I’m a fairly well-traveled person so I wasn’t expecting much from my stay at the Hampton Inn. It was just a place to spend a couple of nights while I was in town visiting my son. The room was really clean and fresh, especially the bathroom which you don’t always get with a limited-service hotel. I was almost overwhelmed when I went down to breakfast. All the breakfast staff were greeting people as they entered and asking if you needed anything when you sat down. All the staff not only were professional but truly seemed to enjoy working there.

Room was newly renovated and the WiFi/internet was perfect for a few last minute work tasks. On a Wednesday night, the Uber app showed $15 ride each way. I didn’t go, but I checked. Front desk clerk was helpful and knowledgeable of the area at 8 pm. Quick ride to the airport. Would gladly stay again. One downer, the shower took 10 minutes to heat up at 4 in the morning. 6 am flight.

Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. However, I am under the impression the hotel owners are trying to cut corners/save money by minimizing or eliminating little things that help make the Hampton Inn brand.

The address given (Governor's Row) is for a different Hampton Inn. I stayed 3 nights. Arrived after midnight the first night. Before booking, I was told that this hotel has a 24-hour shuttle (not true). I tried calling the number given on my confirmation about 3 hours before arrival but didn't get an answer. I tried calling again after landing, but no answer. The person at the reservations desk was able to contact the front desk for me. They said to take a cab (long line at the airport) and they would pay the cost of the cab (which they did). The next morning (shuttle supposedly runs 4 a.m. to midnight), they paid for an Uber to take me back to the airport so I could pick up a rental car (rental counter closes at midnight). Oh, yes, I did stay in a room and eat breakfast there. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast room is pleasant. I ate oatmeal each morning and added fresh fruit and nuts. If I land in Austin again late in the evening, I will reserve a room on airport property to avoid all the shuttle hassles.
