Detailed Reviews
We escaped our home that did not have any power and spent four comfortable nights at the Sanford House. Vann, the facilities manager, acted like our own personal concierge, personally delivering meals to our room so we would not need to walk on the ice and snow.
Vann and Dr. John McDonald, one of the owners, shoveled the show and ice off the sidewalks. What an impressive experience - we've been here before and we WILL return.
Oh yes, and the food was outstanding!

My wife and I stumbled across this bed and breakfast while looking for a getaway/staycation while the grandparents were in town and could watch the kiddos. Very well furnished rooms. We stayed in the Bristol cottage, which is a suite/cottage with four areas. An entry/sitting/living type room with gas powered fireplace. A kitchenette with mini fridge and table, a bedroom with a large king sized bed and ceiling fan. And a huge bathroom with a very large jacuzzi tub and a standing shower. The tub was amazing!
The courtyard outside of the cottages was beautifully decorated for Christmas and had Christmas music playing. The courtyard also had 3-4 water fountains running adding to the peaceful atmosphere.
We did not utilize the spa services, but did enjoy the breakfast in the 504 restaurant.
Over all a very pleasant experience and the wife wants to return again as soon as an opportunity presents itself.

My wife had a mini-conference to attend and we opted for the Sanford House based on the reviews and the overall charm we felt just looking at their website. We were not disappointed, rather, overwhelmed. Accommodations were everything we expected them to be, and the evening meal was, well, scrumptious. A special shoutout to Darla who did a fantastic job in February of this year cancelling our previous booking when the conference was cancelled due to the February ice storm, and also to Ashley who took care of our room and did a super job! Kudos to the entire staff.

What a great experience at The Sanford House Inn! The hosts were kind, welcoming, and accommodating during our stay in the Bristol Cottage. The cottage was decorated very nicely, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. We had a private entrance and our own parking space. It was nice to walk around in the courtyard and secret garden while sipping on some wine. The courtyard also looked like a very nice location to hold an event. Breakfast was a great way to start the day with ample seating, a rotating menu, and friendly service. Also, we enjoyed the location as it was only a few blocks from a brewery, coffee shops, restaurants, and other businesses. Our schedule was a bit packed so we did not get a chance to try the services at the Spa.

Our daughter held her wedding reception here in June. Almost every guest stayed here in rooms ranging from lovely singles to out of this world villas and cottages. Every possible need was met or exceeded. The property and accommodations are just beautiful and the staff were all outstanding. The food for the reception was delicious from hors d'oeuvres to entrees. We also had a brunch in the restaurant that was excellent with one killer bloody mary, so good. Van Anderson, the facilities manager, is a wonderful person and jumped all over my problems, all self-created by the way. We've travelled extensively and I just can't think of a place that I have enjoyed so absolutely in every regard. I will never stay anywhere else when in Arlington. I would highly recommend them for private events, food, the restaurant, accommodations and the thoughtfulness and good natured staff. This was just a total win all the way around. I can't think of a single negative remark and, for me, that's monumental since I'm a spoiled brat. Thank you Valerie for helping my daughter with her planning and making her wedding event at the Sanford House a glorious and joy filled occasion for all of us.

We decided to have dinner at the Sanford House restaurant prior to a Collin Raye event down the street at the Arlington Theatre. The dinner and service was fabulous. We decided to stay there vs drive 1-1/2 hours home at the end of the night. The rooms upstairs are very nice and we were fortunate to get into one of their cottages. We will definitly return for both dinner and an overnight stay again. As a road warrior, I'm not easily impressed but the Sanford House is very Impressive!

This place is absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail starts on the outside and carries throughout the interior. The food in the restaurant is perfectly prepared and the presentation is first rate.
The real jewel of this wonderful location is the staff. Everyone in this establishment was so helpful and very friendly. By the first night of our stay, my wife and I felt like family to these wonderful people. They were all ready with an easy smile, laugh and a true care for what we or any guest was saying. Any place can be clean, wonderfully furnished and provide five star food ( which the Sanford House does), but not everywhere has a staff of people that seem to truly enjoy their place of business and care about their clientele as they do. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!!

Stayed in the Vivaldi room, it was clean and spacious with a desk and a king size bed. There was plenty of room to move around without tripping on anything. The only draw back is that the walls are thin so the next room showering and talking in the hallway was noticed. The staff checking in and out was fantastic, the process was nice and keyless entry to both the room and the after hours access was one less thing to have to keep up with. I was travelling as a single person, therefore, parking and neighborhood become a concern after dark, neither were an issue during my visit. The location is 5 minutes to ATT Stadium, 7 minutes to Choctaw Ballpark and 9 minutes to the Convention center...all of which I visited while I was there. I also dined in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Overall...I will be checking availability for my next trip to Arlington.

Sanford house was our treat for celebrating 30 years of marriage. We stayed in one of the adorable cottages. Beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Charming courtyard with white lights at night. We felt so spoiled! Exquisite treatment at the delicious restaurant, great massages at the spa, outstanding service all around, classy place. I HIGHLY Recommend the Sanford house for any special occasion or a getaway. They truly care about their guests and we felt very special.

What a hidden gem! I visited the Sanford House Spa for a girls' day with my best friend. For Christmas, I wanted to treat her to a massage and I found Sanford House after searching for a unique spa close to her (she lives in Arlington, I live in Irving). I am so happy I found Sanford House! First off, it was incredibly easy to navigate their website and purchase a gift card for my friend's service. When I booked the service, I was able to use the online booking tool and select the time/date that worked best for us. The spa was great about following up and confirming the details. The day of our services, as soon as we arrived we felt welcomed and pampered. Tyra at the front desk was so sweet and immediately created an air of relaxation. She showed us around and helped us get acquainted with the facilities. The relaxation room was a comfortable spot for us to enjoy a quiet moment before our massages. My massage was performed by Derek and all I can say is: Wow! That man was born to be a massage therapist. He spoke to me beforehand and clarified what kind of experience I was looking for, and his service was exactly what I needed. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the service room; the music and aromatherapy was great. My friend's massage was performed by Margo and she was equally as impressed. We were both like noodles after our services!
After our services, we went across the street to the Sanford House Restaurant and enjoyed a delicious lunch. I will definitely be back, and next time I want to book a staycation for me and my husband to really experience everything Sanford House has to offer.
