Hotel is clean and front desk crew very polite. Several complaints about our stay and would not recommend this hotel. Amarillo has so many others to choose from. Every morning we ran out of hot water and the shower heads are broke. Looks like they change settings but are broken. Left an item in the room but after cleaning crew came in the item could not be found. Checked with manager and all they could say was sorry. It’s said but if someone steals and gets away with it they will steal again, but crew didn’t care. Not updated for chargers. Actually had to move furniture to get to a wall outlet. Our family will not stay here again. We have stayed at other hotels in Amarillo - they are much better options. Choose wisely.
Hotel is very clean. Front desk very friendly. We did have a small problem with our room but as soon as I called we were moved immediately. The swimming pool was very clean and warm. The evening reception was a little lame but the drinks were awesome after a long 12 hour drive. Breakfast was very good also. We definitely return. Excellent in my book
We were on our way home and needed a place to stay near where we were having dinner. The hotel is very clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was average- eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy and waffles. Assorted fruit, yogurt and breads. Nothing to write home about, but filling and free. Overall, happy with my stay and if ever passing through again, would definitely stay here.
I had to come to Amarillo for work and they’re the ones that booked my hotel for me unfortunately. I later learned that none of the higher ups in my corporation would ever stay in this hotel because of how many complaints they’ve had from all of its employees. I complained about the hair on my shower wall the first day of my stay and even filled out the “survey” that was in my room stating that the bathroom was dirty and needed to be cleaned ASAP. Disgustingly enough, it never was cleaned the entire (unfortunate 9 night) stay. Every other day, I received dirty towels (because they change your towels daily even when you hang them up) and never once received a sheet change (unless they come with hair already embedded on them). I was fortunate enough to not get the room that had ANTS in the bathroom like my coworker! He complained and didn’t get a room swap or the problem fixed. Not sure why the management is okay with how disgusting some of these rooms are. I’m lucky enough to have brought my own blow dryer since the one in the bathroom is TAPED together. No thanks Ashmore. The breakfast is only okay but I highly recommend staying far away from the waffles. Something, either the waffle mix or the syrup, tasted extremely sour three days in a row. I ended up having coffee, eggs, and a bagel every morning. All in all, it could’ve been worse...but the fact that my company cheaped out and put us up in this hotel rather than the holiday inn express up the road irks me. The upsides of this hotel are that it does offer daily breakfast (albeit not a very good one at that) and a Monday through Friday happy hour where each person receives 3 free drinks and snacks! That was definitely the highlight of all of our stay! They have a pool and a hot tub but I didn’t use either one my entire stay. There’s also a beautiful gazebo outside and when the weather is just right, it was amazing to sit outside and have a few cocktails while watching the beautiful Texas sunset. …
Not the biggest room but quite enough. Bathroom with the sink outside the bathroom. Fridge and micro in room, pretty quiet air conditioning. Very nice gazebo in the yard where we sat and had a beer in the evening. Pretty well-equipped exercise room to be in a hotel. Good breakfast in the morning.
