Detailed Reviews
We took our son to school in Boulder Colorado on the way up we stayed in Amarillo at usually reliable brand hotel and were sorely disappointed 😞 on the return trip I choose to give Atrea a try. It is newly remodeled and wow was I impressed. The pictures accurately described the room and it was spotless. The bed was very comfortable, and the entire staff were happy and polite. The breakfast bar was available from 6 to 10 am which was nice. The room come with nearly a full size fridge, microwave and an individual coffee brewer and even counter space for prep. The low prices should not discourage you. It will be my go to hotel in Amarillo.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the photos of the room and common spaces on the motel website matched the reality! This motel has put in effort to update the furniture and have more modern decor. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. There is a larger fridge and a food prep space with a microwave, which met our needs. The bed was firm, which is our preference, but some may find it to be too firm. The shower head and water pressure were great and I enjoyed the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There is a cute outside courtyard with chairs, twinkle lights and a fun mural z

Lots of good restaurant choices and a Walgreen’s near. Parking lot well lit and felt safe. Newly remodeled lobby with small breakfast available in morning. Room was clean, bed was comfy and room quiet. Slept great. I liked that the room had a coffee maker and we did not hear any road noise (our room was on a side wing). Would stay again when passing thru Amarillo.

I loved the idea of this place, but it was honestly like lipstick on a pig. My shower didn’t drain properly, my door was difficult to shut, the floors were filthy, the pillows were old, the towels were old and worn, and there were minimal toiletries. Be sure to bring your own water as well. In addition, the pet fee is nowhere to be found on the website, so you might as well stay somewhere nicer that includes the pet fee in the price. I hate to leave a negative review, but the list of improvements needed was long and the aesthetic did not outweigh the essentials.

Simple motel. The breakfast selection was limited. Breakfast is only available until 9:00 a.m. At 9:05 a.m. the hatches are closed and you can no longer pour yourself a coffee. The room was noisy, I slept with earplugs. Otherwise OK

Do not stay at this hotel if you want a guaranteed room and hospitable staff. I was looking forward to staying here on our way back to Dallas from the Page, AZ after reading these same reviews; this was our stop for the night after 11 hours of driving.
We made a reservation online directly via the Atrea Inn website (I try to avoid 3rd party websites when I can) & booked over 24 hours in advance. Since we were arriving to check in around 10pm, I called earlier in the day and spoke with concierge Jennifer Martine to confirm there would be someone at the desk at the time of check in. She took my last name, confirmed my first name, and said all was good to check in upon our arrival at 10pm.
When we arrived at that time, Jennifer could not find our reservation. I confirmed it was her whom I had spoken with earlier, and suggested that maybe we were checked in at that time. I gave my ID and booking confirmation number, showing her the direct email from Atrea Inn with the correct date, and was told “the system made a mistake” and that there were actually zero rooms available. She said this happens often.
I was flabbergasted, as I had the email confirmation from Atrea (which she said looked good, but “the system on her end wasn’t pulling it up”), confirmed earlier on the phone, arrived when planned, and was told “there is nothing I can do.” Jennifer made zero effort to try to help us sort the issue out; I asked where we could find a room this late the Friday of spring break she said “it is not my problem.” (I am not exaggerating this conversation was so unprofessional & rude - if management is reading this review, please contact me and I can send an audio recording of this conversation with Jennifer.)
There was no manager on site to help us, and Jennifer said she had zero power to do anything. She tried to call the general manager Cassandra Morris but said she was “on the road” and “could not answer” and “wouldn’t be in until Monday.” Keep in mind, this is the weekend of Spring Break…poor Jennifer is left alone having to deal with our issue (with complete apathy and unprofessionalism, I might add, but I did feel bad for her) and said we could wait to see if Cassandra would answer, but she couldn’t guarantee anything.
Thus, we sat in the lobby for an hour, me tearing up and exhausted trying to find an alternative hotel at what was now 11:00pm, until manager Cassandra showed up. She said nothing other than “we found you a room,” handed me the key, and walked to the back of the office. No apology, no hospitality, no recognition of the fact we were slapped around and told to hit the road at 10pm with a perfectly accurate reservation. It was just…a horrible experience unlike any other. I was grateful we were eventually given a room, but it was not worth the stress. I asked if we could at minimum get a discount for the situation they put us in, and they agreed to give us $15 off. I still have not seen that charge returned on my account.
Do yourself a favor and avoid stress after a long day of road-tripping and book elsewhere.

Cute budget boutique motel. We made reservations for the wrong night and Shawna H was so nice and helpful. She helped us switch to the night we were there. The rooms was clean and plenty big enough. The breakfast in the morning included coffee juice cereal eggs sausage and waffles.
Overall great stop

We stayed here coming and going back to Oklahoma. The staff was efficient and friendly. The rooms and outside were as modern and accommodating as an older hotel can be. Cute and clean...except for the carpet.I wondered if I should even mention the carpet because as nicely as these rooms have been remodeled, I'm guessing they are already working on the carpet problem. I hope they will replace the carpet with the ceramic tile that they have done so well In the baths and lobby because in a budget hotel, it feels so much cleaner.

We were dead tired when we arrived in Amarillo after driving for over 10 hours. This inn was not in the best part of town, but I convinced my husband to stop because it looked like it had just been renovated, and we were in great need of a rest. We were not disappointed. The front desk young lady was extremely helpful suggesting places to eat. The room was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced.

Don’t book a room here they will cancel your reservation without notice. I booked a room via their website and 4 hours later at 9pm they cancelled my reservation. They lady I spoke with claimed the website I used “Expedia or whatever” was booking rooms and they had none available but I booked directly through their website.
