This is a NO STAR hotel. It is filthy, lacks basic service and amenities, and nobody cares. We had a coffee pot but no coffee, no Kleenex, a shower head so clogged we had to remove it to shower among other things. I requested the tile floor be mopped while we were out but over three days, never done. We wore socks continuously and I mopped the area in front of the bath vanity with a wash cloth - see picture of wash cloth and shower head. When we left I looked under the bed to see slippers and other items left long ago among the dust. No vacancy anywhere else or we would have left. Avoid at any cost!

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback, and we are so sorry to hear that your experience was not as you had hoped. We take pride in the cleanliness and tidiness of our hotel, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is not the experience we want for our guests and would like to urge you to please reach out to our front desk for assistance. We also have an after hours number posted both at the frond desk and in your brochure for after hours assistance. As stated on our website and in the welcome brochures we unfortunately are still not offering stay over services to keep our staff safe during this COVID-19 pandemic. However, we would have been more than happy to move you to another room if the first one you reserved was not up to standard. Again, we appreciate you reaching out and hope you give us another chance in the near future to make it up to you and show you just how great we can be. Safe travels and best regards,

Our preference is older, restored and well-maintained properties. This place has the bones for a really top notch W Texas accommodation, though not yet quite there. Trusting that the owners will continue to upgrade as the years go by. Appears to have been an older motel that has been updated. Our room (10) is directly on a sizable patio/green section of the property, perfect for stretching the dogs. The short section of stairs and flagstone leading up to the stairs slightly challenging. Room a bit short on seating options. The well-used freight train line just south of the property was dreamy to hear and never a challenge to our sleep.

Interesting I am sure that I already posted a review that is not showing. The room was dirty: Former renters hair ties, billing, and wine spills. We are avid travelers making our way through Covid. This place is filthy

The Maverick Inn was our go to place to stay in Alpine for many years. We are sad to say it has not been maintained well .. just a little run down now. On the positive side the bed was comfy and we enjoyed sitting outside in the common area in the evenings.

Hello, We appreciate the feedback and are displeased to hear our property was not what you had expected. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic we had to close our property for the majority of the year, and only just recently had the opportunity to reopen. Now that we are open we are doing our very best to revive and maintain a beautiful property again, and we take pride in the cleanliness and rebuilding of our historic property. Safe travels and we hope to see you again soon! Best regards,

We stayed here a single night in October. The rooms a very comfortable and have all the amenities. Parking was ample enough (we were on motorcycles). They supply earplugs in all the rooms because of the proximity to the highway and the train track, but we didn't hear anything while we were in our room. Check in was easy - our room was open and the key was on the desk. We never saw anyone, but we had paid in advance.
