If you plan on taking an RV, and especially a large RV, the Lost Alaskan RV Park is a great place to stay. All of the sites are pull-throughs and are plenty wide and long enough to accommodate even our 43’ fifth wheel and dually. The bath/shower rooms were spotless and the water pressure and temperature were great. Friendly staff too. The only draw back was the lack of a fire pit and outdoor grill.

The staff was very friendly, the park was quiet and well laid out, and what I especially liked was that there were several law enforcement people staying/living there in their RV. Always makes for an extra level of feeling good away from home. Also, the bathrooms and laundry room were super clean! Would definitely stay there again.

Great location for camping in Western TX, with good distance to many attractions: Ft. Davis, Big Bend NP, Big Bend Museum, etc. The campsites are roomy with good space between the sites. First class laundry facilities (which were convenient to our site). Staff is extremely helpful for all your needs.

Great spot, close enough to Alpine to walk into town, far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Close to Sul Ross, easy drives to Big Bend, Fort Davis, McDonald Observatory, great hiking and cycling, river tours, outdoors and dark skies. Family, pet friendly, decent size sites, DIY RV Wash on site, Propane filling center, clean restrooms, attentive staff. If you want a central, safe easy to find your way back after sunset place, look no farther than the Lost Alaskan. BTW, ask the owner why it has this name, you'll get a chuckle out of the answer.

Very nice RV park with 5 covered tent spaces. Tents set up on an 12x12 gravel pad. Each space has electricity and a picnic table. There is a sink with cold running water and a charcoal BBQ.
The showers and bathrooms are very clean and included in price. The camp store doesn't stock any food but there are two dollar stores in town.
I put up a tarp to block the West Texas wind

My wife and i booked a few days here at the Lost Alaskan just to get away for a while. it's got a great location for daily mini trips. We went to Fort Davis to the McDonalds Observatory, then to Marfa to spot the mystical Marfa Lights. then back to Alpine. the park is nice and quiet. they sell propane at a very reasonable price. Most spot are pull through and we have a 43' 5th wheel and we had plenty of room to park the truck. they have a lot on nice amenities, and full hook-ups. And the roads to alpine are some of the best in Texas, newly redone. we will definitely come back.

Been looking at the rv park for awhile. Had to take a trip to El Paso and decided to detour coming back to Alpine. Alpine is situated right in the middle of alot of smaller road trips. Marfa, to see the crazy unexplained floating lights. The Davis Mountains, a 75 mile scenic loop, Mc Donald observatory was awesome, but closed during our trip. Ft. Davis, great little old saloon/ Hotel/ cafe, good eats there. Super area to explorer and get the History of that area.
Traveled in 5th wheel, was there for New Years total of 4 days

The place is very well managed, clean, and dog friendly. There’s a dog park which is clean and a nice shaded walk through pine trees. All drive-through spots which are shaded by pine trees. Bathroom were well kept. Highly recommend this spot!

This is a great rv park with spotless bathrooms and laundry. The people who work here are super helpful and nice. Spots are nice sized and clean. Would definitely stay here again. Big Bend is about 1.5 miles from here.

We stayed here for a night while traveling through west Texas. Our RV lot was gravel and level and had a picnic table. Amenities include a dog park, pool and playground. It was clean and close to the quaint town of Alpine. It's fairly close to Big Bend Park, too.
