Located on the shores of Norris Reservoir, Lake Norris has been designated as the cleanest lake in the Tennessee Valley Authority and is now operated by Recreation Resource Management. The campground is named for Loyston Point at Point 19 on the Reservoir. Come visit the beautiful Loyston Point Campground and Day Use Area on Lake Norris in the foothills of the Appalachian Chain. Loyston Point offers a safe place to park your RV or pitch a tent. Most campsites have a lake view, with many sites on the waterfront, plus there are many trees and grassy areas. There are a total of 64 campsites; of these, 59 have electric hookups. We offer restrooms with heated showers and flush toilets. A fill and dump station is also provided. Loyston Point now offers furnished cabins for rent which offer a beautiful view of Norris Lake and the surrounding forest setting. Community water stations are close by.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Loyston Point TVA Campground on Norris Lake. Our stay was the last weekend of the season and was the last weekend before Halloween so the campground was decorated as such. Our spot #51 was across the street from the lake and considered a pull through. Routine leveling was all that was required to set-up in this gravel site. 30amp electric and water were available at this site, as was a nice fire ring and picnic table. The view was incredible to say the least. Open spots were still available so the campground did not seem crowded. The sites were well maintained, the bath house was clean and the shower was hot. The staff were very friendly, the camp store has an ice cream in a chest freezer and sells and good-sized bundle of firewood. The road is a little narrow and curvy getting there, trailers longer than 30ft may have difficulties. Many sites are unlevel and some sites don't have water on site, due to TVA restrictions on improvements, but if these improvements were made this campground would be twice as popular.…

We stayed in the camping cabins and had a great time. It is a beautiful location with great staff and very clean bath houses. Wish we could have stayed longer than 3 nights. At first I was concerned about the mattresses. We actually slept well. We are looking forward to returning soon

Very nice campground, except this time of year the water is lower from lack of rainfall and drainage for elec power. Still beautiful though! Quiet, few campers, clean restrooms and showers, nice staff. Elec +water, dump station. Lots of hiking/biking trails. Not too far from Knoxville. We visited Zoo Ana Appalachian museum. Laundry at WaveMax in Clinton.

Loyston Point is amazing. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The location is unbelievable. We were right in the water. We were far enough away from boat traffic that it was perfect for kayaking.

We’ve stayed here twice and it’s quickly becoming one of our favorite camping destinations. The campsites are spacious, with beautiful views of Norris Lake. If you’re after plenty of shade, 36 is a great site, along with 9, 10 and 61. For waterfront sites, we like 12, 13 and 60. There’s a small beach area for swimming, and you can also rent kayaks and paddle boards. The campground (and bath house) is incredibly clean, and the staff couldn’t be any nicer. If you don’t feel like cooking, check out nearby Gametime Pizza and La Sierra Mexican Restaurant - great food and great prices. Already looking forward to our next visit to Loyston Point!

Second Trip this year at Loyston Point Campground! This trip was Campsite #50 pull through. Love camping this trip was heat storms with bad winds and rain but still had a great time in our pop up! The campground is always clean, staff super friendly, management Ginger & Richie always helping campers with important rules and upcoming events. They are super friend and nice and just ask that all camper follow the rules. This campground is nestle in the country but also close to the Walmart by about 25-30 minutes. Would highly recommend. And going back awesome Campground. You really need to read the rules on Loyston Point reservations page. No firework which includes sparkles, No Alcohol of any kind, and Dogs must be leashed at ALL times doesn’t matter breed or age and if your dog is labeled under dangerous breeds need to keep it home. My opinion! And remember this is a campground with other families wanting to have a safe, fun & good time too. 🙏🏻…

Staff is so wonderfully kind and accommodating! Campground is clean with most peaceful lake front sites. Plenty amenities and rental equipment for family fun activities. Sites 52 and 58 are my personal favorites! Private little beach area just steps away.
