The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the property is absolutely beautiful, especially considering its priced similar to the average decent hotel. I stayed in the row of connected rooms near the middle of the layout. The rooms are small but very cozy. The concrete block walls help keep things quiet. Wifi and cable are provided. There is a beautiful pond with a beach and some gravel trails.
Having a large family it is hard to find accommodations needed as we all want to stay together and be able to cook our own food. We had 55 people for the reunion and Granite Springs did not disappoint. The owners were helpful and assisted if anything arises. The dishwasher in the lodge was not working and they were quick to assist. We are already planning on coming back in 2020!! We rented the lodge and the cottage both very nice places.
AMAZING place!! We rented the cottage and lodge for two family events. The venue is exactly as described--spacious, beautiful, and a great place for an event! The manager, Kristy, was very attentive both before and during the event. The place was clean with lots of room--everything was in good repair. A tent was rented for ~120 people through Granite Springs for the wedding and the reunion was held in the lodge. I simply can't say enough positive feedback and I have high standards! The commercial kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, etc. Definitely worth the money! The only suggestion I would have for renters is to bring a golf cart--the cottage, game room, cabins and lodge have a bit of distance between them. Awesome views with wildlife easily visible.
We just had a family reunion here. We had the whole place. Lodge, cabins and cottage. The lake was definitely the highlight! Swimming, kayaking, etc. It is especially beautiful after dark with a campfire on the shore and a full moon shining across the water. The hosts were very accommodating with anything they could do to help. Rooms were great. The place was clean.
I was recently at a wedding reception in this great location. Beautifully tucked away from the hustle and bustle. I loved the quaint setting and it was a great place to have a wedding reception. I highly recommend it.
What a beautiful place for a sunrise wedding. Granite Springs has a great location tucked away in the middle of nature. The accommodations were wonderful and plentiful. This would be a great place for any family get together. I would recommend Granite Springs to all nature lovers!
a day of fun lots of clean rooms. lovely reception rooms great porches to dine on. star watching. shooting ranges and even a headed dog kennel. Great place to have fun n the Dakotas!!!! On a clean flowing river great for boating. Hiking and walking are wonderful. Country setting . Lodge is set with full restaurant style kitchen. TV and games.
I recently stayed here for a four day training retreat and the facilities are gorgeous. There is a large central meeting room/dining area in the center of the main lodge a commercial kitchen on the north wing and an open floor plan kitchen/living dining area in the south wing. The lodge overlooks an old quarry that is filled by a spring. There are kayaks, canoes, and a paddle boat available for guest use. The water is very deep so life jackets are a must and children need to be supervised near the water. The service is excellent and the rooms are nicely appointed. There is a great venue for outdoor weddings overlooking the spring/quarry. Good hiking trails, a skeet range and heated kennels if you are coming for the hunting season.
My family had the pleasure of attending my families reunion at the Granite Spring Lodge in Alexandria in August. The Lodge was more than I expected. The lodge is spacious and more than beautiful.Very nicely decorated.Once you walk in the front door you feel like you are at home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to accommodate our reunion. The setting was serene and peaceful. So much to do with so little time.Hiking, fishing, canoeing, talking around a camp fire, relaxing with a good book, star gazing.Need I go on.For those of you who love the outdoors this is a MUST place to stay. The new owners have really put life back into the Lodge. I can't wait to go back. Thanks again for your WARM hospitality.
Granite Springs holds a special place in my heart. We have had several family reunions there over the last 3 years and love the spacious beautiful lodge as well as the gorgeous setting. The kitchen is awesome, we are able to easily cook for our entire crew which is over 100 people. We also enjoy hiking and 4 wheeling on the trails and kayaking while staying there. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a relaxing beautiful get away!
