The Inn is lovely with a beautiful garden walkway which connects the original house to the new addition. The room was very nice and very well cleaned. The bathroom was immaculate - it looked as though it had never been used! Breakfast was delicious and the staff very nice and accommodating. Our only glitch was wanting to get some water.... More

Stayed here for one night in room #123, which is in the main house. Very comfortable accomodations and the room was tastefully decorated. Right in the center of town with walking to many restaurants and shops. Most restaurants were closed on a Sunday night so keep that in mind if you have a choice of nights when to visit Aiken.... In several respects this is seconding other positive reveiws. We were in room 333. But the third floor was no problem since there is an elevator right around the corner. Many fine aspects: the room is commodious, clean, well furnished, and with these: great linens, flat screen TV, bedside lamps (rare these days), and the best shower head I have... More

I booked this so I could attend my Niece's wedding. I almost wasn't able to go because right after the wedding I had to fly home for hip replacement surgery. So, a lot of walking was not a viable avenue for me. This place was not only convenient but was like you were part of the family from the time... More

Great experience, from the time you check in with Lindsey Wise to your departure. When checking in Ms Wise gave a grand tour of Carriage House, with a history lesson about the properties past. Rooms are very spacious, bath facilities seem to be extra large, all of the facilities are very clean and well organized. Breakfast is different each day... More

We stayed here two nights and the rooms were quite spacious with a great little balcony off of the sitting room, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and looking at the courtyard. Carriage House is located on Aiken's main street, next to restaurants, shops and plenty of free parking. Cheerful staff, slightly quirky rooms (but it is an inn after all) and a so-so breakfast. While not perfect, the inn is a great place from which to explore the town.
