This is where we bring all of our out of town guests who visit. We also have two airbnb and send all of our renters here. The food is 5 star and sitting outside during the warmer months is a real plus, as is the beautiful historic setting of the Lobby. We stayed in the amazing rooms while we built our house and traveled periodically from the North. The beds are to die for. If I was to have any complaint, it would that from time to time the staff, especially the host or hostess could be a bit more gracious. Other than that, we LOVE the Wilcox!

Dinner was fantastic. Wife had swordfish and shrimp; I had salmon with butternut squash. Both entrees were excellent. The chocolate cheesecake was a great finale to dinner. Accolades to a great meal. Thank you.

The Willcox has everything, including the all-important intangibles! Not only is she comfortable, cozy, elegant and sophisticated and effusive in all her amenities and offerings, she has that 'je ne sais quoi' atmosphere. Great setting, Gorgeous French Empire architecture and finest hunting lodge beckonings, rooms and bedding out of a fairy take, knock-out food and drink, fireplaces everywhere! A complete spa, a calm swimming pool, solid gym and always a gregarious and happy gaggle of guests! She is the winning combination! And it is her staff and management, from the top down who make The Willcox hum happily. I have worked up law suits there, I have written parts of my books there, I have sat before the fire with a drink and my newspapers, I have just lazed about. She is a dream destination..and the little town of Aiken is a complimentary gem too! I almost hate to say it because I don't want her 'too discovered' but go to The Willcox, immerse yourself in her and validate my complete eye. The Willcox is Special! Dear Mr. Glenn, We are deeply grateful to receive such a wonderful review and especially on Christmas Day! We are even more grateful to have you as such a dedicated and frequent guest of our hotel. We love being your home away from home and it’s customers like yourself that are, as you say, part of our “je ne sais quoi” atmosphere. There is no greater pleasure and no greater compliment than to have someone that returns as our guest time and time again. A guests that enjoys working, writing, or simply lazing about. All the best to you in 2021 and we are looking forward to seeing you very soon. The fireplaces are crackling and beckoning you to come enjoy. With humble gratitude, Tina McCarthy, General Manager and The Entire Willcox Team

The Wilcox is cute, well located, and festively decked out for the holiday season. I loved the fireplace in my room, which was lit at night during the turndown service. I also enjoyed the food and drinks. My friends and I chose to have both lunch and dinner there. Lunch was out by the pool, which is nice if you’re worried about Covid, like I am. There were plenty of space heaters to keep it cozy. I had a room issue which was promptly addressed by the hotel’s manager, Tina. Her focus on customer service, as well as the charming decor, ensured that I’ll be back again!
