Stayed here with my family for 2 days to visit Dorney Park Room was nice and clean. No hot water in the sink for the whole 2 days Luke warm water in the shower for 2 days asked for a extra blanket and pillow and it took forever to get receive sent my kids down to get it and they came up right away cover was itchy. Complained to front desk about hot water and they said give it some time hot water will come on. No hot water ever came on. Very disappointed. Room 611 would like to stay here again but afraid we won't have any hot water

Love this place. Location is perfect for PPL center or just hanging out at the many great places now in Allentown. Rooms are not gigantic, but well designed, and modern. The Dime is a great in house option as well for a nightcap after a fun evening. Great experience every time.

We recently stayed here one night for a relative's wedding. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Very clean and very new. It is very difficult however to navigate between the parking garage and the hotel- but- if you know that in advance you don't mind it so much. The hotel is within walking distance to a Starbucks for those who need coffee first thing and some good restaurants are nearby as well.

We stayed at the Renaissance during a family visit to Allentown. Hotel is very good. Hotel has a bit of an industrial feel, but it updated and very clean. The hotel is connected to the local arena. There is a Starbuck's across the street as well as a couple of good restaurants. Only problem is room that face the street get a good amount of noise. Every time a motor cycle came by the building shook. Ask for a room that does not face 7th Street. There is a dining room. Buffet breakfast is $18. We did not eat there because of the cost. Overall a good choice and we would stay again.

Our son was getting married and they selected this hotel as the anchor for guests. The rehearsal dinner and wedding reception were both within easy walking distance of the hotel so the planning was excellent. Having lived in the Valley for many years, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the accommodations in downtown Allentown. The rooms were great as were the bar and restaurant which overlook the center square. It was cool that the hotel was a repurposed bank building (the Dime Savings Bank). We loved the views from the room and it appears that every room does look out over the city. The only drawback with the property is the parking set up. It is not a typical in-town hotel with a lay-by for hotel access. A couple of spaces for parking have been marked on a very busy center city street for valet parking. It works fairly well but when there is traffic or many people arriving at the same time, it breaks down. Other than that, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in the middle of the action in downtown Allentown, PA.
