We had a wonderful visit to this Bed and Breakfast. Kitty and Dave were very welcoming and the house was just as described on the website. Food was excellent.Their suggestion for dinner was exactly what we wanted. Room had beautiful linens and was quiet and very comfortable. Thanks for a great experience.

The Hartzell House B&B was an amazing location to stay at while visiting Lloyd Wright's "Fallingwater" and the Ohiopyle park area. The hosts, Kitty and David, were extremely welcoming and were able to provide excellent advice regarding restaurants nearby and details on how to organize our trips in the area. They were always available to assist us and share their... More

We normally stay in modern up-scale holes that provide anonymity and we always avoid Victorian for-frou. Generally this means we avoid B&B's. But so glad we chose this one! The house and annex are beautiful, and well-furnished but no fussy. The hosts are wonderful-- eager to share their knowledge, to be available to answer questions, and to provide quite wonderful... Great food, beautiful decor, wonderful hosts. After kayaking and dining at great local restaurants we were greeted with a glass of wine as we watched the Olympics. The Travelers room was full of antiques and very classy. Nicest B&B we ever visited. Hope to return to Cross Country ski and sit in front of the fireplace.

We often choose alternatives to B and Bs but were so glad we didn't this time. What a special experience. Six hours from Ithaca, NY, will get you to Addison, PA. Addison is small and simple but the Hartzell House B and B is superb. The public rooms are comfortable and gracious our bedroom suite was terrific. The architecture is... More

We recently stayed at the Hartzell House with friends from northern Virginia. Kitty and David put us up in the Fernwalk Cottage and we could not have been happier! The cottage and the bed and breakfast are warmly and beautifully appointed, making visitors feel, not just comfortable, but very much at home. They were more than happy to offer ideas... More

This was definitely one of the best experiences we have had with a B&B. The general ambiance, congenial hosts, gourmet breakfasts, and "green" aspect made it stand out. Not to mention that my food sensitivities were addressed with the best of care and attention!
