Check in is advertised for 4 pm. We showed up about 4:20 pm and were told that only 2 rooms had been cleaned, and both were right on the busy highway. As we had asked for a quieter room facing the inner courtyard, we were told to wait until one had been cleaned. In a hotel of a few hundred rooms, on a Monday night, only 2 had been cleaned by check in time?!! Unbelievable! We will not book here again. We were able finally to get a better located room around 5 pm, and it is just a run of the mill so-so room.

Hotel's Favorite
Everything about this place is top notch! Our king deluxe room was HUGE! The bed and sheets were some of the best we’ve ever had at a hotel. The room was super clean and had a great retro vibe. Because of Covid, we picked up dinner at Luna and ate in our room. The food was delicious!! This wasn’t typical “hotel food”. It was fresh, handcrafted, bistro food. Spot on! This is probably one of my favorite hotels ever! I HIGHLY recommend!

Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites and Convention Center has such an amazing vibe and you feel very comfortable. From the moment you walk in the door you know it is going to be a fun stay. The front desk staff are informative, helpful and very friendly. He hotel takes you back to a time when the roadside hotel and hospitality were in fashion. The hotel rooms have a bit of a 60’s-70’s vibe, spacious and well appointed. Very clean and it’s clear they take the cleanliness of the hotel seriously. We were on the first floor and the parking was near our patio area which made it easy for unloading and loading. Ashland is a great little town with a wonderful downtown area, lots of shops (remember Oregon has no sales tax) that offer a variety of local shops and restaurants. We opted to say in and have dinner at the hotel restaurant Luna which was a real treat. They have an excellent continental breakfast, a lot of variety and selection as well as space for social distancing. Mask compliance is nearly 100% which made for a more comfortable environment. The location, staff, décor and overall atmosphere made for a great stay.

Attended a wedding last night with at least several people who acknowledged being unvaccinated against Covid19. The establishment had signs all over about how masks were mandatory in event rooms, yet ¾ of 40+ attendees were unmasked, drinking and dancing. How does this hotel justify or explain not even politely asking people to adhere to statewide indoor mask requirement?

This hotel has been updated with a mid-century vibe but it still needs renovation. The carpet was old and stained. The halls and rooms need paint. The bed was horrible, very lumpy and soft. Our room was on the street, which had car noise and homeless in the parking lot talking in the night. Do not stay here.
