Tucked away in the Railroad District of Ashland is the Peerless Hotel, a hideaway to keep visiting year after year! Starting with a fab breakfast in the charming courtyard, I felt like the day could not help but get better. In these Covid times, this courtyard is a safe and beautiful sanctuary for breakfast as well as dinner at the next door Peerless restaurant, not connected to the Hotel but an amazingly convenient dinner treat. I hope you bring the Peerless Hotel into your radar and support Ashland’s impressive food and hospitality town!

Over the years we've stayed at many hotels, motels, and BnBs in Ashland and The Peerless Hotel is by far our favorite. Only six rooms. We stayed in the upstairs twin-bathtub suite. It was very spacious, nicely appointed, with good central AC and a very comfortable king bed. Lots of light on a quiet street. All the staff were extremely personable. Breakfast was individually prepared, and we had the entire back patio to ourselves. It is right next door to the Peerless Restaurant and Bar which has a very large outdoor garden dining area, exceptional food and friendly wait staff. (Reservations recommended.) Because of the pandemic, we couldn't attend any plays, but it is only a ten minute walk to the OSF theaters. The outside stairs are a good alternative to the twisting inside staircase. Once the plays return, we will be regular guests, assuming we can get reservations. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The suites are huge. Upstairs rooms are probably quieter with no-one above you.

Loved the entire experience! Easy check-in, gorgeous rooms with ample space, an interesting history to the building, great location, and make sure you stay for a delicious breakfast after your stay! Would definitely recommend over a chain hotel.

Sweet space, nicely decorated with large tub and shower. Small fridge and central air conditioning. Breakfast was served either out in the courtyard or in your room (your choice). We were on the 2nd floor and the stairs were a bit of a challenge with luggage. There is no elevator. They have a couple of rooms on the 1st floor.
