When we first drove up to the inn, we wondered if maybe we'd made a wrong turn, as we were on a gravel road with a couple of older, unkempt looking properties there. But sure enough, hidden away a short distance further, was the inn. So it's kind of tucked away from the road, which actually adds to the peacefulness of it all. We checked into the Castle Rock Suite, their largest (and most expensive!) room, and were surprised at how different it was from the website photos. I don't want to pick it apart too much, but I'll just say that a lack of attention to detail exists, and for $489 a night, I was taken aback by that. No tissues in the tissue holder, an outdated fire extinguisher, a couple burned out bulbs, a fridge that wouldn't stay closed because the gasket fell off every time you opened it, and a hodgepodge of furniture that didn't match in the living area. So we felt that it's certainly been neglected for a while and could use some TLC. Okay, I guess I am picking it apart. Again, I personally expect more for a fifteen-hundred dollar 3 night stay. The next morning, after breakfast and before we headed into Cannon Beach, we placed the "Please make up our room" sign on the door. The room was never touched. The next day however, they did make the bed and replenish our towels. As for breakfast, we found it to be very good and wonderfully presented. The menu was a bit different each day, with dishes such as Eggs Benedict, Cinnamon Swirl French Toast, eggs prepared any way you like, etc. Well prepared and sufficient portions. The evening wine and cheese plate was equally nice. (I have included several photos of the inn and the food). The staff was very pleasant and cordial. Their hours are very limited however so if you need anything, be sure to get their attention while they are on the grounds. In summation I would say that it is a very peaceful and pleasant place to stay, although quite expensive, and some much needed attention to detail would make it a better value for the prices charged.

We visited the Oregon coast for the first time. Arch Cape Inn is located in probably one of the best spots in the area, right across the highway from the exquisite beach where Haystack Rock is. It is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Otherworldly, especially during low tide when you can muck around the tidepools near the rock. Also, easy to get to cool places like Ecola State Park (we had a great hike called Clatsop Loop trail), Mantzanilla, as well as Seaside and Astoria (which we didn't get to). The Inn itself has seen better days and could use updating. It was perfectly fine and comfortable, beautiful view (from Heather Room), great cross breeze. You can hear the highway cars but most of the night all you hear is the roar of the waves. Also, the breakfast was really delicious and in a lovely setting. But the room was just a bit shabby. If they could do some renovations this place would be out of this world. Also no one besides us wore masks inside in the common areas of the inn. Given that, due to delta, cases were higher in the county than at any other time during the pandemic, that seemed kind of odd.

We took a short trip down the Oregon coast with our dog and found this to be the perfect play to stay. There are dog-friendly rooms, which open to a patio space so it is eay to get in and out. There is also easy access to the beach, and it's a very short drive to Haystack Rock.

The room itself was spacious and nice, with a large jetted tub and a comfortable seating area with a fireplace.

The breakfast was excellent, and we found the staff to be very friendly and accomodating.

We will definitely be returning!

I originally booked a queen tower suite with a soaking tub and a ocean view through Booking.com, I had the opportunity to upgrade to the king suite their best room for a higher price which I opted to do. I confirmed that everything was taken care of and I got my confirmation letters from Booking.com. When I arrived I was put in a deluxe suite that was half the price of what I paid and not the room I was expecting. When I brought this to the attention of the staff member I was told that the owner would look into it the next day and at least credit me the difference in the room pricing since they had already had somebody booked in that room. The next day I was met by a very hostile owner named Linda that told me that I was wrong and that I had booked the suite that I was in. I showed her my confirmation and she told me that I was wrong and booked the wrong room. In the middle of the night she had changed my reservations through booking.com for a way cheaper room that they have. I was then told that I should vacate the property. I was told they could not accommodate me any longer at their location. The owner is a liar and she flat out changed my reservations without my permission and tried to make it look like it was something I did. Luckily booking.com had all of the paper trail to prove that she was wrong. This lady has zero customer service and is a very angry person that just attacked me and my guest for no reason. Her staff Was very embarrassed and apologetic to the way the owner had treated me and my guest. If the owner would have just offered to refund me the amount of money for the differences in the room then I wouldn’t be writing a bad review about her and her business. Be warned if you rent from this location you may be met by a hostile owner that really needs to get on some medication or take some anger management classes. This was very unprofessional and rude and at the last minute I was looking for a hotel in Cannon Beach on New Years Eve. Luckily I had enough money to rent a place at the last minute. This was my second time staying at this location, the first was different owners and was great!

We stayed for three nights in the Tuscan room. It’s in the basement and has one tiny window but a door to the outside (nice during a pandemic). Mattress was uncomfortable (too soft and bouncy). Housekeeping was by request only via door tag. Only staff we saw were the breakfast servers and one didn’t wear a mask - just a shield. Service was okay, coffee was weak, tea brands were inconsistent. Food was decent. Overall an impersonal experience and an unusual space and not worth the price. We paid less to stay at the Ritz-Carlton.

I found this property on line and was using their web page as my source of information. I choose one of the large suites for my husbands birthday. The images on line were just lovely. In actuality the suite was not furnished as shown in the photos. You can only check in between 4 and 6 in the evening unless you have made previous arrangements. In fact you are not suppose to even come onto the property until 4. Our room did face the ocean and we did have a partial ocean view. However, since Hwy. 101 is closer to the inn than the ocean most of the sounds we heard were traffic. The inn keeper was supposed to have been there from 4 to 6 in the evening. There was a problem with our room and at 5:30 we went looking for her only to find she had already left. There is an on call number for someone if there is an urgent problem. The problem with the room was resolved the next day. The have a daily breakfast which my husband liked. There is also a wine and cheese hour from 4 - 5 which we did enjoy. The back lawns and gardens are small but well maintained. If you have trouble with stairs this may not be the place for you.

Deceptive advertising. There is no good views of the bay. The inn is not facing the bay at all. The rooms are jaded. The inn needs repairs. Two windows in our room, don't close. The tub and the toilet were dirty. The TV did not work. And there's no cell reception for even calls, unless you join their WiFi. They are over-rated, over-priced ($500+) and have bad service. The "Wine Hour" is a joke! She just poured a glass of wine and gave us a small plate of 4 slices of cheese, 2 crackers and a couple of grapes on a plate to share. Then she disappeared and was not seen afterwards. Innkeeper is not there after 5:30pm. She leaves and guests are on their own. There's no food to buy if you want to stay overnight. It's far from town. Nearest restaurants are 15 minutes away. Stay away!

Serene location and cozy accommodations

The gorgeous setting and wonderful staff provided a perfect venue to enjoy our recent anniversary weekend at the Arch Cape Inn. This was a surprising find for us as we have been frequent visitors to Canon Beach through the years but traditionally spend our time in the town. Seeking a more personal stay for this special occasion we found the Arch Cape Inn and the Tuscan Spa room with its fireplace, relaxing sauna and large shower complementing the Fall season weather.

The breakfast service is well done. Featuring creations from chef Saed with touches highlighting attention to detail, the breakfast selections were suitably varied and accommodative of individual choices and the service personal and friendly. The fresh ingredients and locally roasted coffee were a great start to our days spent tooling around the area and enjoying the local scenery. Returning to the Inn later in the evening, the Common Room provided a cozy and welcoming return to spend some time with its selection of games, snacks, wine and of course coffee.

It was obvious the staff are committed to a wonderful stay for their guests. They treated us as friends visiting their own home. Service, intimate setting, romantic backdrop…what more could you ask for? Two thumbs up for Arch Cape Inn.

Linda and her staff have been fantastic. We HIGHLY recommend this Inn. Breakfast will knock your socks off. We stayed in the "Tower" room which has a nice view of the ocean. You can always tell something about the owner when they hire staff that truly want to make you feel at home... correct that... better than home. You cannot go wrong with this experience.

We spent a luxurious two nights at the Inn earlier this week. It was such a wonderful two days. The inn keeper, Emma, is gracious, helpful and welcoming.
Our room was delightful, a large very comfortable bed, a tub with jets and a sweet elevated round area that is perfect for sipping a hot beverage and reading.
The amenities are very enjoyable, coffee, tea and snacks are always available on the main floor. An adjoining room with a large fireplace is a great place to hang out and read, or play one of the board games or perhaps enjoy a glass of wine.
There is a small but impressive breakfast menu featuring new dishes daily. It is easy to tell that the chef loves what he is making because the dishes are creative, delicious and feature fresh ingredients.
Because of the care taken with attention to detail and welcoming atmosphere, it seems to me that this Inn could be a perfect place for a special event.

you would have to contact the property owner its a b&b so if you want the whole place for a large group i imagine you would have to book the whole place

We had the tower room and had an ocean view if we went over to the windows. The ocean is probably a block or two away and across Hwy 101. A short walk 5-7 minutes to the beach. So, it isn't like having a fabulous ocean view from any of the rooms specifically. You can hear the ocean at night with the windows open if there isn't too much traffic. As far as quiet, we found the whole resort to be very quiet, which is something we really seek out. Part of it is that there are no children or families really - mostly couples. It is a great place to stay.
