Gorgeous lobby and grounds. Lots of sitting nooks all over the hotel. Room was more spacious than anticipated. We added a Roll-away and the Couch opened to additional bed. French doors opened to enclosed air conditioned sitting area. Great for mom to read while the teenagers had fun. Toilet was short and noisy, but was a separate room. Pump dispensers provided in shower for shampoo, etc. MULTIPLE mirrors were being used for makeup, however, the shower and toilet could still be used. Mini fridge in room, but wish they would upgrade to microwave also (there is one in lobby). Only one ice machine so quite a walk for it. Pool was huge and fabulous, hottub also. Gameroom right next to it with air hockey, BBall, soccer and ping pong. Continental breakfast area was huge, but also in same area as pool so chlorine smell during breakfast. So we took ours back to the room. Lots of cold food options, but warm options could definitely be upgraded only one entree each day, waffles that you can put in toaster but only syrup, no fruit etc.

Beautiful property! Room was clean, large, and comfy. Excellent meat and cheese tray, delicious bottle of wine, and a peaceful carriage ride through the village, The hotel has many comfortable common areas and the pool/breakfast area is very nice. They have a microwave in the lounge and breakfast area, Perfect place for a quiet getaway. Both employees and guests were very friendly.

Stayed in the Heritage Inn for a scrapbook retreat. While the room and scrapping area were ok I have a few complaints re: amenities. We have stayed here both before and during covid, and everytime the food in the breakfast area stinks! This time was even worse! I was disappointed. Also, little things about the bathroom, WHEN WILL THE INN UPDATE TO THE TALL TOILETS!! And the toilets have no lids??? When you use the bathroom at night, flushing wakes the whole room up because the flush is so loud! As stated before I was very disappointed in our stay.

Our room was spacious, clean, and in good condition. It included a small refrigerator and good size TV. No microwave, but one is available 24/7 in the dinning area. Sauder has outstanding public areas! The check-in lobby is beautiful and the breakfast area, which joins with the pool area, is open and very nice. The breakfasts have a good variety of hot and cold foods and drinks available, including some extremely tasty casserole-type offerings.

I attended rug week at Sauder Village and stayed at the Sauder Heritage Inn for 2 of the days. The inn is lovely and very comfy, with recliners and sofas scattered upstairs and down for your comfort. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The pool looked really nice and is located in a lower level below the room where breakfast is served. In that room there is a gorgeous large oak tree that dominates the space. My room was on the main level and had a very nice patio that looked out onto farmland. The room was also very large and included a recliner, table, closet, ironing board, small refrigerator, and flat screen TV. The bathroom had 2 sinks and was very clean. I was unable to control the temperature in the room but, fortunately, it was set at 68 and kept the room nice and cool. It is a short walk from the inn to The Barn restaurant. You should be aware, however, that very little is open in the area if you are there on a Sunday. The Barn was closed as were most of the restaurants in town when I was there on a Sunday.. The only places I found open were a Mexican restaurant, McDonald's, Subway, and Dairy Queen and they are all in the same location, which is a little over 2 miles from the inn. I was told the Mexican restaurant was quick and very good. My only complaint has to do with food. The inn provides a hot breakfast and sweets from the nearby bakery. However, if you are vegetarian or on a healthy (such as weight watchers) diet, it is difficult to satisfy morning hunger without overdoing carbs and fat, unless you can subsist on a bowl of cereal. Lunch was awful. I paid for 2 buffet lunches at $12 each. The first day presented platters of white bread (think Wonder bread) and beige bread, deli ham, deli turkey, chips, and cake. There was no lettuce, tomato, or any other veggies. I paid $12 to get a cheap sandwich that I could have bought at Subway for $6. The next day we were offered pulled pork (tasteless unless you add BBQ sauce), Cole slaw, chips, and Oreo cookie dessert. Again, I paid $12 for essentially a small scoop of pork and a tiny bit of Cole slaw. It was an ok value if you were willing to eat a lot and go back for seconds, but if you are trying to watch what you eat, it was not good. I wasted $24. Next time I will simply drive to Subway and get a turkey sandwich with lots of veggies for $6.

We had a large family reunion here. The location was picked because of the proximity to our more aged relatives so that they could attend. We couldn't have asked for a better place. We used both the Inn and the campground for people to stay there. We had been planning this for about a year and a half. It was supposed to happen last year, but because of Covid had to be rescheduled. The staff did everything possible to accommodate us as we had over 100 people. They did everything perfectly. The resort is beautiful and the rooms are enormouse. It was much more then any of us expected. If you stay in the inn, do yourself a favor and relax by the small bubbling pond in the back courtyard. It is so peaceful. We may do this again in a few years for our next reunion because it worked out so well for all. Thanks to everyone who helped us there.

The Sauder Heritage Inn, located next to Sauder Village, is an excellent hotel in a country setting. Its 98 guest rooms are comfortable and sure to please. They provide a breakfast buffet which is wonderful. There is also an indoor pool, game room, and plenty of places to sit, relax, and socialize. Adults and kids will love the Sauder Heritage Inn.

We have stayed at the Sauder Heritage Inn and a return visit offered no disappointment. The property is extremely spacious with ample areas for sitting and visiting outside the guest rooms. It is an immaculate and update facility. There is seating outside as well and the pool offers a great place to unwind. The aquatic area is tasteful and pleasant--this is not a standard hotel pool area. It is clean and people are very respectful. The restaurant on the property offers great food. Cannot recommend a better place to take a break for a few days. It is easily accessible from Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.

Looking for a quiet country getaway? Stay here! We reserved a deluxe king room and it was awesome. The room was BIG, quiet and very clean. The view from the room's porch was of a red barn and corn field. It was so quiet we could hear birds singing...what a great way to wake up. Due to Covid-19 the breakfast was very limited but there is no limit on how much you can eat. You can always pig out on delicious baked goods at the reasonably priced Dough Box Bakery. The pool is clean and large and the hot tub is a great place to relax after walking through Sauder Village. If you don't want to watch tv you can borrow a book and sit in one of the wonderfully comfortable chairs located throughout the Inn. The Village will take about a day to explore and it's well worth the time. The charming town of Archbold is less then a mile away, so if you forgot something you can purchase it there.

The setting is perfect for a summer get away. Rooms were nice, but beds were a bit old. Get a room with a small deck, it overlooks the cornfields and great to watch fireflies at night from. My only complaint was we tried to get the discounted tickets to Sauder Village a few seconds after we checked out but were told we couldn’t because we checked out. That part was really crappy considering we had 4 rooms for 2 days and dropped over a grand.
