Looking for a quiet country getaway? Stay here! We reserved a deluxe king room and it was awesome. The room was BIG, quiet and very clean. The view from the room's porch was of a red barn and corn field. It was so quiet we could hear birds singing...what a great way to wake up. Due to Covid-19 the breakfast was very limited but there is no limit on how much you can eat. You can always pig out on delicious baked goods at the reasonably priced Dough Box Bakery. The pool is clean and large and the hot tub is a great place to relax after walking through Sauder Village. If you don't want to watch tv you can borrow a book and sit in one of the wonderfully comfortable chairs located throughout the Inn. The Village will take about a day to explore and it's well worth the time. The charming town of Archbold is less then a mile away, so if you forgot something you can purchase it there.

The setting is perfect for a summer get away. Rooms were nice, but beds were a bit old. Get a room with a small deck, it overlooks the cornfields and great to watch fireflies at night from. My only complaint was we tried to get the discounted tickets to Sauder Village a few seconds after we checked out but were told we couldn’t because we checked out. That part was really crappy considering we had 4 rooms for 2 days and dropped over a grand.

The Inn is somewhat dated, but very clean. Room are very large and clean, however bathrooms are fairly dated, and water pressure was minimal. As big as the rooms are, I felt the TV was too small for such a large space -minor detail. They do have an indoor pool and small workout room. Onsite breakfast was basic, and nothing to get excited about. Across the parking lot is the Barn restaurant which is good wholesome food, but other than that, choices are slim. For the price, this was a good choice, and service was very good.

I recently stayed at the Sauder Heritage Inn for scrapbook event and the only space that was warm was the actual room we were scrapping in. Our room NEVER warmed up even with the temp set at 76, the halls and lobby were cold. If I could have gone some place else I would have.

I am so sorry that you did not have heat in your room. I went back and checked with both the front desk and our maintenance department. We have no record of a complaint about a room with no heat the last weekend you stayed with us. We had a maintenance person on duty both days and we would have been happy to assist you. If this was from a stay early last fall, then we did have a weekend where all of our boilers went down for a period of time. If you made a complaint this time, and we didn't address it, I am very sorry! Always feel free to contact the front desk when something isn't working, and we will do everything in our power to rectify the situation as quickly as possible. We will do our best to make sure you have a much better stay on your next visit. - Steve V.

My family recently stayed at Sauder Inn along with extended family. We've been staying here for many years as we have family in the local town and Sauder Inn always makes us feel like we're staying at our home away from home. The staff is welcoming, helpful and respectful. The inn is beautiful with wood accents and many personal touches that give it a warmth beyond simply a comfortable bed to sleep in. Cookies are left in the room to snack on, there's a pool if you so choose, a large t.v. in the common area, a warm breakfast with plenty of options, and the location is right on the grounds of the museum, village shop, restaurant, and more so you can literally walk to everything. It's peaceful, comfortable, clean, with all the amentities our family enjoyes. I highly recommend Sauder Heritage Inn.
