Spent three days at the Oneal House. We were treated really nice. The accomodutations were excellent. Would stay there again. The breakfasts are something to look forward to. GPS found the place with no difficulty.

My husband and I stayed at The O'Neil House for 2 nights. We had such a good, relaxing stay there. Our room was so spacious; it was actually 2 bedrooms with one and a half bathrooms, and a living room. The house is really big and beautiful, surrounded by really pretty gardens and a pond. And the breakfasts were amazing!... More

Tranquil, luxurious, local historical nostalgia, regal, lush, ethereal, delicious, special, intimate yet not-so-intimate which was perfect for me, immediate and personalized attention, once-in-a-lifetime treat!

Have you ever been to Stan Hewitt? Think of the oneil House as its little brother. Outstanding breakfast and gracious hostess. I would stay here again and give it my 5 star rating. I read for a bit on the patio and it was like a breath of fresh air to have such a relaxing spot. I needed to be... More

We stayed in a lovely room overlooking the main street. Our friends stayed in a suite overlooking the gardens. Our rooms were clean and furnished to the period of the home. The breakfast was exquisitely made by a chef with a flair of grandeur. We were all very pleased with our second time of staying at this turn of the... More

I have been a guest at the O'Neil House on several occasions and have only been disappointed when I was NOT able to stay there. I've had the privilege of staying in several different rooms there and each has it's own charm. Gayle and her assistant are gracious and friendly. The house itself is incredible and comfortably luxurious. The breakfasts... More

The website calls this a "no smoking" property but the stench of smoke permeates the place. We had to sleep with the windows open and we left without even staying for breakfast. In the morning the proprietor was "out" but her assistant essentially revealed that it's the proprietor herself who is a smoker. The house could be very nice -... More

The owner Gayle is as sweet as pie. The rooms are an amazing trip back in time when architecture was a thing of art. The bathrooms are spacious and the tubs seductively long and inviting. Most importantly, Gayle allowed us and other runners involved in the local marathon road race to return after the race to clean up, eat and... More

Our one night here was great. We stayed in the Master suit. It was much larger than we expected with a large sitting room. The entire house is decorated with cool antiques. It was as clean as it could be. We could not find dirt or dust, even as we looked for it. Breakfast was 10/10.

This is a once and a lifetime experience- staying in the home of a former robber baron. The breakfast was delicious and the assistant who served me in the breakfast nook could not have been more friendly or accommodating. It's important to hire good staff; this reflects on the management. However, I echo the other commenters from this site on... More
