Asheville River Cabins are frequently commended for their spotless cleanliness and cozy, private atmosphere, with the added convenience of being close to downtown Asheville. While the cabins are often appreciated for their thoughtful amenities and serene environment, opinions on room size and value vary; families sometimes feel cramped, and opinions are split on whether the cost is justified by the amenities.
However, the service at the cabins is consistently acclaimed, with staff providing attentive, prompt assistance and a smooth contactless check-in process.

Detailed Reviews
Decided to stay at the Americana Cabin June 29-July 1 2021, after years of wanting to visit Asheville NC. I changed my reservations from a newer hotel downtown, after I realize I would be paying $30 daily just to park my car. Best Decision Ever. The Americana Cabin was very clean, keyless entry, perfect for a socially distance vacation. Very modern amenities inside. Nice shower with super hot water. We were able to save money everyday by cooking our own breakfast, as there is a cook top stove and cute retro style refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. It was so relaxing just sitting by the riverfront. My partner decided to use the hot tub, which he enjoyed. I think the only negative thing I could say was the WIFI wasn't working when I got there. It was quickly noticed by the next morning, and fixed. Quite frankly, I was ok with being off the grid and not focused on my phone so much. They also want you to put tabs in the hot tub after use, but the cleaning tabs were not available. Overall, great cabin, and hopefully we will be booking again soon.

Hi c0urtneyg843, Happy to share that in August 2022, Asheville River Cabins has relaunched under new ownership! We have the same amazing location along the French Broad River, just outside of town, but a completely new property with new cabins and Airstreams. Our amazing General Manager and team welcome you, as well as your friends and family (and dogs too if you would like) to return back and experience the next chapter of the new Asheville River Cabins. We'll see you soon!

These cabins went above and beyond beating my expectations! We first drove in and thought, "weird to see houses", but then when we pulled into our parking space that thought quickly dissapearred. The view took over once you stepped onto your private porch! Each cabin was perfectly arranged so that you felt like you had privacy from your neighbors due to privacy fences, windows all on the same side of the cabins so you didn't look into neighbors windows, blinds, etc. All outside furniture was sturdy, comfy, and clean and made the porch and fire pit areas much more enjoyable. I spent 90% of my awake time outside. First bundle of wood was free, and they even thought about convenience by adding in firestarters so you don't have to think about how you are going to start your fire. I liked the convenience of the smores kit option. Don't let the price fool you, this is the best smores you will ever have and is totally worth the price! Even came with roasting sticks so you don't have to go find your own in the woods. Every morning I was excited to wake up and get in the hot tub with my coffee, listen to nature and watch the river and every night I was excited to make a fire, get in the hot tub and watch the stars. Inside was better than some hotels I have stayed in! Beds were comfy, sheets were soft, pillows were perfect! The tv had many options available for viewing your favorite movie or show if that is what you prefer, and the fireplace under it added a nice ombiance. We had a twin loft which had lights, comfy beds and even a fan. The full kitchen with a big fridge and dishwasher was an added bonus. It had everything we needed to cook our meals including lots of storage space. The little master bedroom had a lot of space and storage for 2 people and was bigger than it looked online. Bathroom was also very spacious for such a little cabin. I loved all the little details, including the towel/coat hooks which took me a minute to figure out what they were. I would not change a thing in these cabins. Oh and final treat was a provisions truck which had beer, wine, snacks and anything else you might need. Door Dash also delivers andything and everything else you might need since you are so close to town! I highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back soon!

This place is amazing! A hidden gem! The staff is incredible. A true “white glove” experience. Upon arriving at the cabin, we had all of our furniture neatly placed on the patio and fire pit area, along with wood for our fire pit. The cabin was spotless and the staff had set up some coffee and hot chocolate on the counter for us. It is a great location and only 15 minutes from downtown Asheville while offering us the quiet and camping experience at night. We brought our pup and there was plenty of grass and a river to bring the dog to. At one point, we ran out of firewood and texted the staff and they answered within minutes and we were directed where we could obtain additional firewood should we need more. We can’t wait to go back.

The crew who manage the cabins are wonderful. They replied quickly to my every inquiry. We were paddling the French Broad River and they allowed us to park our cars there as it would be our take-out point. We stayed in two cabins - one Garden View and one River View. They are lovely. Just big enough for two, although if you had small children the loft would accommodate them. It is located right on the French Broad River with great views in a very quiet setting. They have a drink/snack cart called Provisions where you have get light snacks, beer and wine.....which was perfect after paddling for 3 days. Highly recommend it and we will be back sometime!

Stayed in tiny home at Asheville River Cabins over Easter weekend with husband, adult son and our Pomeranian pup. We were very comfortable in the home, which had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped for meals and snacks. The beds were comfortable. The coffee nook was loved by us all. The river view was beautiful! Best of all, the people were friendly. We would recommend Asheville River Cabins to anyone that wants to enjoy clean, comfortable lodging with nice views in a peaceful setting.

+1
This place is great! You would never know you are only 10 minutes or so from a busy town. It’s the best hide-a-way spot right next to the river. We chose a cabin with hot tub and river view. The cabins are unique tiny homes with thoughtful details. Very clean and homey feeling. Gas fireplace, outdoor fire pit, hot tub (excellent), kitchen with some pots & pans, dishes, silverware, coffeemaker (including coffee/tea/sugar/cream), dishwasher, full size refrigerator, range and microwave. The queen size bed is on the more firm/harder side for my liking. There was also a loft with 2 twin size mattresses. (The steps to the loft are narrow and steep if you have issues climbing steps) There is a common area that has a sauna and large community fire pit where they offer gatherings for anyone glamping at ARC. They also offer a provisions “food truck” type of place where you can get drinks, snacks, firewood, etc. The establishment owners/management are so thoughtful, friendly and accommodating! You can text them about any issues or items you need (like more towels or trash pick up etc) Just wonderful! Very enjoyable, very beautiful and definitely a great option for staying a few days. (Especially if you like the idea of camping without having to do primitive camping haha)

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Asheville River Cabins. My whole family went. There were 20 of us staying in 5 cabins, including 10 children ages 1-15. All cabins were spotless, comfortable, and well stocked with everything we needed. The kids had plenty to do in a very safe area to run around, explore, fish, and play in the river. The staff was very responsive. I could shoot off a quick text and had someone show up quickly with whatever we were looking for. We would love to return for another family vacation.

This weekend’s sore spot was this place. It was clean and new, yes. It’s secluded and near a River. Yes. That’s nice. But the actual place?
The cabin feels as if it was built by LEGO and airdropped in Arden NC. The walls? Paper thin. Water Pressure? With a river nearby you’d think there’d be a current. The loft? Dangerous. Ceiling thin. 200 windows so everyone can see you. Beds were not comfortable. No garbage disposers so have fun scooping bits of leftovers.
$850 for two nights? No.
No. This is like a $150 a night place. It’s economic and simple. But they hike the prices and gauge people for the holidays (like so many try to do) but they do not have amenities to really justify the prices. Will never come here again.
