This property is representative of the Comfort Inn brand. My wife and I often stay in Comfort Inns. This one was fine. The room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a bit cramped. The staff was friendly and the breakfast satisfying. Typical for the brand. Some areas of the hotel could use a face-lift.

The hotel is old and outdated and we had ants and fruit flies in our room. The room, and hotel, had alot of stains and dinge. There aren't many hotels in this area, especially nice ones, so book early!

This was home away from home. A bit dated, room had some issues (a couple of small patched holes that needed painted over and we saw a few ants) BUT.... 1) It was clean. That is huge for me. It can be an old place, but needs to be clean and 2) It was so customer oriented. Julie at the front desk was the best and we had also encountered a cleaning lady (can't remember her name, but very dark hair) who was super helpful and friendly. I am not usually one to make small talk. But I was a long ways from home traveling for the first time alone with my kids - very stressful. First off, we got their early and they let us check in early. After getting up at 3 a.m. to catch a plane, that was HUGE! And then because I was a Choice member - we got to check out later. Back to Julie - she probably got tired of my questions, but maintained a pleasant composure. Being from a land-locked state and knowing the coastline was 3.5 hours away - I wanted to make a day trip, but was concerned about the onslaught of crappy weather and constant thunderstorms that direction and on the trip to and from. That's when she said - you should go to Myrtle Beach - same distance, but weather had been better. She was so right - I studied weather maps and Myrtle Beach was the way to go. I hadn't even thought about going that direction - had only considering the NC beaches. And for those interested, it was nice that they had a washer and dryer on site to use. Location was pretty sweet, too - short driving distance from hotels and a couple of Walmarts. Anyway, this place isn't brand new, but the staff make it a great place to stay. We were there for Jr. Olympics and a lot of things didn't go the greatest, but when we got back to the hotel, it felt like we had a home away from home. Thanks!

Went there for business and it was just old. Some of the spackled ceiling was falling and there were patched holes in the walls that had not been sanded and painted. Woke up with bite marks all over my stomach and thighs. I checked the mattress and couldn’t find any bed bugs so I don’t know what bit me. It coulda been dust mites I guess. Was supposed to stay the next night but I immediately checked out and went to another hotel.

There were ants on top of the furniture where the TV was sitting. Looks like they wipe the counter down with something but whatever it was was attracting ants!!! We wont be stay here again!! We only stopped here because it was raining so hard you could barely see on the road. Never again!! I will be asking for a refund!!
