Stayed at the Bodrum Kempinsky for five days on vacation. This hotel is pricey, but it’s worthwhile, in my opinion, for a stay that is both exciting and relaxing. In fact, I must say it was terrific and first-rate in every way! Where do I begin? For me, the single most important quality of the hotel is its service, meaning the staff. As luxurious as the hotel is, and as much as the grounds are facilities are wonderful, it is the careful attention of the staff, from top to bottom, that makes this Kempinski hotel outstanding. The check-in was smooth and pleasant. The room was FABULOUS: felt like I was in paradise—with the amazing sea and mountain views from the balcony, and the spacious suite with living and bedroom. The room was cleaned daily (more if requested), with turn down service in the evening. The front desk and concierge teams were ALWAYS available for any question, to offer advice, to make reservations and other arrangements. The hotel pools are excellent, though the water was a little cold. So was the water at the private beach—but that’s typical of Bodrum in June. The water, however, is super clear and clean! And you always have that amazing mountain and sea view from the pools and beach. I must single out the two members of the concierge team, Samet and Mevlut, who made our stay wonderful with restaurant recommendations and reservations. The boat ride that they organized was TERRIFIC! A full day out at sea in the Bodrum area, swimming in beautiful, crystal clear water, with wonderful, fresh food on the boat. The food at the hotel restaurants is very good, even if it gets a little repetitive. The waiter staff is always around to assist. The outdoor bar overlooking the pool has that amazing mountain and sea view. A shoutout to Resul who makes spectacular drinks! If one gets tired of the hotel restaurants, one can always go into town and enjoy the many places that Bodrum has to offer—with great recommendations by the concierge team. Again, I must conclude where I began: the staff at this hotel, from top to bottom, was superb! Friendly, professional and capable in every way. They gave me a wonderful send-off when I left and I hope to return one day soon.…
My wife and I spent a week at this beautiful resort, which hands-down has the best location/beach in Bodrum! The service is top-notch. Everyone is very attentive, friendly, and really cares to make your stay memorable. The property offers two large sized outdoor pools, and a beach (not some dock like most Bodrum hotels) with amazing crystal blue waters. Breakfast is superb, and there were no corners cut due to pandemic. Everything is offered, with following all safety/health guidelines. If you are staying more than 3 nights best to venture out for dinner. There are many options in Bodrum. (Our top picks are Ent, Otto, and Naru) In my book two properties can compete with this beautiful resort 1) Mandarin Oriental - no doubt MO per usual sets the bar with an amazing product, and food&beverage concept. But be ready to pay at least 4/5 times the nightly room rates. 2) D Maris - however this property is not in Bodrum, and you have no options outside the resort. So... unless you are ready to shell out lots of money (Mandarin) or spend an entire vacation on the premises (D Maris) this is your hotel! The Kempinski Bodrum - value for money - is by far the best! I would strongly suggest calling the hotel. They have an amazing reservations team/manager. And certainly consult with their first-class concierge team. They assisted with many of our planning. This is my 4th visit to the Kempinski in Bodrum. I am here with the family (we took 3 rooms) since yesterday. Many friends have warned me that the standards have dropped and that the Mandarin now offers a significantly better experience. We did not heed their advice as we always liked the views and the service of the Kempinski. However it is clear that standards have dropped. Some examples; 1) The great majority of the staff doesn’t speak any English. For a 5-star international hotel, this is not right. 2) There is a significant reduction in the number of service staff. At the beach you can’t call on anyone, you have to get up and place your order. Their ‘remote’ iPhone-based ordering system doesn’t work properly. 3) The level of cuisine also dropped. At the Italian ‘Luce’ restaurant we had to return 2 dishes. At ‘Olives’, they brought our food at completely different moments so we could not enjoy our meal together (the waiter couldn’t understand a word we were saying..). 4) They have closed a couple of restaurants but did not inform us upfront. Anyway, I sure hope things will improve over the coming days, otherwise we will have no choice than move to the Mandarin.…
High class hotel, best service, located in a beautiful place. There are some problems such as: the same breakfast every day - need a little variety, but it does not ruin the vacation that the hotel staff make sure you spend with a sweet memory. In the evening there is nothing to do in the hotel and you have to go out to either Bodrum or Yalikavak
Location is amazing. It has one of the most breathtaking picturesque views I have ever seen. It has the best beach on the Bodrum peninsula.It’s a 30 min ride from the center though. Food is good. Staff are very humble , friendly and helpful. Staff needs to speak better english.
