The hotel common areas were very clean, with staff frequently sweeping, polishing and buffering floors, although a little bit more attention to detail with the room (behind doors, less obvious areas). The only disappointment with the room was the shower leaked badly (we had to sacrifice a towel during every shower to contain it)
The biggest bonus was the use of the South Hotel, which had an extra star (and you could see why). The food was better, the facilities bigger and better, however at peak times (dinners in our case) you've got turned away quite rudely by a girl standing at the entrance.
Food is very repetitive (breakfast is exactly the same every day, lunch and dinner slightly varies) There was a live cooking station in South hotel with some really nice options. Drinks are somewhat limited. You can have lager, wine, brandy, vodka, gin and soft drinks. Oh, and the cocktails are "barman specials" which basically means they throw in what they want
Staff in general don't speak English. You don't get shown around on arrival or explained where facilities are (like getting beach towel from Spa in South hotel), but there are some staff that are brilliant... Anil (very young boy) was always working hard, so we made a point to give him a personal tip before we left as he was always very polite and friendly.
All-in-all, for the price we paid, we can't have any complaints, however, they would need to raise their game at peak season
Didn't like private beach area, it was never clean, always piles of unfinished drinks, empty plastic cups, paper cups and anything else under the loungers, near the loungers, some of them from yesterday or days before, ashtrays around full of buns, some of them spilled over. Never seen any staff who clean or collect them during the day. Breakfast - no any juice and its very basic. Over the years of coming to Bodrum I stayed in 1 star, non-star hotels and up to 5 stars, this one claims 3 or 4 stars but the breakfast doesn't fit that category at all, boiled eggs and another milky eggs (?), that even Turkish people don't know what it is and don't eat, dinner is the same all the time, no sea food/fish. Chef was present during the dinners but never interacted with guests even with Turkish ones inquiring about the meal. Again for 3 stars the meal was quite poor. I paid $120/nigh all inclusive, so from this point it is over-priced.
Tips: in July 2015, taxi fare from the minibus (dolmus) station to the hotel was 12 TL on meter; hotel is located away from the Turgutries town center but pleasant walk along the sea shore takes about 15 min. For orientation to the city center, see big white Mosque. For shopping, there is local bazaar in the city center but I prefer going to the shopping mall, the nearest biggest is Midtown shopping mall, take minibus (dolmus) in direction to Bodrum, pay 4 TL, tell to the driver "Midtown", they understand, 10-15 min. ride. At the mall look for Turkish brands stores (LTB, Koton, DeFacto, LC Waikiki, Kemal Tanca (the best shoes IMHAO, I buy it every time I visit Turkey), all are better than buying Chinese staff at the bazaar. Starbucks is coming soon. :))
Entertainment: Turgutries is small and quiet town, few bars, local beer Efes around 10 TL, imported 12-15 TL, optional you can buy beer in the supermarket everywhere 5-6TL and sip it on the beach, it is allowed. Local Turkish wine - Kavaklidere is very good. All noisy and ravishing bars and clubs are in Bodrum city or Gumbet. To go to Bodurm city, take minibus (dolmus) - 5 TL one way , services only suspend between 5 AM - 7 AM. To go to Gumbet, take minibus to Bodurm and then switch at the bus station to Gumbet - 3 TL.
Overall: I recommend Turgutries, lovely place, and many thanks again to Turkish people for their hospitality and friendliness.
Plates with food left on sofas in the corridors for days on end.
Room cleaning in very poor, cleaners do your bed but don't leave any clean towels or toilet paper. Had to ask a few times and then wait 4 hours and had to ask again.
Rooms are worn down, defeniately needs updating. Curtains falling off the rails when you want to shut them. Photos on holiday sites must have been taken many many many years ago!!!
No restaurant or bar facilities, needs to use a different hotel for food and drinks.
Food is very poor, always cold!

We have experienced the Dragut Point North quality completely.

One of the waiters asked me where I was from I responded London.
The waiter made a gesture of someone being hung by the neck and said “the queen is dead” and laughed. Which I found very offensive.
The same waiter did not apologise. Very shocking.
