Not long back from a wonderful relaxed 2 week stay at the Serpina Hotel. So much to compliment them on,great holiday! From the minute we walked in we were greeted by welcoming smiles & our luggage was carried up to our bedroom on the first floor. Lovely spacious room with views over a beautiful swimming pool & terraced area. We had lots of wardrobe hanging space & storage space! With an integrated Safe & a small fridge. The air conditioning & safe are extra & very reasonably priced. Our room was cleaned daily & fresh towels & bed sheets changed every day or so. The pool is gorgeous, clean & cooling after a days sunbathing! There are plenty of Sun beds & a quirky shower area in the shape of a traditional Windmill. Breakfast is set out up on a beautiful veranda overlooking the pool. Great selection of cold Cheeses, boiled eggs, omelettes, fresh Melon etc. We ate lunch & had evening meals on a few occasions, the food is delicious & very tasty! Great value as well. The staff are superb! & totally make the hotel. So friendly, helpful, accommodating & made our holiday extra special & memorable. Couldn't fault a single thing. Well done the Serpina, you are all amazing people.

Just returned from Hotel Serpina. From day 1 you feel as if you are a guest in someone's home as you are so well looked after and feel as though you are amongst friends. Ozzy. Engin Hari, manager Ali and other staff members who im not sure of their names all go above and beyond to make your stay happy and comfortable. This holiday was not booked by ourselves and was given to us by someone who was unable to use the holiday. We usually stay in 5 star or boutique hotels and have extensively travelled many times per year. We would have never normally booked this hotel . We are so happy we stayed here because of our experience with how well the guys look after you. Our honest opinion on the hotel itself is as other people have mentioned needs attention in rooms. Our shower was extremely dirty as was entire bathroom but I just didn't have the heart to complain and believe me normally I would. For our taste breakfast needed a little more choice. They had a menu for breakfast lunch and dinner at a small additional cost and was always cooked to perfection. Gumbet we felt was bit uncared for and scruffy. Bodrum was lovely and only a very cheap taxi ride under £3.00. We will definitely return to this hotel as we had a lovely relaxing holiday and we believe the new owner is going to undertake some renovations over the next few months as they are closed until April. A genuine big thank you to you guys at hotel Serpina, You are a credit to the hotel. Lots of love Nigel and Jan xxx

Just back from week away. Great relaxed atmosphere, staff can't do enough for you.Special mention to Engin, Oz and Ali although whole staff great. Location 200 meters from beach and start of local shops. Given its location it extremely chilled and no outside noise from street/shops, which is what we wanted. Rooms a little dated but wasn't there to stay in room all day!! Beds comfy, no kettle in room but allowed to take hot water up with us when wanted. Extra costs for air con and safe, so be prepared for that. Breakfast is "very" basic but you can pay for full English at nominal cost. 25 min walk to Bodrum town, plenty of cheap local buses/cabs to take you there if needed, local restaurants friendly and food good. Shops pretty much usual touristy stuff, shoes/T-shirts.. Has a medical facility next door so any issues easily dealt with....All in all loved it.

We were booked to go to another area of turkey with Thomas cook and our holiday was cancelled when they folded so we changed to Gumbet as a last minute option and we were so glad we did. We visited gumbet 20 years ago and it was a Crazy party town back then, it’s much quieter now but that suited us well as there are fewer nightclubs but many more (and better quality) restaurants and bars. We had a wonderful time at the Serpina the staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and in a great location close to the beach but we actually stayed in the hotel most days as the pool area is lovely and the the hotel food is excellent quality and great value for money. There are plenty of shops close by and a supermarket like Aldi just a few doors down the road. There is a Dolmus stop across the road and it’s 10 mins to bodrum centre. All in all a great holiday in a great location at a lovely hotel with fabulous staff :)

Just returned after a 10 night stay as a family of 3. We were allocated rooms next door to each other as requested and this hotel is probably the best one we have ever stayed in during our 30 years visiting Turkey. The rooms are modern and comfortable with reasonably priced air conditioning which is fantastically cool and a safe in each room. Toiletries and slippers are provided along with a hairdryer and small fridge to store your own drinks. The staff are one of the main highlights of this hotel they are all so helpful and friendly and there is a daily maid service with regular linen and towel changes. The pool area is lovely with plenty of comfy sun beds and parasols around the pool and the added bonus of it being adults only means you can relax without any screaming kids jumping in the pool (no offence to those with kids but been there and done that) The breakfast is fresh, varied and plentiful. We ate lunch a few times at the hotel and the portion sizes were great and it tasted delicious and was really reasonably priced. The hotel is in a great spot at the quieter end of the resort with shops and restaurants on your doorstep. I honestly don’t have any negative things to say about the hotel at all. Sadly we will probably not return though but that is because we were not fussed on Gumbet and much prefer other resorts in Turkey but this is by no way a reflection on the hotel at all as it really is top class. Thanks to everyone at The Serpina for a wonderful stay and you fully deserve to be the number 1 hotel in Gumbet.

So hubby and I came child free and chose Serpina for a few reasons. Great price, location, brilliant reviews and ADULTS ONLY lol 😂
We arrived in the early hours and was greeted at the door, quickly checked in and shown to our room. We went to the bar for a quick drink, Ozz the barman and Elgin were super friendly and spent some time chatting to us. They are fab.

The rooms are basic but clean and got to say the king-size bed was probably the comfiest we've ever slept in while abroad. The rooms are in need of some TLC, especially the bathroom. Shower was powerful but the shower doors had come off the runners and the sink tap was literally a dribble but for the amount of time we spent in the room it wasn' t worth mentioning.

Air con (which was needed) and safety deposit box were £50 for both for the week.

Breakfast was OK but we missed it a few mornings so ordered full English, delicious, as was all the bar food.

We got a late checkout till 6pm which was £20, definately needed as our flight was a late one.

All in all we had a great time and would definately book again if the price was right.

A gem in, to be honest, not the nicest of resorts!
This hotel, despite feeling like going in to the tardis for the first time on arrival, is a real jewel!
The staff are fantastic, ossie, engay and all the team go out of their way to help in every way to ensure you enjoy your stay.
The hotel has been done out recently and our room, 405, had a great upstairs view of the pool.
During our time, July 9 to 16th, there were ample sun beds but this may change in peak season?
Breakfast was typically turkish with plenty of choice and every other day one of the staff would do omelettes and pancakes to order.
The restaurant served food until around 2100 and we ate there for the majority of our stay and must say there was enough choice for us and every meal we had was good ranging in price from around 175 to 400 turkish lira per head.
Other costs included air con for £35 per week, safe in room for £15 per week and last day kick out time is noon but you can extend til 5pm for £20 or 6pm for £25. I would suggest having your tab paid every day and getting a receipt as we didn't realise there was 10 per cent already added on to the bill and often tipped extra. Our fault not theirs for not checking.
The pool is the Center piece of the hotel and was open from 9am til 8pm but watch out! It is over 5 and a half feet all around with no shallow end entrance.
Book this and you will enjoy, plenty of other restaurants and bars around and the beach is a 5 to 10 minute walk away!
We went on holiday to relax and do nothing and we came back having done both of those things thanks to this little beauty of a place.

Just came back from an 11 night stay in the Serpina hotel. Staff are friendly and are always on hand to help with any problems you may have. Rooms were on the small side with very little room however, for us we didn’t need anything much bigger as we weren’t in the room long enough to worry about this. The only downside to this hotel was that the breakfast was continental and there were very limited English options available. Fresh bedding and towels were not provided daily which was a bit of a let down as we spent 11 nights in the same bed sheets and everything else such as towels and toilet roll we had to ask for on the off chance we saw the cleaner. This hotel could benefit from having a large bin provided in the room as this was something we were in need of. Food both lunch and evening was exceptional, great quality and quantity. The pool area gave off a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere with there being poolside music each day. The hotel is in close proximity to everything you need- beach, supermarket, bars, restaurants and shops but is far enough away from the noise. Overall I’d stay here again and hope that if I was to re visit some amendments could be made on the domestics, breakfast and room items.

Great hotel! Stayed for 2 weeks with my husband, nothing a problem for staff, my husband has a bad back and when we mentioned this we were moved straight away to ground floor, rooms are basic but have everything you need, (although could have done with a long mirror in the room), they are spotless and are cleaned everyday, beds are really comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, boiled eggs, salad, cheese etc, normal things you would find on a Turkish breakfast, occasionally did omelette or pancakes, scrambled eggs and Turkish sausage. Staff were amazing and worked so hard, you don’t even have to leave your sunbed as there is pool service, music great around the pool from 10am, lots of Motown and northern soul. Met some lovely people round the pool. It’s a shame they don’t have more than the one night of entertainment a week as it was really enjoyable, I sang my first ever karaoke 🤦🏻‍♀️. Couple of cats in the hotel, I’m not a cat person but they were not a problem (in fact I may have been a bit converted by the end of the holiday)! The hotel has a big screen that you can watch the football or rugby on, even the cat got involved and was watching it! Hotel is in a prefect location! It’s close to the beach only a 5 min walk and bars, restaurants, shops, clubs etc are about the same distance, even though it’s such a short distance the hotel is just the right distance that you don’t hear any of the noise if that’s a problem. A 5 min taxi ride to Bitez, the taxi rank is right outside hotel, also only a short ride to bodrum, both about £3! We didn’t get the bus as taxi so cheap but bus stop outside hotel. If we were to return to Gumbet, which we are looking at doing, I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the Serpina. The hotel itself is clean and well maintained. The staff are very efficient and friendly. The manager Ali is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble and he is a lovely guy.
The pool is a nice size and there are plenty of sunbeds. There is also a garden with a comfy area and a couple of exercise machines. Both of these areas are cleaned regularly and you can have drinks poolside or in the garden area.
The rooms are small but nicely decorated. The beds are extremely comfortable and you can ask for extra pillows. The shower in our room was very cosy, not a lot of wiggle room, but does the job. We had issues with some elements of the housekeeping but this was rectified as soon as we spoke to Ali. Towels and bedding are not changed daily but this is not a problem as we don't change these daily at home. There is a balcony with stools and a table, ours was overlooking a courtyard and fairly private. There is a fridge in the room for you to keep your drinks cool and for an additional fee you can have use of the air conditioning and valuables safe. You can also extend your room stay on the last day, for a small fee, if you have a later flight.
Breakfast is continental with local meats and cheeses, fresh fruit and salad, fresh bread and cereal. There are hot foods which change daily such as scrambled egg, sausage, omelette and pancakes. Drinks included are tea, coffee, water and orange juice. There is a lunch menu you can order from and the food we had was very nice. The chef even made us some fresh tomato soup which was not on the menu and it was delicious.
If I were to add suggestions to improve the overall experience I would say an information pack in the room would be helpful, chairs rather than stools on the balcony, a bin in the bedroom area and glasses provided in the room. These are not necessary but would make the space even better.
Serpina is located close to restaurants, shops and local transport (taxis and dolmus). Less than 10 minutes walk will get you to Gumbet beach where there are many more restaurants where you can use the sunbeds for free if you buy drinks/food.
If we ever return to Gumbet we would definitely stay at Serpina. Thank you for having us.
