Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI

The Bodrum Beach Resort boasts a vibrant atmosphere, teeming with bars and live music that many guests enjoy, though the fruit section seems to fall short of expectations. Cleanliness is often lauded, though calls for updates are noted. Its location is a hit for its beach proximity and scenic views, while the amenities, including a family-friendly pool, are appreciated despite some restrictions on slide hours. While service receives commendations for friendliness, instances of inconsistency have been pointed out. Room opinions are polarized, and while the value proposition is strong, some guests raise concerns over specific charges and cleanliness.

Firstly we welcomed by the front of house and taken to out rooms, very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and they provided me with a travel cot for the baby. Bathroom has Toothbrush and Toothpaste prepacked, shampoo, shower gel and slippers! Rooms were clean enough as was the bathroom and shower.
Breakfast was very minimal on our 1st week but this is because we were the only guests as season hadn't fully started. 2nd week there was slightly more options but still not am adequate selection, especially for children. We lived on bread, Nutella and boiled eggs (not together lol)
Slides are on 10am to 12pm then off until 2pm, which they then switch on again until 4pm. Pools were clean and regularly maintained during our stay.
Baris was very helpful and welcoming during our stay. He always made sure our family had everything they needed. Thanks Baris! We ordered lunch many if the afternoons by the pool, can I just say it was delicious! We are really fussy eaters but the burgers and the cheese meatballs were out of this world!!
Sadly our holiday ended on a bad note, we were charged approx £55 per room for WiFi which didn't even work! (20 euros per week per device, so the figures don't add up anyway) We all attempted to connect which generated the payments at reception. The manager didn't want to help or even listen to us in regards to this. We would have loved to return in September but due to that ridiculous charge and the nonchalant rude behaviour from the manager and reception we won't be! Such a shame.

Bodrum beach resort and spa was fantastic.
When people do reviews they will always find the faults but you could go to the best hotel in the world and still find fault
The location was out the way but there was buses into bodrum for less than £1 and easy to use and get back and taxi outside hotel just get price before you go.
The room was nice, big, clean.
The staff where really nice go above and beyond to help and can speak some English in most cases and some can speak it well, but we used Google translate.
I would like to mention Bilal isik who was one of the best waiting staff I have met and goes above to make your staff amazing. Also the chef Mustafa erdinc lovely and professional
The beach is only small but gumbet has a bigger beach which you can go for the day.
Carlso does a trip into gumbet to a lovely restaurant shanghai the mini bus is free, the food is lovely and reasonable price and you can shop.
If you expect 5* go to one but this hotel is highly recommended and we had a wonderful time and nothing I would change.
Thank you

We stayed here around 8 years ago and always thought about going back ......wish we didnt . We go to Turkey at least 2 times a year and this is not a 4 star hotel its a 3 star at best .The rooms are showing there age , the Air con is less than useless and constantly timed out poor satellite TV (hardly anything in english) and mosquitoes rule the night ,worst i have experienced in Turkey , wont be going back here again

We ignored the negative reviews and paid the price.
First night dumped into a dirty and disgusting room,no information given by reception, not even offered a bottle of water. Not even told that shops and bars were only 5-6 min walk( turn left out the hotel)if we were hungry or thirsty.
We decided to sleep as it was late, went to reception at 2.00pm the next day and Anil showed us to a better room,if he hadn't we were checking out for sure.
Pool was ok,it's a reasonable size, lot's of damage to the pool vents, tiles and loungers( they have no padding on them.)
Breakfast was ok,we managed to find something, some families struggled with it.
Slides were as explained turned on and off
Beach at the rear is disgusting, turn right and walk up the beach as it's cleaner
Wifi is not free, you pay for it however it worked ok for us.
Rooms were cleaned intermittently,so we just took towels from the cupboard on the landing and toilet roll.
If you have mobility problems stay clear,no ramps and steps are needed in and around the hotel.
The hotel looks nothing like it's glossy pictures, tired, rundown and in need of TLC.
Harbour is a short taxi ride,go up the hill to the right it's quicker,
Go up the beach and look at Parkim Ayaz,a real 4 star hotel.
Don't book trips with hotel,go to beach or main harbour.
Go to Kos(remember your passport) it's a nice day out, turn left out the ferry port, find the noddy train and the bikes and cycle around.
The big water park is fun,but lot's of loud music and not all the slides work.
We didn't let the hotel ruin our stay, waiting staff worked very hard, management don't care,if you want a cheap hotel with no frills then book it.
I've been to Turkey 4 times and speak the language slightly but, this hotel is the worst I've stayed in.
It doesn't deserve a 4 star rating at all.
I've included pictures from both rooms,I couldn't add all the pictures of dirt and rust from room one I'm afraid.
Room two with the bunk beds and double bed was cleaner.

I appreciate things may be a bit different due to covid 19 when going abroad. The room in the hotel was basic, beds comfy and room cleaned everyday. Our room did smell a bit of sewage so kept shower and bathroom door closed as this is where it appeared to be coming from. Hotel reception was fine but a smile wouldn’t have hurt. We booked bed and breakfast but tried breakfast on the first morning and for ourselves there was nothing except cold meats and cheese, a limited amount of fruit and cereal, and bread. We couldn’t even make a bit of toast and was clearly a very limited breakfast. We went down to the beach every morning for breakfast and then would just end up staying on the beach for the day so never spent any time in hotel just to sleep.
The beach and town of gumbet is lovely and we found lots of great places to eat and hang out during the day and evening and prices are very good at the moment.
I would not go back to this hotel but would return to gumbet.

After looking at previous reviews I thought I’d give it a chance. Wish I hadn’t bothered! On arrival at 3am we were expected to walk down 2 flights of stairs with all of our cases, so if you have mobility issues this hotel is not for you. We had 2 separate rooms on the same booking and were disappointed that we were put into separate blocks.

On arrival the double room was awful, door hanging off, bed sheets dirty mouldy bathroom!

The family room was a bit better, good size, but mould all over the bathroom, disgusting 🤢. Bathroom poor condition in general. Aircon in bedroom was on a 5 min timer then you had to manually switch it back on, annoying. Living area aircon worked ok. Bed was made daily I’m unsure if it was changed though as we only had 1 sheet on the bed as a cover. Kettle in the room but no minibar as advertised and tea bags etc were never replenished.

Breakfast was the worst! We went first morning and agreed no point in getting up for it although Pancakes were good, there was freshly made Omelette, boiled eggs, toast. Fries/chips no thanks. Fruit non existent a weird plastic bowl of fruit to make the area look full of fruit, but it was plastic!!

Onto the outside area. I booked this hotel as the reviews assured me there was enough sunbeds for all guests! What a lot of rubbish ! First morning no beds, had to go to the beach! 2nd morning I went down about 9am managed to get the last 4 and only because someone had reserved them for someone else and the person reserving said we could have them. After that we’d glance in the morning on our way to windy bay for breakfast and there was never any so we just went to beach, saves hassle! To get a sunbed at the beach down from the hotel, we went into the cafe and paid 25lira per bed for the day, great value.

Kids enjoyed the slides at the hotel best thing about it. Slides were on intermittently throughout the day.

Also the food at the poolside bar at the hotel was fab and very reasonable priced.

Gumbet itself was a fab place to visit and eat out, we had a great holiday despite the hotel, although the hotel is very well positioned for the beach and loads of great restaurants close by, but there’s loads of great hotels along the beach, I’d look at them first.

Just back from 1 week here, it was a last minute booking and very pleased with the hotel for the money we paid.
As I was travelling with my mum, I requested a twin room and on arrival we had a big room with a double bed and bunk beds. I was ok with this and found the room very clean and comfortable.
We were bed and breakfast and the choice in the morning was limited but good, there was a chef to cook omelette or fried eggs. (Think there will probably be a better choice in summer)
As we were out of season only the pool bar was open and sold snacks and drinks were very well prices for a 4 star hotel. Pool was immaculately presented.
Staff were great and very friendly especially the day reception and the pool bar.
Would definitely stay here again.

Really bad run-down resort, unqualified staff who refrain from speaking English and liars.
My girlfriend and I had booked a double room, instead they gave us a room with two single beds, with dirty bathroom, broken bathroom vent, dirty towels, broken desk, dirty balconies and when I said I wanted another room I they always said that the next day they would change it for me which never happened. The room was serviced one day and the other not the same thing for the towels. The wifi I had to pay separately because they said it was not included in the price, I paid 40 euros for 10 days, which is unacceptable for a resort.
This resort is to be avoided absolutely.

The resort is honestly very nice and good for the families. The lunch and dinner twhich served are to an exceptional standards, with drinks and snacks all day long. The rooms are nice, housekeeping is quite good as they do clean your room on time. The staff within the resort are very welcoming and they pay attenion to your needs to make you feel as comfortable as possible if you are not satisfied. We were very pleased.

I was mesmerized by the nature of Bodrum and belong this, The hotel which I stayed 11 nights with my friennds was an amazing experience. According to my interpretations, the most effective way of taking high points is making the guests feel ilke home and I felt that. The receptionist whose name was Serdar I think was as helpful as He can because we had a problem with the location of the room and he dealt with it as soon as possible. The hotel was bed and breakfast which I like ‘cause we were tasting different Turkish foods outside. The part of Turkish bath made me relaxed.Vast opportunities of the hotel made us pleased. Everyone was smiling there ! Thanks for amazing journey!
