The setting of this hotel is beautiful and peaceful. There is a lot of potential here, but they do need to change their management. Our stay was quite horrendous considering the prices that they charge. I do not typically write reviews and love to travel the world and stay at luxury hotels which are always up to standard. We live in New York City and love the finer things in life. This hotel, for the prices that they charge is just not it. First of all, the service was horrendous. We had to flag waiters over every day just to get a menu and it felt as if they were doing us a favor by taking our orders. They use for poor quality cutlery and glasses. A glass broke in my hand within a minute of me taking a sip out of it, and the waiter had no idea until my boyfriend had to run after him for a bandaid. When you first arrive, they assign you a staff member who will exchange phone numbers and "take care of you throughout your stay." I was excited and asked to book a massage. The woman said she would contact the spa in the morning and get back to me... she never did. When we check out of hotels, we normally just glance at the bill since its usually accurate. This time, I was shocked to see a number that I knew was at least double of what we spent on food and drinks. I asked the manager and she had no idea and she said that we had to pay it. I made her review everything and in the end, they actually owed us money! Absolutely ridiculous and disorganized for any hotel. Be careful checking out of here so they don''t scam you.

MacaKizi BeachClub was a really poor experience. The “sunbeds” are literally placed on the ground, extremely next to each other where you share a sidetable with those next to you. There is no umbrellas either, the whole area is covered by a thin tent, so you can either get shade or sun in your sunbeds but not both. If the shady areas are full, you automatically have to sit in the sun. It’s not sandy nor rocky, as there is no beach to speak of. You have to jump in from the sunbed area. Beachclub is small, not many tables, music is inaudible. There are many other luxury hotels in Bodrum that offer a wonderful beach experience. Overall, not worth it

Macakizi is exceptional in every way. The ethereal magic that has been created here from the ambience, the food, the experience and especially the service is nothing I’ve experienced. l've been a few times now and I recommend this place to EVERYONE I speak to. Chef Aret has created something truly breathtaking with the menu - lobster saganaki is a MUST and the Calamari Carbonara is one of the most creative dishes which hits every time! The Managers (F&B Director Johannes Hartmann and his AGM Fatih) of the restaurant are without a doubt, the best in class - the service standards are impeccable and the finest in Turkey. Other establishments have a lot to learn from their attention to detail, personable manner and outstanding level of thought that goes in to creating a level of service I’ve not experienced many times. The beach bar is just brilliant - the resident DJ’s all unique in their music tastes delivers next level party vibes - it’s up there with some of the best music I’ve listened to. Everyone is so happy at ‘happy hour’ - nailed it! If I could live at Macakizi I would, but my bank manager might hate me! Just go! - it’s pure magic, bottled, and served with a smile

We have visited Maca Kizi Hotel in June, The hotel rooms are just about average and like most resorts at Bodrum the sea is polluted due to Raw Sewage from the boats moored in front of the hotel so please do not expect pristine sea like in Maldives or the Greek Islands We had lunch and dinners at Maca Kizi restaurant during our stay. Their buffet at the Week ends is beyond terrific. The restaurant is a fine dining level with extensive selection of wines at reasonable prices We had the pleasure of meeting the Executive Cook Mr Aret and the F&B Director Mr Johannes Hartman,I must say these guys are top class professionals. Maca Kizi is not cheap at all but you really get more than what you pay for Do avoid the Beach Bar at the weekends Happy hour its full of young kids with their parents credit cards. To summarise if you are heading to Bodrum MACA KIZI Restaurant is the place to go

Worst service and all staff have an attitude. We paid more than $2500 to get treated badly. The place is nice and food is good but we left so upset at how rude all the staff is. We went to M Gallery twice on this trip and it was lovely. I do not recommend this place. Try M Gallery, you wont be sorry

The hotel and its beach are stunning ,unfortunately we had the worst customer service any one can have which ruined the rest of our vacation, we went in for lunch and some of us chose the buffet , those who did went and got salad and less than 10 minutes later they went for the main dish , but unfortunately the whole buffet was removed completely, so they asked to speak to the manager , and when we were directed to see him , he was eating lunch , so we waited and 5 minutes later he came raging in anger , and when we complained about removing the buffet he started screaming at us cursing maybe because he did not finish his lunch , he was actually the F& B director mr. Johannes Hartmann , he lacked manners and for sure lacks professionalism, he needs lots and lots of training in how to treat customers rightly, we urge the hotel management to go back and check the cameras please and hope they can hear the language he was using ! It was Monday July 16, @ 4 pm . Thank you

Celebrated my Fiance's 40th birthday here with 15 of our friends. We stayed at Macakizi three years ago and we were blown away, we knew we wanted to share this special place with our friends. It's so beautiful, and situated in the best part of Bodrum in my opinion. Less wind, more local restaurants and trendy social spots nearby. It's a very social hotel, which is why we loved it, especially for this occassion, but be ware the music from surrounding establishments can be heard well after 1am. Otherwise food, service, gym, spa, location, everything is absolutely spectacular. Can't wait to be back!!

Highly recommended. We came here for the beach. Minimum spend is 3,000 TL. But it is wort the money spend. Food is great. Service is excellent. There is open buffet (might be only Sundays) the cost is 2,000 per person by it is very good. Bar is very lively. Ambiance is excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.
