I always go to this hotel because it is the best located, in a beautiful bay with sand and a breathtaking view of the city of Bodrum.
From the hotel you can easily access the city either on foot (approx 15 minutes), by taxi (between 150 and 180 TKlire, by water taxi (100 TKlire per person)
The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool, but when I go there I always enjoy the sea because the sea is so clean and transparent that it is a pleasure to swim there.
Regarding the cuisine, it is delicious, many typical dishes, a very large choice of mezze, salads and dishes, everyone will find what they are looking for.
The staff is very attentive and very friendly, they understand English, especially Seda who is always in a good mood and very responsive, but also the others..
The rooms are spacious, I always take a room with a sea view, thus all inclusive, even if I don't eat there every day.
There are good places to visit like for example Gümüsluk, Yalikavac, Anthaven...
Concerning the welcome of the hotel, very warm and professional, the decoration of the hotel is a little sober, osmane style, very clean..
I can only recommend this hotel..

Upon arrival, we found a smoky room; upon request, we were moved to a room with an improved category and a cool view from the balcony (room 303).
The evening programs were very good, there were no children in the hotel, which was nice, and no one pestered us on the beach to buy a tour/fur/massage.
There were water buses that carried you to the city center and back for 60 liras.
Minus: in the evening there are a lot of cats in the restaurant, which is completely unhygienic in public catering, since they brazenly climbed onto the table to grab food from the plate, you always had to dine inside the restaurant.
Well, the staff forgot to prepare a lunch box before departure, it’s good that the flight was not delayed.

We went as 2 couples and were allocated rooms 205/206 which appear to be single occupancy rooms considering how small they were. They also were not ready for guests - one room had no towels, no SAFE?! and a single scratchy blanket instead of the usual second sheet, we also had absolutely no pressure in the shower so to get some hot water (which never came) the tap had to be turned almost off to get it so we had a dribble to get showered in it was ridiculous. And a leak under the sink which flooded the bathroom. The 2nd room had no towels no TOILET PAPER?! and again the bed wasn't made up properly so another call to reception. This room also had issues with plumbing.
The beds were extremely uncomfortable rock hard mattress on a solid base.
Away from the rooms the general cleanliness of the hotel was shocking, it was filthy - the floors in the lobby and all around the pool sticky spilt drinks everywhere and glass, the tables and brolly's were sticky and dirty too so they were of no use. Years ago every night staff were cleaning the lobby floor with a machine and the pool areas washed down first thing but we saw no one cleaning. The sun beds have been swapped out for new ones but they have metal bars in the seat area so they are the most uncomfortable sunbeds that have ever existed! If you have a bad back or leg/nerve pain do not use them they are awful.
The food is pretty standard but cannot say anything that stands out from breakfast, lunch or dinner. There are some live counters for omelette, kebabs etc but normally there is a lot of waiting for this too.
The outdoor swimming pool was so cold and most guests were not willing to enter the pool, the indoor pool is overcrowded as it's a very small one.
The staff at the main restaurant, coffee shop, pool bar are so hardworking and always smiling which was refreshing to see everyday.
Didn't use the spa but the prices were fairly high for a normal massage.
Poor entertainment options so for kids there is not much to do apart from sitting and chatting with parents or going into town etc.
The internet is so bad, constantly drops all the time and watching or streaming is not an option unfortunately.
The hotel says there are 2 Alacarte restaurants but it's closed at the moment so the only option is to eat in the main restaurant all the time which can be a little boring at times due to repetitive food.
The room is not so good either, the toiletries given are so poor quality and hotel which says 5 star can leave some decent brand shampoo, conditioners and body lotion.
The Air conditioning doesn't maintain a good temperature for the room and often disturbs sleep at night.
Overall this hotel was disappointing as normally easyJet gives a pretty good deal when it comes to Hotels or resorts.
Of course if you wanted decent service and more alcohol in your cocktails, at the bars, well you better tip good, or things get worse.
We arrived at 1am and were greeted with a smile, offered hot food before bed, and then taken to our room by a lovely member of staff.
Goods:
The hotel was very clean and tidy.
There were complimentary cans of pop and bottles of water in the fridge everyday when housekeeping cleaned the room, they changed the covers and tidied up every morning after breakfast.
The all inclusive food was good (a solid 8 out of 10), it was all fresh everyday and there was always something that we liked, they also had a few themed nights where they served Turkish kebab on the spit and other dishes.
The drinks were pretty good for an all inclusive, the iced coffees were made from scratch and the spirits were of a decent quality… All bar staff were lovely!!
The pool area was very clean, there were plenty of sun beds so you didn’t really have to get up and rush to get one in the morning. They had a water polo match everyday which my boyfriend loved and other activities, we also went out on the town with the event reps one night which was decent too.
The beach area was lovely, there wasn’t too much space between sun beds but the sea was as clear as ever you could even see a few little fish at the bottom!!
Overall the staff were really kind and helpful throughout our stay and nothing was ever too much…. :)
Bads:
The food on the evenings did get a little bit repetitive, instead of themed nights every night there was a little bit of similarity but there was always something nice to have and always a good choice of hot and cold.
The hotel room was a little outdated in decor but still clean, the air con worked pretty good but not great and once on all night you did feel a bit of a cold in your nose in the morning.
Bodrum itself is quite expensive compared to other times I’ve been to Turkey, and as to be expected the shop owners can be pretty “on top” when you walk around the town. Bars are pretty great for a laugh a drink and a Shisha!!
Overall me and my boyfriend were very happy with our choice for holiday and we had the best time!!! If we go to bodrum again we will be sure to check back in to the Salmakis :)
Little shoutout to our favourite waiter Ibrahim we became really friendly with him from the first morning when he sat us down at a table in his area of the restaurant and instantly asked us how we were and what we wanted to drink, we ate in his area of the restaurant for the rest of the week and he couldn’t do enough for us our glasses were rarely empty and he made us smile everyday!!!
He was so shocked and happy when we left a nice tip for him at the end of the week for all his kindness as he clearly was a genuinely happy person and wasn’t in it for the money xxx

The hotel isn't a classic bunker of beds, it "climbs" up the mountain over many small levels. It feels like a small village. The only really negative, but bearable, criticism is that the hotel's WiFi is extremely slow and you can't do much more than write messages. However, this shouldn't put you off spending your vacation here.

The hotel hall is really very beautiful, with large windows overlooking the bay in front of Bodrum Castle.
The rooms are spacious but the dark carpet does not give the feeling of being very clean and this is also evident from the general unpleasant smell.... The bathroom is equipped with every comfort including a well-stocked courtesy kit.
The staff is helpful, although they don't speak much English.
The beach is nice. You can find a place even if you don't get there too early, because many people remain on the sunbeds by the pool or in the garden. Furthermore, there are not many hotels with a sandy beach. Most offer only a "pier".
The taxi boat that takes you to the center for €2-3 is also convenient.
The real highlight of this hotel, however, is the restaurant. Excellent all inclusive, equipped with hot and cold dishes, cooked, grilled, fried.... All delicious!
Truly there was something for all tastes.
I recommend it because despite having frequented several 5 star hotels in Türkiye I have not found this standard in any of the other hotels.
