Salmakis Resort & Spa boasts a vibrant atmosphere with enjoyable evening entertainment, although the charm is slightly dampened by feedback regarding some dated rooms. While the staff's friendliness and professionalism are often celebrated, a few guests have encountered slower service. Room experiences vary, with both cramped and spacious options noted. The hotel's scenic location and proximity to local attractions are widely applauded, yet opinions on value and amenities like Wi-Fi are mixed. Cleanliness generally receives high marks, despite occasional housekeeping lapses.

Just back from the Salmakis hotel where I had already been there several times.
I always go to this hotel because it is the best located, in a beautiful bay with sand and a breathtaking view of the city of Bodrum.
From the hotel you can easily access the city either on foot (approx 15 minutes), by taxi (between 150 and 180 TKlire, by water taxi (100 TKlire per person)
The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool, but when I go there I always enjoy the sea because the sea is so clean and transparent that it is a pleasure to swim there.
Regarding the cuisine, it is delicious, many typical dishes, a very large choice of mezze, salads and dishes, everyone will find what they are looking for.
The staff is very attentive and very friendly, they understand English, especially Seda who is always in a good mood and very responsive, but also the others..
The rooms are spacious, I always take a room with a sea view, thus all inclusive, even if I don't eat there every day.
There are good places to visit like for example Gümüsluk, Yalikavac, Anthaven...
Concerning the welcome of the hotel, very warm and professional, the decoration of the hotel is a little sober, osmane style, very clean..
I can only recommend this hotel..

Just back from a 10 day stay at Salmakis. This has been our 8th visit. The hotel has been improved this year. The pool bar and restaurant floor have all been retiled and most of the rooms have been refurbished with new walk in showers. It is still by far the best all inclusive in Bodrum. I have shared experiences of other all inclusive hotels in the area with members of the Bodrum and Gumbert Facebook sites and there is no other hotel where we have never had a problem getting a sunbed no matter what time you go down to the pool. The staff of which many have worked there for years are always so welcoming and give great service. Shout out for Sala ( not his full name ) in the restaurant , Biliah, Fatima and the team at the bar. Also a new animation team this year that were much better to previous years, well done Hazel and the team. I also will mention that this was the first time we had an issue with the rooms not being cleaned for the first few days but a big thank you to the night manager Izmir ( again not her full name ) who sorted it out immediately and came to see me the following night to make sure everything was sorted. My advice is if you have a problem, ask for the manager. They are so passionate to make sure things are put right. As for the food, well some people have moaned about the food on this site all I can say is that is rubbish. Such a wide choice and yes , potato's chips mash you name it, dont understand how people dont like the food when there is so much choice. You can also have lunch in the lower restaurant that cooks fresh to order, great pizzas burgers etc. The other big plus is the top bar on the same level as the reception. The bar is open 24 hours and you can order a burger or a toasted sandwich at 3 am if you want to. The balcony area and seating is lovely and quieter and the view across Bodrum is breath taking. See you again in September Salmakis !!!

Good afternoon We stayed at this hotel from October 14 to October 21. The hotel is very good, the rooms are a little tired. The spa was clean, I liked the Turkish ritual performed by specialists from Thailand, the restaurant was always very tasty, the house keeping cleaned the rooms very well.
Upon arrival, we found a smoky room; upon request, we were moved to a room with an improved category and a cool view from the balcony (room 303).
The evening programs were very good, there were no children in the hotel, which was nice, and no one pestered us on the beach to buy a tour/fur/massage.
There were water buses that carried you to the city center and back for 60 liras.

Minus: in the evening there are a lot of cats in the restaurant, which is completely unhygienic in public catering, since they brazenly climbed onto the table to grab food from the plate, you always had to dine inside the restaurant.
Well, the staff forgot to prepare a lunch box before departure, it’s good that the flight was not delayed.

Never thought I'd be writing such a negative review about this place. We've visited on and off over the last 10 years (even our first destination as a couple back in 2014!) but what a change and not for the good. We last came in 2020 once Covid-19 restrictions were lifted so we gave a benefit of the doubt back then but 4 years later and it's terrible.
We went as 2 couples and were allocated rooms 205/206 which appear to be single occupancy rooms considering how small they were. They also were not ready for guests - one room had no towels, no SAFE?! and a single scratchy blanket instead of the usual second sheet, we also had absolutely no pressure in the shower so to get some hot water (which never came) the tap had to be turned almost off to get it so we had a dribble to get showered in it was ridiculous. And a leak under the sink which flooded the bathroom. The 2nd room had no towels no TOILET PAPER?! and again the bed wasn't made up properly so another call to reception. This room also had issues with plumbing.
The beds were extremely uncomfortable rock hard mattress on a solid base.
Away from the rooms the general cleanliness of the hotel was shocking, it was filthy - the floors in the lobby and all around the pool sticky spilt drinks everywhere and glass, the tables and brolly's were sticky and dirty too so they were of no use. Years ago every night staff were cleaning the lobby floor with a machine and the pool areas washed down first thing but we saw no one cleaning. The sun beds have been swapped out for new ones but they have metal bars in the seat area so they are the most uncomfortable sunbeds that have ever existed! If you have a bad back or leg/nerve pain do not use them they are awful.

Stayed for a week, booked via easyJet holidays. The hotel is in a good location, the taxi fare is standard 100 lira to pick and drop in the main street of Bodrum. The location of this hotel, view from the room (paid extra to get sea view) and some hardworking friendly staff is where the good things about this hotel ends.
The food is pretty standard but cannot say anything that stands out from breakfast, lunch or dinner. There are some live counters for omelette, kebabs etc but normally there is a lot of waiting for this too.
The outdoor swimming pool was so cold and most guests were not willing to enter the pool, the indoor pool is overcrowded as it's a very small one.
The staff at the main restaurant, coffee shop, pool bar are so hardworking and always smiling which was refreshing to see everyday.

Didn't use the spa but the prices were fairly high for a normal massage.

Poor entertainment options so for kids there is not much to do apart from sitting and chatting with parents or going into town etc.

The internet is so bad, constantly drops all the time and watching or streaming is not an option unfortunately.

The hotel says there are 2 Alacarte restaurants but it's closed at the moment so the only option is to eat in the main restaurant all the time which can be a little boring at times due to repetitive food.
The room is not so good either, the toiletries given are so poor quality and hotel which says 5 star can leave some decent brand shampoo, conditioners and body lotion.

The Air conditioning doesn't maintain a good temperature for the room and often disturbs sleep at night.

Overall this hotel was disappointing as normally easyJet gives a pretty good deal when it comes to Hotels or resorts.

If you value good WiFi don’t expect it at the Salamkis, the internet only worked properly in the reception and in your room. Even though I was all inclusive, they had no efes, its Turkish beer, on draught, you had to pay extra for a bottle of efes. This is practically unheard of in Turkey.
Of course if you wanted decent service and more alcohol in your cocktails, at the bars, well you better tip good, or things get worse.

Me and my boyfriend (22 and 24) stopped at The Salmakis for a week at the start of the month, it was 4 star on jet2 but actually said it was 5 star when we got there.

We arrived at 1am and were greeted with a smile, offered hot food before bed, and then taken to our room by a lovely member of staff.

Goods:

The hotel was very clean and tidy.

There were complimentary cans of pop and bottles of water in the fridge everyday when housekeeping cleaned the room, they changed the covers and tidied up every morning after breakfast.

The all inclusive food was good (a solid 8 out of 10), it was all fresh everyday and there was always something that we liked, they also had a few themed nights where they served Turkish kebab on the spit and other dishes.

The drinks were pretty good for an all inclusive, the iced coffees were made from scratch and the spirits were of a decent quality… All bar staff were lovely!!

The pool area was very clean, there were plenty of sun beds so you didn’t really have to get up and rush to get one in the morning. They had a water polo match everyday which my boyfriend loved and other activities, we also went out on the town with the event reps one night which was decent too.

The beach area was lovely, there wasn’t too much space between sun beds but the sea was as clear as ever you could even see a few little fish at the bottom!!

Overall the staff were really kind and helpful throughout our stay and nothing was ever too much…. :)

Bads:

The food on the evenings did get a little bit repetitive, instead of themed nights every night there was a little bit of similarity but there was always something nice to have and always a good choice of hot and cold.

The hotel room was a little outdated in decor but still clean, the air con worked pretty good but not great and once on all night you did feel a bit of a cold in your nose in the morning.

Bodrum itself is quite expensive compared to other times I’ve been to Turkey, and as to be expected the shop owners can be pretty “on top” when you walk around the town. Bars are pretty great for a laugh a drink and a Shisha!!

Overall me and my boyfriend were very happy with our choice for holiday and we had the best time!!! If we go to bodrum again we will be sure to check back in to the Salmakis :)

Little shoutout to our favourite waiter Ibrahim we became really friendly with him from the first morning when he sat us down at a table in his area of the restaurant and instantly asked us how we were and what we wanted to drink, we ate in his area of the restaurant for the rest of the week and he couldn’t do enough for us our glasses were rarely empty and he made us smile everyday!!!

He was so shocked and happy when we left a nice tip for him at the end of the week for all his kindness as he clearly was a genuinely happy person and wasn’t in it for the money xxx

A highly recommended hotel! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The receptionists can help you with any request. We were spontaneously offered a room with a sea view instead of a garden view at no extra charge. The bartenders and waiters are very professional, friendly and attentive (especially the waiter Ibrahim). The room was always cleaned well. The food is always similar, but there are a few different dishes every day. There is mainly regional, i.e. Turkish food, but also international conventional cuisine (fish, meat, chips, etc.). We had all inclusive and could never complain of being hungry. From lunch to afternoon, the pool/beach snack restaurant is highly recommended. You just have to walk up a few steps from the hotel's own beach. There are many delicious snacks to choose from. From sandwiches to pide to pizza and burgers in different variations. Drinks orders are taken directly on the beach by a very friendly young man and brought to your lounger. The sea is not particularly spectacular but enough for swimming. There is an entertainment program every evening, even outside of peak season. Whether it's live bands, Turkish or Colombian dance groups or a DJ, there's entertainment every evening. The view of the lights of the city of Bodrum in the evening is nice to look at.
The hotel isn't a classic bunker of beds, it "climbs" up the mountain over many small levels. It feels like a small village. The only really negative, but bearable, criticism is that the hotel's WiFi is extremely slow and you can't do much more than write messages. However, this shouldn't put you off spending your vacation here.

I stayed at this property with my family at the end of an organized tour.
The hotel hall is really very beautiful, with large windows overlooking the bay in front of Bodrum Castle.
The rooms are spacious but the dark carpet does not give the feeling of being very clean and this is also evident from the general unpleasant smell.... The bathroom is equipped with every comfort including a well-stocked courtesy kit.
The staff is helpful, although they don't speak much English.
The beach is nice. You can find a place even if you don't get there too early, because many people remain on the sunbeds by the pool or in the garden. Furthermore, there are not many hotels with a sandy beach. Most offer only a "pier".
The taxi boat that takes you to the center for €2-3 is also convenient.
The real highlight of this hotel, however, is the restaurant. Excellent all inclusive, equipped with hot and cold dishes, cooked, grilled, fried.... All delicious!
Truly there was something for all tastes.
I recommend it because despite having frequented several 5 star hotels in Türkiye I have not found this standard in any of the other hotels.

Absolutely loved our week at Salmakis. The hotel is very clean and beautiful, the staff can't do enough for you, Ramazan in particular was such an attentive host at breakfast and dinners, he knew exactly what drinks we wanted and where we'd like to sit each day, he was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly situated, only 5mins in a taxi to Bodrum town which is full of shops and restaurants. Our rooms were cleaned daily, the food was good with a variety each evening. My boys absolutely loved the pool and beach, there was plenty of sunbeds available everyday. As we were early to the season there was no entertainment in the evenings, but it's such a beautiful place it's not hard to entertain yourself. I recommend having a family photoshoot with the onsite photographer, he is great!! Also a boat trip to the other islands, we got to swim into a cave (additional price of €2 each) Definitely highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Hi, I suspect you would get the definitive answer from the hotel itself, perhaps by emailing them. I can tell you that I was at the Salmakis at the end of the season (October) and in my opinion, the pool water was definitely NOT heated. The water was warmed only by the heat of the sun. However, there is a brilliant indoor pool which was beautifully warm, as was the jacuzzi. Enjoy!
