Just returned from a 2 week all inclusive holiday. Room 727 on same floor as reception.Great view from the balcony and very quiet.Fairly modern room with sufficient drawers, wardrobe and safe.We had fresh towels every day but had to ask for clean sheets. The duvet was too small for the bed so spent all night pulling it off each other.Bathroom could be modernised but a good shower.Room surfaces not dusted for the whole 2 weeks. The food was lovely and a good choice at the buffet. Some dishes repeated but always managed to have something different.Food could have been hotter at times.Breakfast great choice and real orange juice.A La carte meal of fish over cooked but did enjoy the different restaurant and being served.Rose wine not to our taste but red and white ok.Watch measures as you can get drunk easily. All staff were lovely and helpful.102 stairs to the restaurant but there are lifts to use but not really suitable for the infirm.Beach bar same food every day but there is also a menu to choose from. Also fruit and icecream in the afternoon and afternoon tea and biscuits. We went out to explore the area most days but usually managed to get a sunbed by the lovely pool or on the private beach. The sea was cool but we loved it and it was sandy. Entertainment not great. The shows were only on for half an hour and were not very professional but something to watch. The nightly pool entertainment was mostly Turkish music with a singer one night and a band another night and a disco. The hotel next door Voyage had much better entertainment but you are not allowed to watch it even from the path which passes it. The location is fab.The hotel faces Bodrum and you can get a ferry for 10 Lisa each way which takes 10 minutes and runs till midnight. We loved this as Bodrum is great during the day and at night.Very busy with boat trips shops bars restaurants etc.You can also catch buses to other places to visit from the bus station in Bodrum and fares are cheap and buses frequent .You can walk to Bodrum in 15 minutes or catch a bus.You can also walk into Gumbet or go by bus. The hotel was busy the first week but the second week seemed even busier with lots of children under 5 years who were allowed to run about the restaurant both inside and outside eating areas and this should be monitored. The staff who are amazing finding you a free table etc struggled slightly the second week even though there are a lot of staff. Overall we had a great holiday in this well designed hotel and we would recommend it.

We stayed for 12 nights. Our room was on the same floor as reception 117 steps to the pool/restaurant 22 more steps to the beach, not a problem as there is a walk in between every couple of flights of stairs. All staff were helpful at all times, we did tip some staff but not till the last day of our stay. Our room was cleaned and towels changed ever day, pool and beach always clean. We had lunch each day in the beach bar we were impressed with menu and staff, the evening meal was always enjoyable with plenty of choice, ample choice of salad and fresh fruit. Drinks were mostly good once or twice they were just to strong, red and white wine was good. We had a great stay and would be happy to recommend to anyone as long as they didn’t have mobility issues. If I searched for a complaint it would be that the beds have quilts not sheets. Well done to all staff

Whilst this hotel is undergoing some out of season upgrades, the updated reception, dining and hotel rooms are pleasant and clean. This however could not be said for the outside corridors, dated rooms, pool area and sun lounge beds that could all do with a good clean, jet wash and some maintenance. Staff overall very polite informative and friendly.

Just returned from a 2 week holiday here and it was the first time in Bodrum for us. Salmakis resort has a perfect location with Bodrum one side and Gümbet the other. We paid for a sea view room and was on floor 1 which was perfect with a beautiful view (see pic) other people staying there commented on distance from their room to pool and restaurant as they had lots of steps and quite a walk to get to pool and restaurant. Would not recommend this hotel if you have walking problems. Check in was quick and efficient, staff-in reception friendly. Room was very basic, we had to request our mattress was changed as it had collapsed and springs were digging in our backs, our Jet2 rep arranged this as reception did not understand. Room cleaning was non existent although our towels were changed most days. There were tables outside the rooms which were there for you to put dirty glasses etc, we didn’t put anything there but others did and the tables were not cleared for around 5 days which was disgusting. Overall the hotel was very clean but the maid service let it down. Food was lovely and well presented and there was a great choice. Drinks were good and staff made sure you always had a drink. Pool was lovely and clean and plenty of sun beds were available. Private beach was great . Entertainment team were there but did not do a great deal compared to other places we had stayed at. Music was awful, very loud and music poor, mainly drum and bass which was unsuitable for a resort with the average age of 50. Better variation required. Bands that were playing in the evenings were ok nothing brilliant. Taxi boat to Bodrum was great, 10tl per person and takes 10 mins, and Bodrum is lovely. Taxi to Gümbet is 15tl, Gümbet is busy and not as nice as Bodrum but shopping is much cheaper (bags, sports wear and usual holiday bits) All in all we would go back to Salmakis as the things that were wrong with the hotel were small things and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the location and view was amazing.

Just back from here and was impressed with the hotel, very friendly & helpful staff in all departments who work hard to make sure your needs are catered for. Good choices of foods at every meal enough to keep everyone happy. My only moan was there was no sorbet because I'm dairy free and I fancied one but lovely food none the less. The place was spotless with staff constantly sweeping and mopping up. Our room maid did a great job and that was very clean as well. A special mention to Ersin in the dining room and also the pool bar staff as well Well done Salmakis
