We stayed here in 2010 at the end of the 3-week trip to Turkey; this time we came for an 8-day stay just at the Viewpoint (strangely, we got the same room we had 6 years before). This family-run hotel is just great: it is spotless, the food from the kitchen (breakfast and lunch) is top notch (there are special... More

My wife booked the Viewpoint Hotel at Patara as a surprise for my 60th birthday. The location was exquisite, the hosts and owners Muzaffer and Anne-Louise were so welcoming and helpful with all our travel questions - which explains why most of the guests have been returning for years on end, while the breakfasts were delicious and all local and... This was our 4th time at Patara Viewpoint over the last 8 years it provides an authentic and unique experience that makes for a really relaxing stay. It's quiet and unspoiled / off-the-beaten track, with good, simple places to eat in the village. The archaeological sites in the area are amazing. The hotel offers many local trips (days, evenings, boats)... More

Patara Viewpoint provides a fantastic and unique experience. The village is small and a little downbeat. But that makes for a really relaxing stay. It's quiet and friendly, with really good places to eat. The archaeological site on the way to the beach is amazing. The hotel itself benefits from Muzaffer's passion for history, eloquently and entertainingly expressed if you... More

This was our second visit to the Patara Viewpont. Many of the fellow guests were also returners , some more than 10 times. Anna Louise and Mustafa run this small hotel as if.it was a country house where a group of friends were meeting together. Their care for each guest is what sets it apart from other places. Along with... More

Loved our stay here. It was so relaxing, just what the doctor ordered. Not many other guests during our weeks stay but all were friendly and interesting. The pool is great with comfy beds and good shades. Breakfast is very Turkish with boiled eggs, fruit, cheese, bread and yoghurt. The poolside team are great and very attentive, lovey food on... From start to end, our fortnight here was peaceful and calm. It's great to return and know we can just relax, or explore, or take a trip .... with guaranteed great weather. The owners and staff are old friends and excellent hosts; we just roll with the rhythm of Patara - which is a million miles away from work and... More

From the moment the hotel arranged transfer collects us at Dalaman airport we are totally relaxed and so happy to be returning to the Patara Viewpoint. Friends ask why we go back year after year so we show them photos of the garden, pool, the beach and the archeological site and explain how the entire experience is so unique. If... More

If you need flunkies, deep carpets and distances from door to bed more suited to a bike ride than walking then don't come here. Likewise if you want football bars and all-day English breakfasts you won't like Patara. Everyone else will love it here. The Patara Viewpoint sits just above the small town of Gelemiç looking down the valley that... More

I love this hotel! It's so charming and full of character - simple but comfortable rooms, stunning pool and beautiful views. It's not so close to the beach but the hotel offers a daily shuttle service each day (and by shuttle I mean tractor!) Would highly recommend walking back to the hotel from the beach via the Etruscan ruins -... More
