Despite the smell of the room when you first enter and no view from our room window. I personally love the hotel, it has its charm, the staff are polite and helpful. The hotel is located inside the Ankara Castle area. There are some shops selling Turkish giveaways and my friend was fascinating to find a crystal shop. We are still on our jet lag so we already got up at 6 in the morning and ready at downstairs at 8 before we checked-out for a full day tour. We said to the receptionist, we didn't mind waiting at their cozy library. The receptionist said that he already called the kitchen staff to come earlier. The kitchen lady cooked a nice breakfast and we are glad to have hot breakfast in the winter time. Love the orange juice and the Turkish tea. Those who wants to have the Byzantium feeling, this is the right place to stay.

This small family run hotel was everything we hoped it would be. Situated in a quiet street in the old city adjacent to the citadel of castle ruins it had a totally romantic authentic feel. Not plush but clean and comfortable and very beautiful with Anatolian wooden furnishings. The host Revaha and his staff couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast is in a local style and cooked fresh each morning. We’d have no hesitation about in recommending it. Down town is a 10-15 minute taxi ride away costing between 10-20L depending on location of start point.

I was pleasantly surprised by the sweet couple who run this bread-and-breakfast in Ankara. They welcomed us like we were relatives and were quick to help me out when I was struggling a little in figuring out how to get around. Breakfast was awesome and we loved our rustic little room. I would come back here in a heartbeat and maybe learn how to speak in Turkish from this gentle, hardworking couple. The home was close to the museum and the castle. It was hard to get here on foot as the bus station is quite far, but there is a nearby taxi area.

This hotel is a great place to be. The hospitallity and friendly staff are making you feel very welcome. Beside that it is in the best part of Ankara. On the hill overlooking the city. In the old part of Ankara, with great little restaurants and shops.
