Hotel H2O is the first and only marine-themed urban resort hotel in the Philippines. Opened on April 10, 2010, the hotel is part of the Manila Ocean Park complex in the Philippine capital’s historic Rizal Park. It has been designated as the official residence for guests and patrons of Manila Ocean Park.Every part of Hotel H2O has a connection to its namesake element, water – from its next-door proximity to Manila Ocean Park; to its location on the edge of Manila Bay; to its signature aquarium wall that adorns the inner guest rooms and grand ballroom; to the seafood specialties of its main F&B outlet, Makan Makan Asian Food Village; to the healing, negative-ion treatments of its wellness center, Zenyu Eco Spa. All these make Hotel H2O perhaps the most visually distinctive urban property in the country today.

This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

Hotel H2O's unique aqua-themed rooms and oceanic views are often lauded for creating a tranquil atmosphere, complemented by the warmth of the staff. However, guests have called out occasional musty odors. The hotel's cleanliness generally receives high marks, although there's a consensus that some areas could be enhanced. While the value is appreciated for its budget-friendly nature and inclusive deals, travelers have noted some service inconsistencies. The rooms' distinctiveness is acknowledged, despite some reported issues. The amenities, especially the in-room aquariums, are a highlight, ensuring a memorable stay.

Booked this hotel for a 3D2N stay as it was close to Manila Ocean Park. Echoing the same sentiments as other reviews I've read of the place. Room and amenities are ok, but quite expensive for the quality we received. ROOM Best feature is the wall-size aquarium. Looks as advertised. Air-conditioning is good. Main issues are: 1. Bed is too soft for our liking. No support whatsoever. A little more give and it's almost akin to a water-bed. Was quite hard getting out of bed due to it being really bouncy. Sheets are clean though. 2. Lack of properly working electrical outlets. Only four outlets were found at the time we were in the room. One in the bathroom, one on top of the mini fridge (which wasn't working because it's too loose), one under the main table (the only properly working outlet in the room), and one where the room telephone is plugged into (works but depends on what you're plugging in). I suggest bringing your own extension cords and adapters for your own ease. BATHROOM Complimentary toiletries and other hygiene necessities are available. Towels and bath mat are clean and fragrant. Shower area could use more shelves for toiletries to put on as the one installed (see picture) is too small especially if you're travelling with more than one companion. Water pressure and temps are good and working. Just found it weird that the glass door to the bathroom itself and the glass door for the shower area are one and the same. ENTERTAINMENT Standard LED Samsung TV with Sky Cable as its main provider. No Netflix as it isn't a Smart TV. Could use some improvement as majority of people nowadays have shifted from cable TV to streaming services. OTHERS In-room phone is working as it should. Mini fridge is working though no bar items are present. Overall, good hotel if you're really planning on spending a day or two at Manila Ocean Park but the place is kind of dated so manage your expectations.

The aqua room with the aquarium on the wall is an original idea, and very cool! But that is about it. All the rest is mediocre at best. Suitable for a budget hotel, but not for the price you pay here. Not even close. Starting with the entrance to the hotel which is really shady. If you come in the evening, you enter a deserted dark pathway, which makes you feel you are in the wrong place. Have to walk quite a way, to find the front desk. No feeling of a nice lobby of a higher end hotel. The whole place, halls and rooms have old shabby rugs with a musty smell. Doesn't seem like management does any maintenance or up keeping to this hotel. Closet door broken, and couldn't turn off the light in the closet, which had only one door of two. Only one outlet in the whole room! No outlets near the bed, where you want to leave your phone at night to charge. When I booked this hotel, it said it had a hot tub. No hot tub was to be found. The pool is an absolute joke. It is really not in the hotel area (more at the entrance to the Ocean Park), and consists of two uninviting water tanks of cold water, surrounded by construction. Looking the way it does, I didn't even want to imagine how clean the water is, and whether it is safe to swim in.. Anyone reviewing the breakfast as "Good", hasn't been to other hotels in the Philippines. This breakfast had by far the smallest selection of food I came across, in 5 hotels I stayed at in the last two weeks here. And even the aquarium in the room - the hotel's best feature - could have the inner part of the glass cleaned once in a while. Staff was nice and attentive. Bottom line - everything about this hotel gives the feeling of a low end hotel, that is not well maintained. And for the price you pay, you can find a much better and well maintained hotel, in a better area.

The first time I was here was when it opened years back, so when I returned last December I was dismayed to see the hotel looking like how it is present day. I guess the hotel management didn't bother to spend on the upkeep of the exterior, or at least the management of Ocean Park, since these have the same entry way. We availed of their holiday promo which came with two free admission tickets for the Ocean Park features, as well as some "spa" treatments (well, at least it was free) when you book one night. The hotel rooms are spacious enough, although the bath and toilet areas were were quite interesting. At least there were blinds for the frosted glass for those feeling they need more privacy when doing their business. Love the scent of their hotel soaps. Breakfast was nothing special but at least it was filling. I just hope that the hotel management will work with that of Ocean Park to renovate the place since it looks old and in need of a makeover.

Will not recommend this hotel. Pool and changing area are worst than a public resort. Pool smells like pee and very dirty. Bathroom is very far from pool. Shower area is open and other people watching the bird show can see you shower. Long line in the bathroom. Other toilet bowls have no flush! My son got sick after staying here. We left and decided not to spend the night. Sayang pera, ang mahal pa naman. Grabe worst experience. Think carefully before booking this hotel 🥵😡👿

We booked a Bay Deluxe room and my sister enjoyed the Jacuzzi. The room is clean and cozy;all the amenities are provided as said on the booking letter that the hotel sent me. The free WiFi access is fast. I was able to do my research here while relaxing. I really love the view of the sunset and it is very calming. It is also my sister's birthday and upon entering the room there is a simple banner for her and in the evening they gave us bite size delicious brownies. We booked directly to hotel H20 that's why we were able to avail the offered inclusions: Manila Ocean park ticket, buffet breakfast and the Zenyu Eco Spa. The room is worth staying for and we will definitely book again soon!

The aquarium in the room wall is great, but that’s where the good times ends. They seem to have left everything else to chance. WiFi didn’t work in the room and shower had no pressure so was like a light rainfall. Not a problem in a lower budget hotel but no excuse in a place of this supposed standard. Worst of all, they are building new rooms along the corridors leading to the current rooms, which are kicking out the most horrific chemical smells - literally lung burning.

When we arrived at the Hotel H2O drop-off area, all the staff was so kind and approachable. They greet us with a warm smile and help us with our luggages. They also guide us to the Reception Area that is located on the 3rd floor and all the staff in the Reception are very accommodating; they provide all the information that we need about the hotel. We highly recommend staying here at Hotel H2O.

Front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. The concierge staff even helped us with our big luggage, from drop off to delivering it to our room. They're so friendly and they make us/customers feel welcome. They always asked how our stay was going every time we walked through the door. They were also able to recommend places to get any type of meal that we needed. I am also in this industry, so I'm so grateful that I experienced what good service hospitality can offer. Thank you so much
