Stayed for one night as going to island resort next day. Very small rooms but I suppose that’s all you need as Male isn’t a place you would stay longer. It’s one of the better ones available as well. Breakfast was nice and the staff were very friendly. Special Thankyou to the gentleman who was at breakfast on the Monday as I asked for gluten free bread and he tried his utmost to find me some but there wasn’t any available. So in short if you need to stay overnight in Male this is your best option. They also pick you up from the airport free of charge which our travel agent failed to tell us so we paid.

The hotel is a little bit expensive but once you get past that it is wonderful. The reception staff are a delight to deal with - nothing is too much trouble. Just wonderful. Housekeeping are excellent - we had the same lads all week clean out room, friendly, honest, efficient - made for a most enjoyable staff

We visited the Azur restaurant on January 29, 2024, for dinner, and it was an amazing experience. The ambiance of the restaurant outside was nice, yet we chose to stay inside as we wanted to celebrate one of our friend's birthday. We made a reservation, so they reserved a place with table decorations. The food was yummy, and restaurant manager Chamara was very helpful and keen on details. Though the restaurant was quite busy, he managed to serve everyone well. After the dinner, they bought the cake, and it was yummy and nicely done. It was a great dining experience.

The hotel provided very clean rooms.. and good service from house keeping staff.. The food was extremely pricey for the quantity served in room service…makes no sense to charge high and serve such small quantities… Other wise it was good…

We stayed at the Jen for one night before joining a dive cruise and it was the perfect choice. We were met at the airport by the hotel representative and taken to the complimentary shuttle that took us to the hotel. When we got to the hotel, our room was ready (despite arriving mid morning) and it was lovely to have a shower and a snooze after a long flight. We spent the afternoon relaxing in the sunshine by the rooftop pool and then returned to the rooftop in the evening for a delicious meal at the restaurant. Breakfast the next morning had a good choice and was good quality. Our room, although not huge, had everything we required and I especially liked the rain shower and the comfy bed. We would most stay there again when we return to the Maldives.

Hotel was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was especially impressive. Special shout out to our cook Manikandan. The hotel has nice connecting rooms where there is an outside door, then a little hallway that connects the two rooms. Good for families. I recommend to stay here if you have to take the late flight from Singapore to Male. Taking the late boat or plane transit to island resort can be very scary.

As with previous experiences, the “hotel” experience in a Shangri-La hotel never disappoints! The rooms are immaculate with extremely comfortable beds, layout and of course, the gorgeous views. The staff are incredibly helpful (a special thanks to Nuha in the reception, and the Nepalese lifeguard [just can’t seem to recall the name!])! The restaurant Azur, while still great, pales a little by comparison to the rest of the stay. The food was alright, albeit quite expensive (be prepared to pay an additional 20-something percent for service charges and tax on top of your actual bill). The staff are very nice, but unaware of how the Shangri-La rewards system works, costing me a bunch of money in the process. Other than this, it really was a lovely stay and would recommend to anyone staying in Male.

I stayed at this hotel for only 1 day for business reasons. I wanted to order from the restaurant to my room in the evening. There was no QR code or menu in the room. I called the restaurant from the phone, but the button was not working. So I called the reception. The official said there was a QR code in the room, but there was not. He said he would send a menu to the room. Of course he didn't send it, I called the reception again after 1 hour and wanted to connect to the restaurant. He said okay but no one answered. He said he couldn't reach the restaurant right now but I would call back. no one called. and I couldn't eat anything at the hotel. This is truly incredibly funny. I have stayed in many shangri-la hotels but this was the worst experience.

The breakfast was excellent, and the event space was perfect for our needs. The event staff were very attentive. The airport pick-up was fabulous. However, as a Golden Circle member, there were no perks—no snacks, welcome notes, or recognition, making it feel like a basic hotel. Despite this, the rooms were comfortable. Wifi was solid, and the water pressure was good. The location is nice with a rooftop restaurant offering the best milkshakes in town. There is a delicious Thai restaurant across the street and a block away from a shisha and karaoke venue. The location of the hotel is near a lot of the local attractions and shops.

Jen is near the airport, and the hotel provides free shuttle to and from the airport. The room is very nice and comfortable, but quite pricey. I only stayed one night before travelling to another resort, but managed to take a look at the gym and pool - both are quite small. The pool is on the roof top.
