The YMCA of Kuala Lumpur began providing lodging to its guests since the 20th of August 1931 after it was inaugurated officially by His Excellency, Sir Cecil Clementi G.C.M.G. The YMCA KL Hostel became a More transitional hub for travelling British Officers newly assigned throughout the Federated States of Malaya, becoming a safe location to rest and stay active for young men. During the Japanese Occupation of Malaya in 1942, due to the interest and good offices of a Japanese Christian, Mr Ogawa; YMCA KL was allowed to retain its building so the Hostel could carry on. However, a new building was made in the 1960s. These days, the YMCA of Kuala Lumpur Hostel provides a humble stay for the traveling groups or individuals, be it families and friends on a road-trip or just the lone backpacker to the nomadic businessman. In line with our motto “YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME” is our sincere aspiration to provide a consistent homely welcome for all our Guests who walk into our home, the YMCA KL. Less

Great location. Near from and to KL Sentral train station. Just walk few minutes thru mall where connected to station. And easy to find restaurant for breakfast and great also for dinner. Besides bulding , you can find 7-11.
