Thumbs up for this place as a budget hotel. Been staying in a family room for 4D3N. Spacious room with city view, receptionists are nice (just do not expect they will smile at you when they talk), room cleaning service was done daily and foods can be found everywhere. The only downside is there is no mineral water provided in the room and we have to take the water by ourselves. Overall its good! Definitely will recommend to others!
Thank Thien D

I didn’t stay at the hotel but did dine at the restaurant which is attached to it. I assume there’s been a change of management as the service I received there was awesome and the main reason that I will return! Was made to feel very welcome which is not common as a solo diner.
Ordered the gado gado which was huge and delicious and only 10 ringgit. The beer is well priced too at under 15 ringgit per mug.
A great place to sit and sip on a beer while watching the world go by.
Thanks and see you again soon!

A wonderful hotel located ideally in the heart of KL. Very competitive prices. Their half board offer is wonderful. Walking distance from Sungai Wang Plaza, Low Yat Plaza, Birjaya Times Square and Pavillion Mall. Also very close to Petronas Twin Towers as well as Surya Mall

The Bintang warisan hotel is a great place to stay, kong at the front desk was lovely and couldn’t do enough. However, they allow smoking in rooms which leaves a lingering smell throughout the corridor and in the rooms. The staff at the hotel were friendly and nice, but the hotel staff were horrible. The hotel needs to get rid of their restaurant staff; as foreigners, we were blatantly ignored when we entered the restaurant, as opposed to local families that were greeted straight away and were treated nicely. They basically threw the menus at us and seemed angry at everything we ordered, the staff got angry when we asked for an extra plate as we were sharing a meal between two, and they were just plainly rude. As the restaurant is leased by the hotel, it gives the hotel a bad reputation, the management should fire the staff and get in new workers as they were just simply rude. The hotel is in a great location, with shopping centers, markets, and restaurants close by, and the hotel and staff are lovely; but management, get rid of the restaurant staff, they are rude people and aren’t doing the hotel any good.

First of all let me be clear. The Bintang Warisan Hotel KL is great. The location is unbelievable central to every major shopping centre and transport trains etc. The city comes to life after 3pm and buzzes with activity and the massages are a must. The food markets behind the hotel are to die for. Try the Fat Brother Satay Lok-lok it is amazing. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient. Kong at the front desk can’t do enough to accommodate requests and moved us to a room closer to our kids straight away without question. Rooms are comfortable bathrooms clean. Cleaners efficiently make up rooms first thing every morning although my folks were told that they do not replace the tea cups we need to wash up our own when used 🙄 but that’s not such a big deal I guess. They allow smoking in the rooms so some of them stink of cigarettes a smell that cannot be masked with any spray. My advice to Bintang would be to join the other 21st century hotels and ban smoking in rooms.
Now let’s talk about the restaurant attached to the hotel that bears the same name. OMG the staff are rude and unhelpful. They do not bring you what you ask for straight away and then give attitude when you ask a second time after waiting for 15 mins or so just for a drink. They seem to serve the locals as priority over foreigners and are especially very disrespectful to the children mind you my kids are 20, 18 and 15 so not loud or boisterous. The menu is below average starting with brekky which is quite tasteless other than the French toast which can be improved with sugar. The eggs are like powdered ones you have when camping and the Malaysian food is also lacking in taste compared to food courts etc around. The complimentary orange juice is powdered and my kids were given juice in a mug only to be told when the asked for the complimentary tea after brekky that they will only get juice in a small cup in future if they want tea also - seriously these people need to do a hospitality course or three to learn basic customer service skills - I blame their parents for the downright rude behavior though!! The pictures on the menu do not represent the meals ordered for example the burgers pictured with fries do not include fries 😖. The straw that broke the camels back was when the kids ordered spring rolls each with a fried rice that they were going to share and when it arrived we asked for an additional plate only to be given a saucer from underneath a tea cup. When I said sorry could we please have a proper plate the lady (which she really was not) replied no I am not allowed to give you an extra plate or I will get into trouble 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. I nearly threw the food at her in disgust.
I would like the owners of Bintang Warisan Hotel to take note and hear my pleas to GET RID OF/EVICT THESE LOUSY RESTAURANT PEOPLE AND RECLAIM YOUR SPACE SO THAT YOU CAN LEASE IT TO REAL RESTAURANT PEOPLE WHO WONT GIVE YOUR HOTEL A BAD NAME!!!
We will stay at Warisan again for sure but won’t eat or drink at the restaurant if it’s the same. Tourism in Malaysia will suffer with below average standards like these.
Thank Amarnamatt
