    Worth a visit
My family and I stayed in a beautiful Pent house apartment in the Ritz for two nights in Kuala Lumpur. The room was very nice but sadly the fridge didn’t work which was the only downside of the room. We had a personal butler who came in and dropped off cookies and was attentive to any of our requests. The staff were very friendly and attentive at the pool and would give us a fruit platter and lemon water at our table. There was two pools which was were stunning but unfortunately don’t receive any sun due to all the high rise buildings next to it. The gym was adequate and after we would use their spa and sauna facility which were very luxurious with towels, robes, a powder room and lemon water provided in the change rooms. Buffet very good but quite pricey. Good location, close to the city centre and malls. Recommend staying here if you want to check out KL.

    Comfortable Stay
We were staying at the Ritz Carlton for a long weekend during RMCO. The hotel is located at a good spot that is easily accessible to many malls in the area, and a little walk further to the MRT station that would connect you to anywhere in the city. Restaurants were not open, and we had our breakfast at the "Library" ala carte. A little disappointed with the very limited menu on the first day, but managed to speak to their manager to have customised breakfast on our second morning. We were given a corner room that is a little odd shaped, but was very comfortable. We love the big bathroom that comes with a standing shower room and a bathtub. Generally happy with the stay here. Service was good, despite it being RMCO, so nothing much to be said as there is not much to do within the hotel.

Marred by a mix up at the Spa Village
A lovely, classy hotel. We stayed in a huge two bedroom suite which had four toilets and multiple showers. Very convenient to shopping centres and dining. Staff were attentive and prompt. I loved the live music each afternoon which accompanied customers having high tea. The pool water was very cold, so couldn’t swim much. We did see children in the ‘over 16’ pool. My visit was spoiled by a blunder at the Spa. I had booked massages for each of myself and husband over two days. But for some reason, the bookings were not entered into the system. So, when I turned up for my massage, they couldn’t find my booking. The staff even admitted her fault and apologised multiple times. I was very disappointed. My intended time was 4pm, and they offered to give me a treatment at 4:30pm so I waited around. But I ended up waiting past 4:30pm and eventually told them I wasn’t going to do the massage. I was so put off sitting around so long in the waiting area. They told me they would give a discount to my husband’s massage but they only applied 10% discount - hardly a consolation to be honest. This really put a damper on my experience.

We stayed in the Ritz Carlton and booked 3 rooms (1704/1705/1707) and they were just perfect. The rooms were comfortable with a huge bathroom. Had all the luxuries. They even cleaned our rooms twice a day and left cake in the rooms every night for us. From the reception staff to concierge (thank you Vinothe) and to the restaurant staff (thank you Arshad Ibrahim) they all could not be faulted. Made for a most pleasant experience and holiday. Will definitely be coming back again.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom suites with one of the guest in wheelchair, asked for a walking frame a month in advance and hotel replied cannot be arranged. They could only arrange some anti slip mat in the bathroom which did not happen. The room is very spacious but the interior and furnitures are so worn out. Kitchen in 3 bedrooms only has few dishes and no cooking pots and other accessories, toaster was dirty and the switch of the stove and ventilation were sticky. There were 3 bathrooms but only ONE hair dryer!! Called to ask for 2 more but they said need to wait until tmr 9am when house keeping opens. There were NO box tissues in the bathrooms, don’t mention living room and dining room. Laundry was late which I think is not acceptable in a 5 stars hotel. Staffs were cooperative with our requests but I didn’t think those issues should be being requested in the first place

We booked a club room for 2 nights for a birthday celebration. From the moment you step in to the dedicated check in lobby you can sense that this is a special hotel. The room is extra large and well appointed , with a beautiful marble bathroom and dressing room. Turn down every night included a special treat. The room was decorated for my birthday. The club room although a bit tired and dark (there are better locations within the hotel for a club room) was amazing, it was all the little touches that made it stand out. Breakfast (offered at both the main buffet or in the club room) was extensive, followed by a light lunch (soup, sandwich and salad), afternoon tea consisted of a tower of scones, pies and sandwiches. Dinner and drinks are served at 5.30pm was a full buffet of meats, curries, veggies. You could then stay for coffee and cake. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff very quickly learnt your likes and dislikes. They went above and beyond. The pool whilst lovely is small and not the best views (being surrounded by buildings) but that is also the bonus of the hotel - it is a 2 minute walk to Pavilion and 10 minutes to Berjaya or KLCC. We look forward to visiting again.

Traveled alone for 4 nights in September, king bed with club access. I picked the Ritz because it was a good deal for a luxury hotel here (under USD$200/night). The hotel was older compared to others, but I found it to be classy and well appointed. The slight premium for lounge access was well worth it. I ate breakfast and dinner here everyday, spending about 8 hrs during the day on tour and exploring the city, but coming back to chill and relax. They had a good spread and choice of foods for a lounge, and service was attentive. Also, since I had booked club access, I received 20% discount off spa service. I was able to get 3 hours of treatment for USD$150. Score. I will say that housekeeping was a little spotty in terms of showing up, once missing morning service and once missing turndown. Overall I am pleased with my choice.

This is my second stay after a very long break, the location is so much more convenient now with a bridge connection to the Starhill mall that now houses my favorite Eslite bookstore. Besides the great location, service at Ritz is wonderful as always, from the reception to dining to the doorman. The staff manning the juice counter during breakfast buffet was especially friendly, after we went there a few times for the refreshing juices, he made my husband a special blend that is so tasty! Thanks Mr Tarikul! Also it happens to be my husband’s birthday during our stay, and the hotel was so kind in surprising us with cute decoration in the room! Many thanks for a memorable stay, we will stay here again when in KL!

What can I say about Ritz? It’s name itself evokes Grandeur , class, hospitality of the highest quality. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were personally attended to by manager Peter and I thank him and his team for their wonderful hospitality. Keep up the good work team. Read many reviews about the long wait time for check-in though personally didn’t witness such long queues. My advice is come earlier , and do a pre check in and leave your stuff and go out for some food and drinks. And then check in. Once Again thank you Ritz!

First the pros. This is a classic luxury hotel and the furnishing reflects so. The location so great and within walking distance to Pavilion. Gym is excellent. But that’s about it. The hotel is clearly showing it’s age - rooms feel dated and dark. The latter due to low natural light as there are buildings developed around the Ritz. There was barely any view from my room. Lights and curtains were manual (compared to the more modern St Regis or W). Service was on and off, and breakfast spread was nothing special. I usually request a takeout box as I have to rush for work but this was not available at Ritz. Pool was very small and uninspiring. I’m not sure I’ll be willing to stay here again. I honestly think there are better hotels at this price point.
