The level of personal care and professionalism at the MOKL is truly exceptional. People and service make great hotels and not star. In this case the MOKL is one of the few hotels that deserves its 5 stars.

Been staying at the MO annually for the past 10 years. Would strongly recommend upgrading to the Club floor. Excellent service at the Club Lounge, from reception to the good food and drinks. The staff was very attentive and helpful, especially Nora, who made our visit extremely pleasant. That said, though my room was on the top floor, with a city view, it was rather noisy at night, with the traffic sounds filtering in. The twin bed mattresses were also not very comfortable, with the baseboard a little uneven. We opted for breakfast at Mosaic. Great service once again, from the service staff and the captains. However, the food quality was a tad disappointing compared to my previous visits. For example, at the egg station, the omelettes were not well prepared (ingredients such as capsicum and mushroom were undercooked). Sunny side eggs came with the yoke already burst and overcooked. Still, I had a really enjoyable stay. What sets MO apart from other 5* hotels is the staff and level of service. Top-notch.…
Following three years of hiatus due to COVID, stayed at the MO-KLCC again in November- December. Glad to see the venerable place is almost back to its further glory. Was very comforted to be welcomed by name by doorman friends, and equally by a few old friends on the club floor. Substantially new staff and management at the Club floor were equally friendly and solicitious. Kevin and team did a fantastic job of anticipating and meeting every need. Room was comfortable and superbly serviced by housekeeping and laundry. Overall, felt great to return, had a successful business visit.
Our hotel stay at MO Kuala Lumpur was a very pleasant one. From the time we got picked up at the airport, to the check-in services as well as our daily breakfast - everyone at the hotel made us feel very welcomed. Special mention to Subra and Shaiful from the Concierge team who took care of our everyday needs as well as the porter and doormen services. I originally opted to book another well-known hotel in KL using hotel vouchers for a memorable birthday staycation for my daughter BUT this fell through simply because I was told it was not ‘hotel policy to give complimentary late check-outs.’ That blew me off and I immediately cancelled my booking and called the Mandarin Oriental KL reservations. The reservations agent who attended to me was very professional, very generous with advice on which promotional rates on offer and I asked about the available Fans of M.O. complimentary treats on offer on my preferred date. I was warned that Late Checkout at 4PM could not be guaranteed at the day of my departure and that’s alright. I appreciated the courtesy extended to me and the manner this information was shared rather than a blanket statement of what is or what isn’t ‘hotel policy.’ I booked online using my Fans of M.O. account and made the necessary requests with the caveat that I won’t get the late checkout at 4 PM. I requested for the stay credits and the celebration cake in my booking. Closer to the date of our stay, Guest Relations attended to all my queries perfectly well. Starting with Nur Syakirin Abdul Rahman reassuring me that she will accommodate my late checkout request. A couple of days before the visit, Benjamin and Fida confirmed the late checkout and cake. I am very thankful for not having to fuss over my daughter’s birthday because MO Guest Relations understand how important the occasion was and helped make it perfect even before our visit. On the day itself, the hotel was very busy and to my dismay, the hotel car park was fully booked. I learned at the end of my stay the parking would have been complimentary BUT since there were so many events in the hotel, it was not possible to park my car. The car jockeys on duty, however, took care of the car for RM40 valet charge, and this was a great start to our ‘pampering and luxurious’ stay. As everything was prepared in advance, check-in was smooth. Our overnight bags were brought to the room with not much hassle — knowing the lifts were so busy during our arrival! We got our twin rooms on the 22nd floor facing OneKL. Perfect room with newly-appointed MO decor compared to our previous visits pre-pandemic. Moreover, my daughter and I were very delighted to see that MO had the celebration cake and two glasses of orange juice welcoming us! Two Tapping Tapir beverages also were complimentary for our stay. It was very wise that we ordered room service to have enough time to prepare for the ARRIVAL concert at the Convex. The Room In-Dining operator provided her recommendations and timeframe to getting our orders. Impeccable arrangement that really saved us a lot of time queueing, fighting for a table, and waiting for food in any possible restaurant nearby on a very busy Friday evening in KL. The dinner trolley arrived, the hotel staff prepared our meals beautifully and we had time to enjoy our simple fare of pizza and a grilled zucchini wrap — which were what we exactly needed for a pre-show meal. The location was so convenient to catch at Convex too especially since it was raining so hard on Friday night. After an evening of ABBA music, our sleep was perfect. Breakfast at 9.45 AM still had a bit of a queue but there was ample time and an array of delicious culinary dishes to enjoy in an hour. By 10.30 AM, a restaurant staff was already advising that the buffet was closing in 15 minutes. All was OK. Service staff were exceptionally attentive, courteous, and managed a very busy Mosaic restaurant adroitly. Afterwards, our chillax day continued at the poolside. The pool attendant, Tajul from Kelantan, led us to one of the comfortable cabanes just in front of the tennis court. My daughter and I enjoyed the pool and when we got peckish, we ordered fries and refreshing drinks. Tajul, upon hearing it’s my daughter’s birthday, brought out complimentary crisps and nuts to help with the ‘celebration.’ Very thoughtful of him and he did deserve his tip! We spent the rest of our stay in the room. HBO was showing Harry Potter films so it was a perfect addition to my daughter’s birthday surprises. She enjoyed the bath - although it was strange that there were no bath foam gel - good thing had some bubbly shower gel and that did the trick! Having prepared for the rest of our day schedule and fully enjoyed our restful start to the day, we started gathering our affairs at around 3 PM. Checkout took longer since a new group of guests were checking in. One of the bell boys approached me to make sure my car was ready by the time I was done with the checkout process. We were done around 3.30 PM and I made sure the reception staff knew how pleased we were with our brief stay. We do hope we can do more celebrations as such in the future. The customer centricity experience beyond expectation. Kudos for the well trained staff . Warm welcome with big smile from all the staff, even from the security personnel. My coming visit to Kuala Lumpur, Mandarin Oriental will always be my choice.
Was ok, checking out was bit horrible Unfriendly staff aren’t welcome in the morning It’s totally spoiled your beautiful guest mood, Don’t have to speak loudly to your guest especially on the room rate! That’s why we called it privacy! Be nice and be humble to all people!
Outstanding hotel! Located in the most visited area, with accessibility to malls and transportation. The staff are accommodating and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean, and all amenities are available. The only negativity I have experienced is the shortage of receptionists at the front desk; check-in and check-out were slow due to a lack of staff. If this is addressed, it will improve the customer experience overall. Thanks Nitin
Location: Just in the middle of a lot of attractions with the main advantage of park and towers close by and the disadvantage that it may take some time to get to other attractions. Room: the more or less standard MO desgin, spacious, well thought out, clean and all amenities you can expect. If the door rattles, some paper will solve this: Of course the view to the towers is spectacular:. Staff: All very professional, friendly, efficient, well trained and willing to go the extra mile. 100%. Food: We only had one breakfast in the main restaurant once and while choice and quality were excellent it was way to noisy and disturbed. Otherwise we used the club room which offered a limited choice but of better quality and with its serenity was a much better start and finish of the day. Recommend club level anyway food and drinks served as well as service were fully worth the price. A nitpick: At the receptopn area there was a sign for club to check in directly in the lounge, alas it turned out in the elevator that you still have to go to the reception to get a key card for the elevator. Communal areas : Very nicely decorated, huge and very clean. Very nice pool with a terrific view. All in all a memorable stay pampered by wonderful staff.…
