Booked a deluxe room for a 3 nights’ stay, and was utterly disappointed with the room condition. It’s very mouldy, it triggered my nose and caused a flu. The toilet is disgusting and the wall is dirty. I don’t even dare to sit in the room. I cried and booked another hotel in Bukit Bintang and checked out the same day, burning the rest of the booking. It was such a horrible experience entering the room I will never come back here again. I only manage to take one photo of it because it is too disgusting to even take others.
We specifically booked this hotel because it had a view of the Petronas towers from the bedrooms and the view was great. The room was ok, looking a little tired but I guess that is to be expected after COVID. The hotel is close to 2 shopping malls and the KL Hub where Bintang Monorail station is, is about a 10 - 15 min walk away. It had a nice pool, although no view of the towers from it. The hotel did service breakfast and have an onsite cafe but we did not eat in either. Good base for a couple of days exploring.
Heard wonderful reviews from couple of my friends regarding the hotel before covid happens hence decided to try it for the family trip. A few days before the trip, decided to check online reviews and got a shock at the low ratings they got but hence decided to just go through with it. No help with baggage whatsoever because they change it to self service . Bare in mind that we are coming in with small children. Staff at the check in however was nice. Check in was a breeze. Rooms was dated. Facilities like swimming pool and gym we have to book as there is a limit but there is no one manning it. We follow the instructions for booking the swimming pool but it seems there was no need to book as other travelers were using it without the need to book for the services. House keeping 3 days once which is ridiculous. We have to book via the Qr code provided and that also seems to have problems as the info get passed to housekeeping late. View from our room was nice. Food for room service was left outside the door for long hours before some one pick them up. Lack of manpower is not a reason for cleanliness shortcomings. Check out too was a breeze. Hopefully they will improve their service as shopping center were walking distance. All connected via overhead bridge.…
I booked deluxe king but was given twin size bed. No housekeeping to make up the room is we stay less than 3 nights. Service was slow. Breakfast was so so. I wouldn't stay here again 👎 The only good thing about this hotel is the location. That's all.
Stay there for 4 nights, Furama was 1 of my favorite hotel during my business trip before MCO, I know this hotel become the quarantine hotel and I'm waiting it to re-open back to public. But this is a total disappointment for me this time: 1. Room was old - I understand and I don't expected much 2. Housekeeping - During my check in, I wasn't told by reception there is no daily housekeeping service until the 3rd day you stay, so I just call and ask them to send the bath towel and mineral water, but on the 4th night when I back to hotel, I found my room wasn't clean at all and I call the reception, suprisingly reception told me that I need to call and request for housekeeping, WTF??? Do you really expect your guess to do so? Housekeeping only will only perform after you requested? Shame on you as a hotel, even worst that a service apartment! 3. Breakfast - The breakfast is also one of my favorite before MCO, now, the restaurant is crowded and the food variety is the best among the hotel nearby. But now, all come in the opposite way, the staff is lazy, did not replenish the juice and buffet food after finish even I having my breakfast on 8am which is way far before the buffet ended. All the staff are not wearing uniform and I dunno which one is staff which one is guest, There is a lot empty table with full of food waste and dirty plates, some staff walkby and not even want to clean it? I can't imagine what are the hotel I stayed? I doubt I'm staying in a prison instead? Sorry I've to write it the rude way but this hotel, is not worth to come again, I will blacklist this hotel and for sure I will share my review to all my friends.…
For the price you pay, the place is certainly value for money. A smooth, clean and comfortable stay. If a trendy decor is what you're looking for then this probably isn't what you'd be in to. The buffet spread was quite sizeable too. The only let down for me was that the pool was not operational and it seems to be the case for a while now. As someone that frequents the gym and pool both at home and abroad a lot, it has become quintessential for me as a traveller for the property I visit to have both these amenities. Thus I was truly disappointed. The hotel was kind enough to empathize with my frustration by offering a room upgrade. My frown was turned upside down when I met Vinot, the attending bartender for the day I visited the Executive Lounge. His professionalism, politeness and personable demeanor was truly impressive. Definitely an asset to Furama Bukit Bintang. If there is anyone in particular I would thank the most during my stay there it would be Vinot. Thank you for making my stay a truly enjoyable one despite the hiccup!…
It is a nice hotel, reception staff is friendly. Breakfast is good Room is clean, but unfortunately there is no bath towel supply. When I ask for the towel from reception staff, they inform there is no sufficient towel today, I guess due to hari raya and high demand of room Location is strategic, can easily access to lalaport shopping mall and time square by walking
Room is spacious. But, the room fitting is old, need to refurbish to keep the good name of Furama. However, the fitting still workable and not issue. only a light not working in the bathroom for my room. Carpark at basement and it is free for guest. Pool is small, but have good view of Lalaport. There is a link bridge in front of hotel to the Lalaport and can walk to take LRT and monorail from there. I think the room facing Lalaport have a better view. It is still good for short stay.
Having to Quarantine in this place was never going to be a Holiday, I knew that going in. But to say it was mediocre is the understatement of the year. Starting with the food that was served to Quarantining guest. That fact the you have to quarantine shouldn't mean substandard food or service. Ordering of the menu, with inflated prices, compared to their take away menu, some items were 300% more. For example a 20 ML ringgit steak takeaway, was 80ML ringgit when ordered to you room. If they even remembered to make it. That happened on several occasions. Needless to say I would never return to this Hotel, quarantine or otherwise. Simply, Don't go there.
This is my second quarantine in Malaysia. Once I did in PJ Hilton, everything was great, however the hotel is not under one of the quarantine hotel anymore, therefore I took furama. Please stay away until something is done to this hotel. 1. Cleanliness - this place is so dirty that I could not stand another night in the first room that was given. The whole room smells cigarette and sweat and even the linen smells really bad. Changed to another room the next day, a little better. At least my bed doesn’t smell like sweat anymore. However, whenever someone is a smoking in another room, not sure how the ventilation works but my whole room smells cigarette again ! 2. The food- I am not those people that has high expectation on food. As long as you give me some edible food, I am happy. I cannot imagine I have to grab food every day and being so wasteful to throw out most of the food. The food that was given is really so bad! Also, whatever you ordered from the kitchen, no one time your order will be accurate. At the end, I gave up and not surprise when they mess up my order anymore 3. Management- I guess consider ok since they managed to find me another room the next day, but I guess they really need to manage it better from the kitchen to the housekeeping I will not ever come back to furama kl, this is maybe at best a 2 star hotel. Really bad experience, been smelling cigarette now and can’t wait to get out from quarantine tomorrow !…
