located near Chinese town, easy to access each sightseeing spots in nagasaki city. also comparably reasonable price from others. restaurant on 1st floor and breakfast buffet have various local dishes, also not so expansive. it is just regrettable, got impression reception was unfriendly and no hospitality.

We had a very pleasent experience with the receptionist staff at this hotel. Extremely welcoming. Good English. Offered us umbrellas for the dodgy weather. Always smiling and polite. I wish I remember his name but greatings such as this on check in can make an average room more acceptable and I think in this case it did.

Well located for touring Nagasaki, the Washington is an older typical Japanese hotel. Smallish but clean room with the usual amenities. We paid just 6,000 yen per night. The staff had some English and very very friendly. The small Chinatown is right beside this hotel.

Stayed for about 3 nights. A very well-located hotel, adjacent to Chinatown, near Dejima, and within walking distance to all the main downtown sites, including the harbor and art museum. My first impression of this hotel was not a good one, however. The smell of smoke in my "non-smoking" room was ovewhelming, and the decor was very dated. (Think mid... More

The hotel is right next to the Chinatown, and very close to the tram station. Room is small as standard hotel room size in Japan. It's a few stops from JR station by tram, and easily access to other tourist spots too. The booking I made with breakfast included which served with Japanese and Western food. Note that there is... A conveniently located hotel close to the China town and thus many hotels nearby. It is only 10 minutes from Nagasaki station which can be accessed by tram. There is a tram station - Tsuki Machi just 100 m away from the hotel. Travel by tram in Nagasaki is very cheap, just Yen 120/- per trip anywhere to anywhere within... More

This hotel has a very good location. The Kyokaen chinese place next door is very good (and there are a ton of other chinese options right around the corner in Chinatown). The historic site of Dejima is just a short stroll away. The Tsukimachi tram stop is a minute away - by the way, taking the tram is ridiculously cheap... More

The Washington Hotel is in a good location, with a nice cafe and bar area. Chinatown, with some great restaurants, is yards from the front door. Although a little dated, the hotel is clean and well maintained. The room was a little on the small side and you need to step up in to the capsule style bathroom. Overall, a... More

Location is in town just 4-5 stops on the tram from Nagasaki Station. Walking around town is easy enough but bikes can also be hired everywhere. Staff are very helpful and rooms are spotless. Typical Japanese mid-range option, you pay the money you get good service. Restaurant is good but so many other options in town. Take a walk up... More

The Washington hotel, Nagasaki has great rates (check on line daily). Great location in down town Nagasaki, right in Chinatown. Rooms are small but functional and the service is very good. Restaurants are crawling distance from the front door and there is a late night supermarket a few hundred meters from the front door. A department store is just around... More
