The best views in all of Osaka. Located on top of Osaka's tallest skyscraper, the new Miyako Marriott is a delight no matter which room you are in. The reception of the hotel is on the 19th floor. And rooms only start upwards of floor 38. Check in is friendly but bureaucratic. One is handed multiple forms and coupons. In Japan, they give you coupons that can be redeemed for breakfast. The first time we have seen something like it. Our rooms were large and clean. And that view was just phenomenal. The Club Lounge is large and has a wide selection of drinks. A good variety of Food is served for 2 hours every evening. A very generous display at their Cocktail hours. The staff was very nice at the Club Lounge. The location of the hotel at Tennoji is very convenient for getting around the area. There is a direct connection to Kyoto, Nara and even Kansai airport. Our favourite hotel in Japan, primarily for its views. …
…here, which ended this morning, was such a great experience and I would like to thank the staff once again. The views from lobby, my room and the restaurants were genuinely amazing; the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly; and I loved the two restaurants I tried. Plus they gave me free observation deck tickets and a cheaper breakfast deal as a guest.
The Marriott Miyako is located across the street from a train station and above a shopping area. It was very easy to shop and see the sights of Osaka from this hotel. We stayed on a high floor and the view was incredible. We were literally in the clouds. We ate in the lounge and breakfast one morning in the restaurant and the service was top notch. All of the staff helped to make this an enjoyable weekend for us. We also received tickets to the Harukas Observation deck. It was lovely to see the sunset from 60+ stories above Osaka. I would stay here again without a doubt.
Beautiful as expected from the Marriott brand. We are a family of 5 (3 kids) and even though we booked for that many people (and paid per person) we were provided with two rooms and only 4 beds. However the rooms were interconnecting which was great. They couldn’t provide a rollaway bed so we made do by pushing the singles together for 3 kids and that worked fine. Maybe if you are a large family ring ahead to make sure they have the right room combination. The staff were very polite and the rooms cleaned well everyday. Every room had an amazing view. Breakfast is continental so plenty of options for even fussy breakfast eaters. It’s right above the tenoji station so use this stop if you’re coming from the airport and the lift takes you right up to reception on floor 19. Definitely would stay at again.…
Tennoji, one of the trending district in Osaka which Marriott is also locating. Marriott Miyako Osaka is the one I must stay whenever I visit Osaka. Why? All belongs to the Amazing view from the hotel. Locating at the highest commercial building in Japan already making the noise for this hotel. Remember my stay 8 years ago when it was newly open. The amazing view all around the hotel made me shocked. As such, for my every visit in Osaka, I told myself I musy stay here even just for 2 nights. The hotel location and the room is still amazing. However, when comparing to my first visit, there are some points to note. (1) Free Abeno Harukas Tickets are offered to hotel guest for my 1st visit but they do not have it anymore. (2) I was expected TAAN product is still using but not (maybe due to their brand diretion changed to achieve environment friendly? Not sure..) (3) Since we are taking serveral bags and suitcase, unfortunately, no help is provided for us to take them to our room which seems unexpected to happen in Marriott But overall, its still an amazing hotel, but the reason I visit again would only be the view.…
We've been staying at this hotel since it opened, and it never disappoints. I grew up in Osaka and when I was young, Tennoji was not a very desirable area, but when they redeveloped and built Abeno Harukas where this hotel occupies the highest floors, Tennoji became one of the most likable areas in Osaka. It's super convenient to get around Osaka from here as well. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The gym, spa, and pool are all clean and nicely maintained. As a Marriott Bonvay member, you'll get an upgrade and sometimes, free breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel.
Fantastic hotel with a marvelous lounge, there are many great hotel choices in Osaka but this is the best one I have stayed in.If you have Marriot status, the executive lounge is a great benefit, I would definitely pay extra for the lounge at this hotel as the afternoon tea and evening canapes were fully worth the cost.
1/Very bad. We are gold member of Marriott, checked in the Osaka Marriott miyako today. Terrible check in experience, by 3pm, our room key was not ready, and luggage’s were not delivered to our room. Even worse, there was no turn down service, even we pressed the button before leaving for dinner. When we came back, the room was not tidy up at all. Service manager told us turndown service is only available to club level and suite. We are shocked, this is a very common practice to all guests. Since when Marriott has changed the term of turndown service. This manager is very arrogant, he did not bother removing his shoes when coming to our room. And he said this hotel is not 5-star….
This is the worst hotel reservation experience I have with Marriott hotel. I've always try to stay with Marriot hotel whenever I travel in the past 20+ years whether for leisure or business, but this experience with Marriott Osaka Miyako is going to change my perception on Marriott hotel. Going through at least 5 rounds of emails bouncing back and forth and discussing different date. They could not accommodate us with family of 5 even when I told them hotel room type can be any combination as long as it is available. And even on some date where they were full of rooms available, they just refuse to let us have 3 person in a room (with another room of 2). Worst hotel reservation I have and I've stayed with Hilton and they are so accommodating to our request for family of 5. Even with their Japan room which only accommodate 4 person, they let our family of 5 stay together. Service standard is hell of the different level between Hilton and Marriot in this case.…
For me, the Marriot Osaka Miyako Hotel ranks among the best of hotels in Osaka without having to pay an exorbitant room rate. Service was excellent, food was great and the room was very comfortable with everything you need including safe, air-con and iron. Location is very good, on top of Tennoji railway and subway station with close proximity to shops including the excellent Kintetsu Department Store. High floors offer superb views both day and night. The electric toilet took time to master. The air-conditioning was somewhat poor as I could never get the temperature down to 'cold'. There was a Sharp plasma cluster air purifier in the room which was excellent - quiet and really effective. Note that mask wearing and social distancing is still needed in the hotel which means that some tables for larger groups are unavailable. I will certainly return next time I am in Osaka.…
