The room was very small, but i think it is a Japanese thing. The bed was really comfy and the pillows were amazing. Loads of amenities (dental and shaving kit) and coffee/tea included in the room price. Electronic toilet in the bathroom, with the heated seat. Staff is really friendly and always ready to help. 5 different restaurants inside the hotel. Located 10 mins walking from Osaka station, perfect to explore the city or move around.
I’ve stayed at so many IHG hotels (Platinum and Ambassador) around the world and most of them never disappoints but this hotel is probably going to be a one off stay. Staff were not that friendly at check in (very strange considering most Japanese are very friendly) and the room given on Club floor were very dated and old. The TV is also super old too (imagine the thick version) and the bed is so hard that it almost feels like you’re sleeping on a Futon on the floor. Feels very YMCA. The only great thing about the hotel is the Club Lounge where I spent most of my time here. Lots of food options and great ambience. Oh sauna was lovely too. Nothing else apart from that.
Really nice hotel in a decent location, walking distance from Umeda and various subways. Easy access to Shinsaibashi,Namba and Dotonburi by a short subway ride. Sits behind a great little district with bars and restaurants (no noise). Staff friendly. Happy with my room. As it was only me, I booked a single room. It had a small double bed). Breakfast was good buffet style, not cheap but standard for this calibre of hotel. Club upgrade worth it if you’re going to be in the hotel for a fair whack of your day or not going out for dinner (I wasn’t one of these people so it had no value to me). To get to airports, they will bus you to the local airport bus stop and you can get the airport limousine from there. Would stay here again.
We only stayed two nights and wish we had stayed longer. While our room was a little small for us, the professional and very friendly staff made us regret to have only stayed two nights.Everything was easy and stress free. We arrived not having any concrete plans of what to do so after our morning flight. Once checked in, we decided to get some lunch at the Cafe in the Parc Restaurant. What a delight! The food and the service was great! Rina, our server was a breath of fresh air. She saw me viewing an area map and asked if she could help and was a wealth of information. She was so knowledgeable and poised. She really made an impression on us. So much so that we gave her our contact information if she is ever in town. We had dinner the first night at the MAISON TATERU YOSHINO which earned a Michelin gold star (2020). In the afternoon , we sought out the manager, Kakumotos, with a special request for my husband's birthday. He was so friendly and accommodating and took care of everything even though the restaurant was not open and he clearly had work to do. That evening, the the expert staff made the evening special. The food was fantastic and deserving of a Michelin gold star. Komatsu, our maitrê d was memorable. Not only was he extremely knowledgable and very professional, he was warm and friendly and spoke at least 3 languages! He made the evening truly special. The high caliber of the entire staff was very impressive. This coupled with the delicious and artistically present food and the elegant decor, I would recommend to anyone visiting Osaka to make time for a meal at MAISON TATERU YOSHINO.…
Starting with the large modern lobby to the equally large modern rooms and comfy beds, this is an excellent hotel for the travel weary. Our room had a small foyer for your luggage with a pant press and from which you access the sink and a separate bath room with toilet and bathtub/shower. The room itself was one of the largest we encountered in Japan and included a nicely appointed roomy sitting/desk area. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast buffets in the hotel restaurant which had a variety of excellent foods, including great ice cream and wonderful desserts. The only downside was over $15 (Can) per glass draft beer at the dinner buffet - possibly one of the most expensive draft beer I have paid for. That was a bit of a spoiler. But otherwise I would recommend this hotel without reservation.…
