This hotel location is very convenient, with access to most area around Osaka Station via underground tunnel with clear signage so finding your way will be easy.
The check in process is fast and the elite recognition is quite good. The corner room that I stayed in is large and spacious with comfortable bed and chairs. The view of the surrounding area from the room is also very nice especially for sunrise. Bathroom is stocked with lots of amenities and refilled proactively by the housekeeping everyday so I do not have to phone for extra items or refill
I had breakfast everyday in the hotel and it is just average breakfast experience because even the taste is very good but there is no rotation in the menu everyday so it get quite boring for long term guests.
Overall it is a very good experience to stay here and I would not hesitate to return in the future.

Had the opportunity to visit this well-maintained (and newly refreshed) establishment for 2 nights. Arrival at the hotel was met promptly by staff who directed me to the front desk. Check-in was efficient; staff (throughout the premises) were professional, friendly, helpful and welcoming. Lobby and common areas are notably Ritz-esque – with ornate, perhaps overly ornate decorations and furnishings; it is somewhat of an acquired taste. Assigned room looks refreshed (very nicely) with well-appointed amenities. Importantly, it was functional with ample electrical outlet, good wifi signal, and conveniently located switches to manage the room’s lighting and curtains – everything worked as expected. Bed was comfortable, the bathroom was of a nice size with a great shower (good water pressure) and was generously supplied with expected amenities. Only issue was the room temperature that could only be lowered to 18 C, which is too warm for this client; indeed throughout the hotel, the temperature setting was uncomfortable warm. Quality and variety of breakfast options at the Splendido restaurant was very good; there was a nice mix of local and western food offerings. For me, the hotel served its purpose – it provided good value for the rates charged. Greatest virtue is the staff - and I would have given a 5 star rating if not for the temperature setting – particularly when the outside temperature was 31-32 C; I should not be sweating standing/seating in the lobby. But it is a very nice establishment particualrly if you like the rich, ornate look and feel.

This was my first trip to Japan, and the hotel, hospitality and service here was spectacular!
The Ritz is located in a posh shopping area where you can walk a few steps outside the hotel and see high-end stores like Prada, Gucci, Hermes, etc. They have an underground tunnel connecting the property to the metro and multiple restaurants, a 7-1, department stores, and shops.
I arrived via Taxi from the airport, and there were multiple people outside of the hotel who warmly greeted me and assisted with bags. I was walked over to check in, where hotel manager, Simon checked me. Check in was fast, and was very informative and he was so friendly, and was patiently answering questions I had. I really appreciated that. They did comment on my Titanium status level and had upgraded me to a very nice suite, and there were chocolates, fruit and a very nice handwritten note when I got to the room.
The room was very nicely appointed, and I appreciated a consistently filled in bottled water area. They stock 4 bottled waters in the morning and in the evening. The bathroom amenities were amazing. As an American, I’m not used to being given these items in our hotels in the U.S., hair bushes, bath salts, razors, toothbrushes and toothpaste, etc. There were also complementary coffee and tea, slippers, PJs, and a robe. I stayed for five nights, and it was extremely quiet during the daytime and nighttime.
All of the people in the hotel, shops and restaurants were extremely warm and friendly. The hospitality here far exceeded my expectations.
The Ritz hotel very classically decorated, as usual, with lots of ornate wood, elegant fireplaces, and classic old-world elegance.
I will definitely stay here again when I visit Osaka again!

Top brand hotels of foreign hotel chains have been opening in Osaka, and this hotel was a pioneer of them. It is the first Ritz-Carlton brand hotel to open in Japan. Its long track record has been recognized, and it is the only five-star hotel in Osaka in the Forbes Travel Guide. The hotel has only 250 rooms, but with a chic and calm interior, you will feel like you are not in Japan the moment you enter the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel is also so good that it has been awarded a star in the Michelin Guide. If there is one drawback, it is that the price is not something you can usually afford.

This was my first trip to Japan, and the Ritz-Carlton, Osaka property really made the whole experience complete. From check in to check out, the Ladies and Gentlemen graciously catered to our every need. The rooms are rather large and the bathtub and bath salts were especially enjoyable after long days spent exploring the city. We really had a phenomenal stay and can't wait to visit again.

My recent stay at The Ritz-Carlton Osaka redefined luxury hospitality, creating what I can confidently declare as the most extraordinary birthday experience of my life. As a first-time visitor to Osaka and this iconic hotel from China, I was profoundly moved by the genuine warmth and cultural bridge-building demonstrated by every team member.
Special recognition goes to Mr. Simon Firch, the Loyalty Manager, who epitomized Japanese omotenashi. He personally welcomed me in the chilly evening air, escorted me to my room, and curated unforgettable birthday surprises - from the meticulously arranged blue key card to the exquisite kimono-clad lion mascot, claimed to be the last of its kind in the hotel. His passionate property tour revealed the hotel's soul - whether explaining culinary artistry at restaurants, showcasing the majestic banquet halls, or detailing the serene pool area, his insights deepened my appreciation for the Ritz-Carlton legacy.
The General Manager elevated the experience further by personally meeting me and commemorating the occasion with a photograph - a gesture reflecting the hotel's leadership commitment to guest connections. Mr. Takeshi Hara.charmed with culturally thoughtful gifts, while Ms. Asmita Oilluminated mornings with her radiant smile and impeccable breakfast service.
As an international traveler, I particularly valued how the staff bridged cultural gaps through kindness. This urban oasis doesn't just accommodate guests - it makes them feel like family. I'll enthusiastically recommend The Ritz-Carlton Osaka to all discerning travelers and eagerly anticipate my return to this haven of Japanese hospitality. From the moment you step into The Ritz-Carlton Osaka, you are greeted with a distinct European classical charm. Entering the hotel feels like stepping into a completely different world compared to the bustling streets outside. The decorations, artwork, and furnishings throughout the hotel exude sophistication and a timeless elegance. I stayed here at the end of November, and Christmas decorations were already beautifully displayed, creating a festive atmosphere that was perfect for photos and truly praiseworthy.
The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive during my stay. Special thanks to Mercel for personally escorting me to my room and introducing the hotel’s facilities with enthusiasm. Mercel was also incredibly helpful in solving any issues I had during my stay. I booked a suite for this visit, and the space was impressively large—even featuring two separate bathrooms. The suite’s bathroom provided bath salts, which I highly recommend using for a relaxing soak. All amenities in the room were of the highest quality, so you can use them with confidence.
Breakfast was another highlight, offering a wide variety of options with excellent quality and unique dishes served daily. It’s a must-try experience. I also made use of the cocktail hour at the executive lounge, where I enjoyed a selection of cocktails while taking in the stunning Osaka night views, which truly elevated the entire experience.
In terms of location, the hotel is conveniently close to Umeda Station. You can access nearby shopping malls and the subway through an underground passage, though it takes about 10 minutes to walk. Despite this, the location is very convenient overall. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

The service that we received at the Ritz-Carlton Osaka was top notch. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted and checked in by the Loyalty Manager, Simon. Our bellman went through the beautiful room with us to show us how everything works and where everything was located. The breakfast buffet had a variety of offerings to satisfy our appetite and hold us over for the day. The hotel is in a great location within a 5 minute walk to Osaka station which was easy to use for a day trip to USJ and Kyoto. All of the staff members went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was enjoyable and memorable.

Great stay at the Ritz-Carlton Osaka! Thanks to Chase Sapphire, we were immediately upgraded to a nicer room, given late checkout, free breakfast, and an on-site hotel credit. The room was on the top floor with a great view of the city. The room itself was large and well-outfitted and the bed was incredibly comfortable and plush. Some of the furniture seemed a little dated to me, but the Ritz is not a "modern" hotel- in fact, this entire hotel felt like a trip to the 18th century British countryside: marble everywhere, huge fireplaces, dark and heavy upholstery. While we hoped for a bit of a Japanese twist on the Ritz brand, we loved the staff, the breakfasts at Splendido, and the overall consistency of service across other Ritz-Carlton brand hotels. It was conveniently located not far from the train station and the hotel connects directly to a large underground tunnel system that brings you to the subway, department stores and more.

We stayed for 2 nights in one of the recently renovated rooms - the hotel definitely has a traditional, old British architecture vibe and the design decor of the lobby is stunning. The location of the hotel is excellent (around a 5-6 minute walk to Osaka station) and the service provided by the staff is amazing.
In terms of the room, the furniture is very much in line with the rest of the hotel and is truly beautiful. The bathroom was massive and was one of the most aesthetically pleasing ones I have seen. The beds were a bit firm for my liking but didn't really have any issues with that. Also as it's a Ritz, didn't expect much in terms of elite benefits, but we were given a 2,000 JPY credit which we utilized for breakfast one day and it was a nice little surprise
