Guesthouse Tennoji is in a great location, just 10 minutes walk from Tennoji Station which is on the main line to the centre of Osaka. The hostel is super clean and the beds are comfortable. There is a fully equipped kitchen and fridge you can also use the lovely Japanese lounge to chill out in. The lounge has Japan travel... More

There weren't many people staying when I was there so I didn't really meet anyone which was a shame, but there's a nice living room area to hang out in. Make sure you get someone to help you with the DVD player if you want to watch a movie and don't speak Japanese... There's no instruction manual to help you... More

Good hostel, very clean and good location very nearby the subway and JR. There is not much privacy between other guests, the bunk beds have no privacy curtains and the baths between boys and girls are also in the middle. But otherwise it was very confortable, very clean and the staff were also very nice.

This place is a house, it doesn't feel like a hostel to me, apart from the bunk beds. It feels cosy! The bedding was nice and comfortable and the shower/ toilets divided for men and women. The only complaint I have is that the front desk was unmanned when we arrived after walking around all day. We had to call... More

The guesthouse was very clean and well maintained, the bedding was quite comfortable. The location seemed to be good it was close to Tennoji Station making it less than a 10 minute ride away from Namba, Shinshaibashi. One thing to keep in mind is that their reception closes at 10pm, if you plan to arrive late you should look for... More

I stayed here for the last night of my trip (late Nov'14) before returning to home. Overall everything is that needed, this guesthouse delivered and in excellent manner. It is very very clean, the facilities are adequate, well maintained and very comfortable, hence do not worry about your choice (I stayed in over 15 guesthouses overall in Japan to know... More

Close to Tennoji JR & the subway station, the location is perfect. Also food wise there is enough in the neighbourhood to enjoy. Hostel itself is clean, beds soft and warm and the hosts are friendly. I recommend this guesthouse for a stay in Osaka and to use it as a base for trips into town or Nara and Himeji,... More

Very late responses to emails made it difficult to book on time. I have to keep emailing to have more booking confirmed and also to get directions to the guesthouse. On arrival man wasn't helpful at all (which is surprising for the Japanese) I ended up staying elsewhere as the particular person I was dealing with was not helpful at... More

First of all, we are sorry for not being able to reply you soon, but we tried everything to help you on your arrival. First and foremost, you did cancel your booking on that night of your check in date. We usually charge the cancelation fee but since it seemed like you were having some troubles at the airport, we... My friend and I stayed for one night in a shared dorm in April 2014. I liked the hostel, it is very reasonably priced and spotlessly clean. The lounge is decorated in a homely Japanese style and the kitchen has everything you need. The showers are good and soap/shampoo was all provided. The hostel is very close to Tennoji station... Stayed two nights in 4-bed dorm. Got in late and the lady stayed open for me to check in which was nice. Rooms weren't spacious but enough for sleeping and storing bags. The common room has a tv and laptop, and there is free wifi. They also have heaps of tourist brochures on osaka if you forget your Lonely Planet.... More
