I had a friend I hadn’t seen in Seventeen years come and stay in Hiros Guesthose. Hiro is a long time friend of myself and a lot in my network of expats living here. We are familiar with and love Kohong [Hiro] and his guesthouse, often utilizing the downstairs for gettogethers. So it was fitting having my pal stay here. A lTe night out on the town and I myself missed the last train and had to stay myself. The tatami mat room we had reserved was a perfect place to rack and the day room, great to unwind. Other guests were pleasant and we enjoyed time with new faces. The next morning I’d let Kohong know I too had to stay. He said no problem and even discounted my stay under the conditions. I really appreciated his kindness. We even saw him the next morning As we enjoyed foods

This place is great for those who came to Osaka not to sleep, but to see Japan. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable, with TV, table, water, shower and toilet. Beds are comfortable. The host is very pleased, and the guesthouse is located in Korea Town, which allows you to experience not only Japan, but also Korea. Very good location, because only two metro stations are allocated to the main Osaka districts.

This was my first trip to Japan. A friend recommended Hiro’s guesthouse to me. Immediately I was put at ease by Hiro’s kindness and welcoming hospitality. The guesthouse is situated in the middle of Korea town in Osaka. It is quite busy during the day with vendors selling tasty Korean food. At night the area it is quite quiet and peaceful, but still there are plenty of delicious local restaurants open late within walking distance. Also within walking distance are public baths and a gym with a pool. It is about a ten minute walk to Tsuruhashi station which will easily connect you to all the places you want to see in Osaka. At Hiro’s, you can get a bed in a dorm room or a private (I think) ryokan style room, both for very reasonable prices. Hiro will be there to give you all the

I've created an account to write this review and thank Hiro for being brilliant yesterday. Me and my husband didn't stay at the guesthouse but were visiting Korea town and stopped for a couple of beers here (great value, nice cosy atmosphere). We got talking to Hiro and he's a lovely guy and was super helpful, going beyond what was necessary. We asked about local places to eat (it's his neighbourhood) and he not only suggested somewhere but 1) wrote an order out for us, as the place didn't speak English, 2) phoned and booked a table, 3) walked us there, 4) came back 20 mins later to check we were ok and give us a handwritten map of how to get back to the station! This was so kind. And the restaurant was the best Korean we've ever been to, superb. Totally recommend Hiro's place

I have nothing negative to say about my time spent at Hiro's Guest house. The location is great - surrounded by so many great restaurants and food stands. It is only a few minutes walk from basically anything you need. The accommodations are as good as it gets for anyone looking to stay in a hostel. I am headed back to Osaka in the next few months, and I will DEFINITELY be staying here again. Thanks Hiro!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hiro's in the Tatami room for 3 nights on arrival into Osaka and we absolutely loved it. We enjoyed having beers downstairs and sitting up on the rooftop at sunset. Our room was very comfortable and so nice to come home to after a big day. The location is perfect just a nice little stroll to a major train station on the main city loop. Above all this what made our stay wonderful was Hiro he was incredibly helpful and gave us all the tips and guidance we needed, we went to all the great parts of Osaka and he was so helpful with me being vegan on helping me figure out what to eat and how to ask for it. The okonomiyaki place Hiro suggested just close by is a must!! We will definitely be back to stay the dorm rooms looked great too. Domo Arigato Hiro!! :)

Hiro’s Guesthouse Have stayed here on multiple occasions, and whether staying one day or one month it seems to be my first choice when in Osaka. (Long term stays will deliver better rates).Location is culturally significant with a blend of Korea and Japan, and is situated on busy shopping street full of diverse, serendipitous food stalls, restaurants, and cafes. ( Satomi, my choice for the best Okonomiyaki in Osaka is just 5 minutes walk.) There is a cafe and kitchen within the guesthouse which gives you a good place to hangout and meet some locals, or just cook your meals. I think this guesthouse is a relaxed, and comfortable place to explore Osaka from, or, as i often do, use as a staging point to explore further destinations in Japan. Hiro, the owner, is a warm, nomadic

I haven't been to them all so I can't say for certain. Hiro is a great guy. I stayed with him for 6 months! I should know. His rate is perfect enough to be both affordable.... yet keep out the riff-raff. Hiro keeps the place clean and tidy. When I was there, he allowed access to the laundry machines on the ROOF! He runs a cafe/bar, most days, out of the first floor with the guest quarters on floors 2 and 3. He has 1 private room for rent. And the rest is bunk/barracks style that was good for me. This place is a bit off the beaten path. About 12 minutes fast walk from Tsuruhashi station. Also, he can be a stickler about electric usage..... i.e. shutting off lights and keeping the heater down. Good food along his 'korea town' road. The neighborhood is lively
