This hotel is situated opposite of grand front osaka and near shopping mall if you take airport shuttle bus just stop at new hankyu hotel and walk 5 to 10 mins . The room is big but dont expect have a good view .As I was arrived at night so I can straight to get my room promptly but if you arrive before 3 pm so i think you can't early get in as like another reviewer already told that as the Japanese practice always like this .The breakfast is not bad but everyday is the same as quite boring . So overall is recommended
Enjoyed my 4 day stay in their standard single room. New hotel hence everything was great. While I did not get to try their buffet breakfast, the breakfast set in the cafe was not bad. Hotel is walking distance front Osaka station (less than 10min) opposite grand front umeda and the new mall with yodobashi electronics.
Location: Hotel Vischio Osaka is quite conveniently located close to the train stations and shopping malls. From the JR line, you can just walk through Grand Front Osaka or the linkway that passes through another mall to reach the hotel. Facilities: We booked 4 superior twin rooms and the room is big. Plenty of walking space even with 2 medium sized luggage opened. Additional amenities provided at the lobby where you can easily collect what you needed. We also reserved halal Bento boxes through their website and the process was rather straightforward. There was a bit of a glitch on their website as there was error the first time I used it but it was okay a few days later. The bento box was very filling. The boxes did arrive only after about 15-20 min after we reached the restaurant and the staff was very apologetic about the delay. My family truly did enjoy the breakfast and this was one of the reason we chose the hotel for our stay. Service: We are used to the strict check in time of 3 pm as this was not our first time in Japan. Generally, hotels will check our reservation in their system and offer to keep our luggage while we explore the city. We expected this when we arrived at Hotel Vischio Osaka. So, we arrived early to put our luggage in the lobby before we proceed with our plan for the day. However, as soon as we arrived, one of the front line staff immediately said loudly to us "you cannot check in yet." Being from frontline myself, I understand that this is the fastest sentence to get the point across. Unfortunately it also comes off as rude. A better way, which other hotels employ, will be to say something like "Hi. Our check in time is 3 pm. Would you like us to hold your luggage first and you can come back later?" This will sound less negative and more of an offer to help the guests. After we clarified that we only wanted to put our luggage, I had to ask her if she would like to see the reservation confirmation letter first. For other Japan hotels that we've stayed at, the staff would check our letter on their system to confirm that we have a reservation. However, the staff here only look at the letter before proceeding with the keeping of the luggage. This may become a security breach or possible point of exploitation. A better way, which is done by other Japan hotels we've stayed at including Hotel Vischio Kyoto (which we went to after this hotel) was to start the check in process such as verifying our reservation, scanning our passports before issuing the hotel key card during check in time. This will also save time during the busy 3 pm check in hour. We do hope these suggestions will make the process more efficient. Conclusion: This hotel is really conveniently located, have spacious rooms and delicious breakfast. With better service, this will be a hotel I would love coming back to. …
Booked a single room, a bit on the small side, but everything is nicely laid out, so no issue. Nice to have humidifier in the room. There are some face wash, shaving cream, coffee, and tea in the lobby to bring back to the room. The location is very convenient, within 5-10 minutes walk from Osaka station and the airport limousine bus stop. I would definitely return there in my next visit
Pro: very well located in umeda station, new hotel, good amenities (they provide all of at counter for you to take) and provide delivery service for your luggage. Cons: It doesn't cater for any restaurant reservation and this includes same day booking. I will assume this has to do with tourist not keeping reservation and causing financial penalty to hotels. Overall, it is a very good hotel but you will need to reconsider if you expect concerige service on restaurant reservation .
We stayed here for 5 nights in December 2018. The hotel is located close to the Osaka JR station. You can access the hotel by passing through the shopping malls of Grand Fronts Osaka and the hotel is just across the road. It is so convenient especially on rainy / snowy days. We booked a moderate double room and a superior twin room. The rooms are spacious in terms of Japan standard. Don't forget the hotel is located at the heart of Osaka! It is clean, tidy and functional. There is a convenient store (within 1 min walk) and pharmacy (within 3 min walk) nearby. Plenty of shopping malls and restaurants in the area. Staff are helpful. They helped us to keep the luggages after check-out so that we can have some final shopping before leaving Osaka.
This hotel is very well located, about a block from the main train station and other transport options. We found it very easy to get around this area. There are many stores and restaurants around. If you don't speak Japanese, be sure to ask in advance if restaurants have an English menu as many don't, even non-Japanese restaurants such as Italian. Don't even think about trying to check in early at this hotel. We arrived at 1:00 in the afternoon and were briskly told to come back at 3:00. I'm not sure why they are so inflexible about this, it is certainly not the norm for hotels. The room was small but nice and comfortable. We often have an issue with housekeeping not doing our room until late afternoon, but we put out the sign requesting service as soon as we left the hotel in the morning, and the room was always done when we returned. No issues with housekeeping at all. The onsite Italian restaurant was excellent, both for breakfast and for dinner. Our breakfast was included in the room rate so I don't know how much that was, but the dinner was a tremendous bargain and the food was very good. We also had a half carafe of wine at a bargain price. The front desk tried to be helpful (except for checking in early) but English was very limited so communication was an issue. It seems like this hotel is primarily a Japanese business hotel and tourist needs, such as a concierge or tour desk, are given short shrift. That said, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.…
I like the design in the room with open closet. The hotel overall is new and clean. There are enough spaces for opening luggages. Location is very convenient to JR or Metro. It’s also closed to convenient stores.
On the good side: Rooms nice and large, much better than in Granvia. Rooms are the highlight. Location perfect. Just across the street for Shinkansen. Room for luggage, self-service procedures work well. To improve: Breakfast last order everyday at 9.30 (!!) No espresso machine. Selection of food ok but not outstanding. Receptionist could not speak Englisch well. At ~37000 (Superior with BF) per night overpriced (There are times where it is half of that and it still does not feel like a bargain)
