The rooms are lovely and new. It has a very traditional look without being a ryokan which is not for everyone. You get all the modern comforts and facilities. You must not miss the traditional japanese buddhist cuisine!

The room was well proportioned, bathroom was small but ok. The vegan brekky that they offered I couldn't eat because of mushroom allergies. I did try some pickled veg though which were okay. The location is a little outof the way if you are not driving. The subway is close by but not included in the JR pass most tourists buy. Overall very comfortable for stay.

Came here to stay and had an amazing vegan breakfast. Rooms were cozy and clean. They accidentally charged us for breakfast but then quickly reversed the charge. Quiet sleep and close to shrines and temples.

施設 清潔感があり非常に良い。スタッフの方の対応も丁寧で親切。館内はお香の香りが漂い、非常に静かで、街の喧騒から離れた感じで落ち着く。 Facility Very clean, very quiet, the incense smells really nice! A way from the city noise to relax. Staffs are kind and very polite. Dinner “Shojin ryori” doesn't serve fish or meat, surprised to see the only vegetables and grains makes such a beautiful meal! They taste wonderful, especially I liked the “Suimono” (soup) the “dashi” was really tasty!!

Wanting to stay somewhere different and being a Zen Buddhist, I somehow managed to find this place. Attended both Zazen & Sutra chanting over two days. Loved the Buddhist monk breakfast. Very hospitable staff. In particular Miwako was most charming and I loved talking to her. She shared her passion for helping guests enjoy the lodging and her home town. Thank you Miwako and Team Waqoo for making my visit so memorable.
