I stayed on the woman's floor (6th floor) where I had my own room(not a capsule) for 3 nights; need to go to the ground floor for showers (three shower rooms on the ground floor). Need some time to adjust to this mode. There is a blow dryer handy to use outside the bathrooms. The laundry facilities are also on...

Hotel Mikado is located near 2 train stations, it is also accessible to food places and convenience store such as Family Mart which is around 3mins walk from the Hotel. *If you are on a tight budget, Family Mart will be your bestfriend. They also serve affordable rice meals :) If you love to walk, there are a lot of...

Everything was fine, especially for the price of ¥2500/night. The hotel was close to 2 train/subway stations so getting around Osaka from here was a breeze. The only problem was that the restroom on the 4th floor was full of piss odour and there was no one there cleaning it for the whole day.

This area in Southern Osaka city is where most budget hostels are located and choices are plenty. However, the low price does not necessarily mean we have to put up with dirty hostels, unpleasant odour or noisy corridors which are the characteristics of almost all hostel found in that area (Sorry can't bear to name the dirty and noisy hostels...

This is my 2nd stay in this friendly budget hotel. Although it is located in a rather run-down district of Osaka, it felt safe even for a solo female traveller. Just like my last stay, the room was clean and tidy, and the price was unbeatable. Towels, toothbrush and pyjama were provided too. I asked for a room on ladies'...

Easy to locate. Near the subway and for those willing to explore out and away from the glitzy Osaka crowd, staying here offers you a chance to mingle with the locals, access to great local food and the shopping is really budget friendly. Hotel staff were very helpful. Rooms a tad small but it is an excuse to explore more....

Awesome price for what it is, great for the night before a flight out from KIX, they actually offer a train ticket for slightly cheaper than what you normally get at the station for a ride to the airport. The rooms were on the small side but that was to be expected. Great staff and service, would stay again.

The hotel was better than I had imagined. The room was clean and tidy. Although it is quite small, the space is sufficient for me. The facilities provided were more than enough. They even offered different brands of shampoo for visitors. The staff were polite. I had a nice time in Mikado. However, please be reminded that the toilets here...

This is a great basic hotel. No bells or whistles, but staff a friendly and helpful (unlike a hotel close by see my other review). Downstairs has a kitchen of sorts that you can use. Toilets on every floor, but only 3 showers on bottom floor and also has Japanese type public bath. IS very cheap and is clean. Rooms...
