Stayed 4 nights in single non-smoking room on 11th floor. Small but comfortable. Loved the little bench with cushions by the window. Power outlets at table and one on the wall next to the bed. Wall bar to hook clothes hangars. Couldn't find any English channels on TV so turned to my tablet to catch up on news using their...

This hotel is located right opposite to Nagano JR Station. My room is very quiet. It is bigger than my expectation. I was expecting a single bed but I had a double bed in my room. I think I was offered an upgrade. There is a convenient store right next door. I find the location very convenient.

We stayed at Hotel Sunroute Nagano for one night on our way to Nozawa Onsen, it is a short easy walk from Nagano Train Station via Zenko-ji exit and in a great location, great staff and the breakfast is good as well

Just a one night stop on our way to Shiga-Kogen. Found it very quickly after exiting the train station. Snow sports shop in the same building was perfect as we needed to buy a few items for our trip. Fantastic breakfast, loved the 'coffee jelly'! Very helpful and friendly staff, they looked after our suitcases after checkout so that we...

Excellent location across street from the train station. Many restaurants nearby and very helpful staff who directed us to buses and restaurants. Trip Advisor directions to cross the pedestrian overpass and bear right to find it were spot on.

This little hotel is probably one of the most comfortable we stayed at on our trip – the beds were super comfy and we were able to adjust the room temperature so that we didn’t overheat (always a problem when travelling in Japan in winter). The rooms aren’t big, but are well laid out. We had two rooms, a twin...

Property centrally located to the Nagano Station, very accomodating with requests, amazing breakfast to get the day started, rooms clean and well presented but more like a tic tac box, very small rooms, we decided to leave a day early due to snow falling on the mountains and were generously refunded for that night, the hotel is located on the...

Located just across the station/bus stop and highway bus stop. Typical Sunroute standard, only thing was, I stayed in the same room twice on two separate occasion and was assigned the same room as our previous stay (2 nights then went to Yudanaka for a night then back to Sunroute for another night), only to discover that the bed cover...

This hotel is a stone's throw from the station, and is 20-30min walk from the big temple complex in Nagano. There is a supermarket 5min walk away. The staff spoke English and were helpful. The room was small (but that is normal in Japan), clean and warm (important as it was winter and actually snowed overnight).

This hotel is located very conveniently in the city center, near the train station. If you come by car as we did, the hotel as limited own parking available but there were plenty of other options very near as well. One of the ladies from reception desk spoke English and even walked around with us to make sure we find...
