Hotel is between 5-10 minutes walk from the forecourt of Nagano JR station. Reception and check-in was efficient although we arrived before the check-in time of 2pm and wasn't able to use the room until that time. The room was clean but quite tight mainly due to the small table and two chairs which I feel were unnecessary and took...

The room was very big and the price was very reasonable. The service was excellent. It was very cold when I reached the hotel. Without hesitation, the reception offered me a warm towel. The hotel is also very near to the station. Will stay in this hotel if I am in Nagano again.

We only stayed for one night but we were very happy with the hotel, staff and our room. The staff went out of there way to help us. The room and bathroom were clean & comfortable. We could get to the station easily walking. We enjoyed our short stay.

At the Nagano JR station, take the Zenkoji exit, once your at street level turn right...you will see the Comfort Inn. As soon as you pass the Comfort Inn, look right and you will see the Chisun sign at the top of the reddish building. It's about a 7 minute walk. I paid about $53US......for a standard single, booking 4 months...

I stayed one night at the Chisun Grand when a friend and I took a weekend trip from Tokyo to Nagano Prefecture. It's about 10 minutes walk from the train station, although a little tricky to find the first time. But if you don't want to walk, taxis are not outrageously expensive in Nagano and it's a very short ride....

Hotel rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable and staff were very courteous. For the amount paid, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in, all across the globe. There was also free coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the lobby, something not offered by far more expensive hotels. Very impressed. If I ever visit Nagano again, I will...

Lovely room, well appointed with a wonderful hair dryer (having thick, longish hair that's important). Good price if you book on booking. com or such (extending from the hotel will be much more expensive, seems to be common in Japan). The only bad thing was a terrible obnoxious smell in the bathroom, seemed to be coming from the floor. No...

History: Built 1997 and operated as Holiday Inn Express. Rebranded in 2011 as Chisun Grand. Previously stayed here about 8 times in 2000's in Holiday Inn Express era. Interior Decor: Elegant and functional. Exterior appearance: 12 story building, about 5-7 minutes walk from JR Nagano train station. Outside view from the room I stayed (411): Commercialized areas in downtown Nagano....

We got an amazing deal for this place, at 7500 yen a night for their "semi double room". In other places like business hotels, that would mean a tiny room with a tiny (most likely single) bed. But all the pictures seemed to show a proper sized bed so I booked it. When I arrived, the room was huge! Easily...
