This place was adorable! Very central to everything in Gion and very comfortable. I stayed here with my 6yr old son and we both enjoyed it very much, the night we stayed the place was hosting dinner and drinks in the common kitchen area and even though we were close to this none of the noise came through to our...

Nestled near Gion. Pretty walkable from the nearest train station and bus stop. Its walking distance to a lot of temples. The staff are fluent in english. The common pantry is spacious enough and you can use the amenities there from fridge to utensils. Make sure that you check the location on google maps and familiar the facade in the...

Not just your ordinary back packer dorm....Nestled right in the heart of Kyoto old corner, this typical Japanese BnB or locally known as ryokan, will infused you with the Japanese culture. Try the family room and sleep on the futon. Try the pottery bath at the premises. Old Gion district, old Higashiyama neighborhood, Kiyomizudera temple, and Yasaka temple are all...

We arrived late at night from Australia, and the cab driver had some difficulty finding the laneway where q-beh is located. I had saved it on Google maps so we were able to direct him quickly to this old world part of Kyoto. The after hours combination lock on the front door and night staff all worked smoothly to get...

Great location right in Gion. Has a very traditional feel. The dorms are quite spacious with great privacy. Make sure to book the bath, it is very relaxing and great for couples. Only complaint is you have to press a button in the showers every minute for the water to run.

I took first a double room for myself with garden view, traditional Japanese style, & ensuite. I found the Japanese bed very comfortable, and the whole room very clean, warm and welcoming. There was a complimentary light kimono too. Then I decided to experience a female dormitory cabin. Again even with the shared facilities everything was so clean and well...

We stayed one night in this charming Ryokan and really enjoyed the experience. The staff is super nice and the place beautiful with a charming zen garden inside. Common spaces are extra clean and the room was so cozy and the "futon" so confortable. In addition it's located in Gion, the traditionnal area of Kyoto, the most nice and quiet...
