It's not often that I find service to be the outstanding feature of a hotel. The Kyoto Hyatt Regency is well-located, the rooms are comfortable and the price is right. But what sets it apart is the quality of the service. The concierge staff was especially helpful. They took our lengthy list of restaurants we wanted to go to and...

This is a nice hotel with international food and international facilities; Japan is beautiful but is different to what we use to so after some days, we needed something familiar and international food to be able to continue with the traditional experiences

I have stayed at the property numerous times over many years. Great location, first rate staff, great bar, good breakfasts. The proper combines modernity with a feeling of being in the old Japan: omotenashi and 21st century amenities. Guests are treated with care and anticipation. New GM can only try to top the deservedly famous previous GM.

We visited the Tousan Japanese Restaurant in the Kyoto Hyatt Regency for lunch. It offered excellent choice ranging from set menus to lunch buffet (2800 yen). The food was fresh, delicious and well presented. Random visitors may be deterred from visiting a five-starred hotel restaurant but need not be. Dinner is usually pricy but lunches offer value for money. A...

Highly recommend the Hyatt Recency. The entire staff were amazing and the service was impeccable. The staff accomodated to our family's needs and provided children kimonos and hygiene supplies. We will definitely be back.

I gave this hotel 4 stars last time I stayed here. While I had no real issues the first time, this time I just felt like the hotel had upped its game a notch in every way. We had a top notch experience, despite not getting any upgrade as a Diamond member (one of the negatives of this hotel usually...

very pretty rooms, the hotel seems not locating in a very convenient place, I had to take taxi all the time. But it is quite close to Fushimi Inari and a Koimizu temple. Some rooms are "wall facing" but beds are comfortable.

I stayed here for 2 nights in early November. The hotel is a bit unassuming at first but found the room to be pretty nice. I just had a basic king room that looked down on the parking lot and entry below. Even with the window open, I did not find it noisy. The room was spacious and clean. Plenty...

nice room, great location, and one of the best diners we had on the 10 day vaca was the Italian restaurant in the hotel (we got tired of Japanese food after 10 days of it) The only reason I am not giving 5 stars was we were there during the peak of the tourist visiting to see the fall leaf...

We stayed two nights whilst visiting Kyoto and the hotel was good. Very friendly and efficient staff. We had an upgrade to a corner room which was a good walk through various corridors but the room was very nice, good size and well appointed with an iPad to request any services or assistance. We requested more coat hangers and they...
