I stayed here for 3 night. I love the room, the Japanese style which is sleeping on the floor with the thin mattress (not recommend for who has back pain like my boyfriend's Mom). My room has city view which is amazing every morning I woke up. The room is small as Japanese standard, but because you can fold the mattress when you don't use, so, it looks a bit bigger than hotel has a bed in the room. The breakfast is really good if you choose Japanese style, the Western style is not really Western, it's a mixed between Western and Japanese taste which is really weird for me. I didn't walk around the hotel since we traveled with elders. We used taxi all the time but Kyoto is a amazing city. I love all the temples I visited, I touch the giant wooden pole in most of the temples to feel the great history behind it. Super cool city. Really different from crowed Tokyo.…
This is a nice hotel stuck in not the most convenient location. The walk to the subway is just a bit too far (8-10 minutes) to not take the bus (which runs every 4 minutes) but since you need to go down into the subway to get the 1 or 2-day passes, you need to walk this. Also, there is NO Internet in the hotel at all. Thus, the Internet cafe by the subway must be used. Other than that, this is a decent hotel otherwise. The reason I am the first review is that it has no Internet so anybody who uses Trip Advisor would never take it. I had to as Cherry Blossom Festival week many hotels in this price range were already sold out and therefore this hotel was worth having.
