City Center
No district of Kyoto is quite as representative of its blended nature as the City Center. By day, the covered shopping arcades along Kawaramachi and Shijo Street bring deal hunters and fashionistas out in droves to peruse the clothing, accessories, gifts, and home goods offerings. When it grows dark, the City Center is a hip spot for nightlife, alive with bars and clubs. A trendy culinary scene and an abundance of local watering holes give the Center its youthful vibrancy. In contrast, the quieter areas of the City Center seem a world away, shielded from noise by the foliage of the public gardens and zen spaces surrounding the area's shrines, castles, and the Imperial Palace. These ancient and sacred spots are seamlessly folded into the scenery, providing a respite from the energy of the city, but close enough to put you directly back onto the pulse of the city when you're ready.

A comfortable, reasonably-priced hotel in a great location near both downtown and Higashiyama area. The Kyoto-style room got a bit hot during the nights in May, and the air conditioner didn't have instructions in English. In addition, the curtains didn't cover the whole window

Dear Mr. / Ms. Pyrstis, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. Sincerely, Front Murashita

This hotel was in a quiet area of Kyoto, within walking distance to the Geisha Gion Prefecture and many good restaurants and bars. The rooms are small, on standard with most Japanese hotels. Only downside to note would be there was no air conditioner in the rooms, just a heater

I agree. Didn't see any parking nearby. we relied on public transportation and walking. (which was a reason we picked that hotel). Sorry I can't give you more info.
